my biggest theory from this book is that when Adolnosium was shattered, his mind became the Iriali people somehow. we know that Adolnosium wanted to experience the universe, and the Iriali seem to be the only ones in tune with "the one". that's my tinfoil hat theory
@@deadcaptainjames6045 Can't wait to see what happens with the Iriali and the space opera phase of Cosmere! =O What's up with the fourth moon and destruction of Natanatan during Honor and Odium's fight? So much setup!

Loved this style of review! It’s so fun to see your reactions after each day and see how they were similar and/or different to mine. There’s just something fun about seeing someone talk about the book as they are reading it instead of just after they’ve read the entire book
Slightly auspicious that I myself read the book in nine days, the number of odium… Well not Odium anymore. It blows my mind how well the time dilation twist makes the entire timeline of the cosmere line up… because I knew that the next books Brandon is going to write will be Mistborn era 3 and Elantris 2+3, but we thought those would be set AFTER the back half as we didn’t know about the time dilation. But it makes so much sense that he’s taking a break from Stormlight to show us the rest of the Cosmere during that 80 years. It will be a while (7 years minimum, I’m preparing for longer) until he gets back to Stormlight. I forgot you hadn’t read Era 2, but some of those mistborn references will clear up if you do that. I have some clarification of The Dyel interlude, about the Iriali girl that leaves through the portal with her mother. I wrote those character pages on the Coppermind wiki, as it were. Quite proud of myself for that. But anyway, the Iriali have a religion called the Long Trail that says that the Iriali must travel to 7 lands before they reunite with The One. Roshar is their 4th land, and they went through the portal to Shadesmar, from which they will walk across the cognitive realm to another planet. This next land may be Scadrial, may be Lumar (tress world). We don’t know, but I personally think that the Iriali religion has some nuggets of truth and that something about it predicts the future of the Cosmere. The three suspicious men in that interlude 1) showed up in a Way of Kings interlude also and 2) are from Scadrial (Mistborn), Sel (Elantris), and Taldain (White Sand). Oh, and if you’re curious about what will happen to Sigzil and Szeth’s Highspren 12124, look no further than the Sunlit Man! I read it before Stormlight 5, and it will be interesting to see what it will be like for you after having read Wind and Truth. The Shin bread that Nohadon gave Dalinar is just normal sourdough or white bread. He describes it as abnormally fluffy because the Alethi usually just have flatbread with their curry. Gavinor as champion was a huge theory because of the death rattle predicting it. I don’t think anyone predicted he would be aged up in the Spiritual Realm, though. Also, Shallan is probably pregnant. It’s not confirmed however. If you want to see what Hoid gets up to next, Wax and Wayne would be the place to go! Whoooh that was a long comment. That’s what happens when you are bursting with excitement, I guess.
Thank you for the clarification!! It makes me feel like a famous person left a comment knowing you wrote in the Coppermind wiki! I am so curious about Sigzil and 12124 and didn't know there was a book for that! I'm shocked still at Gavinor being the champion and am excited to see where it goes now that he's aged up. I am confident Wax and Wayne + all the other books I haven't read yet should help fill the Wind and Truth sized hole in my chest haha
Hey, Iliyana! Love the video! 💖💖💖 I loooooved Wind and Truth. Blitzed through it the way I've never blitzed through anything. Couldn't stop reading. It ended about how I imagined it would (in a good way). Epic, devastating, and bittersweet. The events of this book make me even more excited now about the Cosmere as a whole. My biggest surprise probably came in chapter 100. (the fact that Brandon made it work that THIS is the chapter 100... iykyk). I did not expect to get that perspective at all. I did not expect Brandon to go there, you know. But he did, and honestly, he couldn't have done it any other way. SPOILERS FOR The Stormlight Archive 1-5, Mistborn 1-3, Tress of the Emerald Sea below (clearing some things mentioned in the video and commenting on others some others) That first Mistborn reference you weren't sure about is a reference, yep. You might wanna re-read the first interlude (Kalak) to put some things together. Or, you might just read Mistborn Era 2 and Secret History and put things together then (the audiobooks and B$ pronounce Sazed as SAY-zed) And while you re-read that interlude, do you remember how Elend found out about Valette actually being a thief? (hint, he hired a person whose name you will find familiar while reading the interlude) Another Mistborn reference, which you probably didn't notice, was to Vin. (the end of Ch. 25) When Hoid was talking about people giving up the power of a Shard. He said that it happened once. And it wasn't a full Ascension. They gave the power up and it proved to be the wrong choice, but it was the most selfless thing he'd ever witnessed. The Baxil guy is from Interlude 7 in the Way of Kings. They sneak into a palace so that his Mistress (who, obviously, later turns out to be Ash) gets to deface a sculpture. While she does that, he talks with his cousin about wanting to go to the Nightwatcher. And says that if he could phrase his request just right, he would get just the boon and avoid the curse. The spikes Moash gets aren't the same as Inquizitor spikes, but they are functionally the same. They allow him to see the world through Investiture. Which means that he can see spren now, and kill them with antiLight. Ah, the Dyel interlude. I'll just say that it combines Interlude 1 of TWOK (Ishikk and 3 strangers), Interlude 5 of TWOK (Axies and Cusicesh) and Interlude 2 of WOR (Ym being killed by Nale) And I will also say that it might not be a bad idea to re-read chapter 2 of Tress, which is set in the far future of the Cosmere, if you wanna get more context (btw, you should be able to recognize one of the strangers' names. You haven't read the books for the other two) Funnily enough, people did predict the Champion. It was probably the most common theory along with Shallan's mom theory. We didn't know the minutia of it, but there are Death Rattles predicting it (the epigraph for Chapter 57 in TWOK) The Shallan cradling her stomach. Yep, that's what most people read into it. To understand where Hoid is and what's up with him. Read Secret History. Read Mistborn Era 2 The Hoid book is coming after Stormlight 10. The Hoid trilogy, actually. Called Dragonsteel. And it will be detailing the Shattering. The current plan is for the 6th Stormlight book to come out in 2031 (he's gonna write Mistborn Era 3 and the two Elantris sequels in the meantime). We will also be getting the Horneater novella at some point in the 7-year gap (showing up what is up with Rock). The ketek at the end is really fascinating. It makes sense on some level. But I wonder if there's something else there.
This was so in depth thank you! I am shook at the champion I never would've guessed it lol! 2031 makes me heart ache but at least there is still tons of books to read and new ones like Rock's and Hoid's. Plus once I finish everything I can reread it before 2031!
My vote would be Mistborn era 2 followed by Secret History. I think it ties in well with the Ghostbloods and you can reread some conversations with them in a different light afterwards. Also have we read Sunlit Man on the channel yet? I don't remember and I don't want to click away to check lol.
@@imtalkingwaffles I think that one will be emotional in particular for you. I like it for the wider Cosmere implications but there may be some surprises if you're not read up on where Scadrial is at currently (from the fact they have cell cultures and broadsheets in Hoid's epilogue in WaT, it's probably a safe assumption to note they've advanced a bit past axes and crossbows).
I just found your channel! I like the vibe here and the theories. I dont6ship Kaladin and Syl.... But I guess I don't hate it. Is there anyone good enough for him anyway?
