SO AMAZING, we been super excited to see how they perform these songs with lots of processing and effects. This one works really well just playing it like this, kinda more straight forward as a rock song then some others from the album. So pretty. Hope to catch them with Panda Bear next year. The gear being stolen was devastating to read, whenever they finally can make it to Portland we're going fucikng crazy
@@puddlesplashers That's fine. No judgement here. Sometimes you just stop following an artists career and that's fine. But I hope it's not because it wasn't cool to like her anymore that's all.
@ no not at all. just went in a different direction that i didn't enjoy as much. although id probably like her most recent album a decent amount if i listened to it more.
So crazy to see Rivka go this far. I used to live in a shitty trap house with her in Deland Fl. Super close friends growing up! I gave her a copy of " Sister " Sonic Youth before she even played a instrument at all. Just blows my mind! Love you Riv!
A very good shoe gazing tune. Reminds me of a fine Perth in Western Australia band called Pond. (yes, I'm an Australian touring band musician too.😉) th-cam.com/video/gS-bqTWOuKI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=v7_Ux7e1uGxr8Tcj
A shapeless melodic structure with no build to it, a good start to a lyric that descends into word salad, an orchestration that becomes aimless noodling and affectless performances with no passion, disconnected with its audience.
They're much more alive in person. Saw them at the start of their latest tour a last month and they blew the roof off! Sadly they had to cancel the remainder of the tour after their van and all of their gear were stolen.
@@FlamboyantJeering thanks for sharing this info of seeing them Live. But really sad about musical stuff got stolen. As a musician, I know how precious are our instruments
So cool seeing this band go from playing in my basement to playing on the Late Show with Colbert
Favorite band in the world. Got to see them in Boston before some POS stole all of their gear
SAME OMG
One of the great modern bands. Next time they're on the road, try to see them; you won't regret it. No one is doing it like SOTB currently.
Truth
I think this is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard in my life
words can't describe how special this band is to me
First time hearing this band. As soon as I heard they were from Philly, their sound totally made sense! Shoegaze roots run deep here.

Philly's finest. Such an important band
Now that Palm is over, it's no longer a tie. The continuing GOATs.
love this band, they were the soundtrack for my first years of fatherhood and the pandemic. excited to see and hear them evolve🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
So sad I didnt get a chance to see them. Glad they played this. It sounds great.
The buzzing acoustic during second intro is the aforementioned Beehive Spirit🐝👻
Phenomenal! SPIRIT is one of the best bands out there today!
Thank you mitski for showing me hypnic jerks five years ago. Love spirit of the beehive.
I see too many people calling this shoegaze when it isn't.
back when it was cool to like mitski 😢
@puddlesplashers I mean if you like mitski go ahead and like mitski. I'm not a fan of mitski but she had some good picks on what's in my bag.
@@Crumbz19 tbh i don't listen to her very much anymore but i was really into her at the time or like right before she did be the cowboy

My favorite song of theirs that I have listened to so many times. This performance gives it new dimension and presence. WOW.
Best song off the new record hands down
my GOATS - i want all the best for them!
A remarkable performance of a beautiful song from an incredible album by my favourite band.
RIP to all of their gear :(
So fucked up
This band and their side project, draag me, are both amazing!

New Slowdive-esque.
I like. Bless their shoes.
They’re just getting started
incredible band 🎸
incredible audio 🔉
incredible visual 🎥
Best song on the newest record and this is the best recording of it live, what a shame nobody watching this probably cared.
Love this band, glad to see them here.
🤞✌️
Beautiful band this is. I really like the musical spirit they transpired in their prestation 👍
I never tought I would see this band on late night tv. great performance.
Film needs a 4K release! (heck i'd settle for a Blu-ray!!!)
my favorite part of this when they and the song is with the drums guitar mix so this is whats up
Yay!
More please
They are too good.
one of the great performances of our time
Oohhhh!!! ❤
the bees?? on colbert???
Reminded me of Samples. Very pretty. 🙏🌷
Love em
Sounds great
got me wondering what a prism/mirror would produce, then they sang the word "mirror." we buzz to the same hive.

Shoegaze...on Stephen Colbert?
More Likes For Stephen Colbert 👍
The first :55 is a rendition of the Chinese classic hit
Tu-Ning
Is this a skiffle band?
I mean it sounds nice but I can only understand like every fourth word.
You gotta really listen, that's kind of the point.
A beehive should be much more harmonious than this.
Fell asleep during the first minute but they have all the cool alternative guitars.

you must have no friends
There’s critcism and there’s cruelty.
@@prcmd then there’s pointless comments such as yours
i like this band but this song is objectively nothing more than a "vibe"
Sounds like some good Beehive lyrics to me!
Not a big fan of bands that look bored while they're playing.
As a musician, sometimes we can get into a bubble while playing. It's maybe just an impression you had, but still, I respect your impression ✌️
yeah, it's an affectation I find pretentious too. Music was great though

Homie never heard of shoegaze lmao
