- Meet The Soldier Reanimated - The Team Fortress 2 community comes together again to honour a fallen soldier.
On the 8th of April 2020, Rick May passed away and this is our way to say thank you and show our love for Rick May and his many performances.
This project is not supposed to be a huge scale fundraiser or anything but rather a thank you note from the community to Rick May.
Thank You for the many laughs Rick May. 1940 - 2020.

I've left the team fortress 2 community for a while now, nobody knows me of course but I used to play it a lot when I was younger, and seeing this video reminded me of rick may, and I immediately watched it, not only to honor the man but to just enjoy the sweetness of love the community of tf2 has for its actors and the game itself, I love to see this kind of stuff in communities and to see this video made from multiple people putting time and effort in to make animations real life or not, brings a tear to my eye, I love this community.

It's got some good meme potential.
2 little nitpicks I have though, 2 minor, pathetic, stupid little nit picks is that the definition of zoo is in the “c” section of the dictionary, and the page where the definition of zoo is, is paper white rather than the slightly pale yellow pages of the dictionary. But this could also imply soldier just glued it onto the dictionary page and since he isn’t very bright, glued it on the wrong section.

Wow, this is absolutely incredible! Really brings back the memories of first getting in to this game.
I had to double take when the 3D section started, and triple take when seeing the IRL. Not just one, but 3 fantastic, charming reimaginings of meet the soldier really makes me feel spoiled. Massive, massive props to all that took part in this project, every one of you deserves a medal

Every time I watch this video my eyes water. Not just for the thousands of hours I spent playing, but for reminding me of a good time in my life when I didn't have too many worries. Thank you Rick May, thank you Valve and most of all thank you community.
These videos are a reminder for me that games are something far beyond than just entertainment. They bring us together to form memories, to celebrate, to mourn the ones that passed away during or after release
The IRL section was still very well done! even if it wasn't quite finished.
RIP the legendary voice actor. He will always be the best soldier.
