    The oil service, next time get the 14ml bolts in till they start to get tight (hitting the back yet use fingers and be gentle), then manually pull on the bolts. If you turn them in using the wrench like you did you run the risk of damaging the threads behind for the original bolts over time. Also your o-rings need grease applying before it goes back in (SHELL Retinax HD2). If you would like the 1199/1299 wprkshop manuals, which are very close to the V2, then please shout as I am happy to share them.

      @LemonDuc ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep I did this to my V2!, luckily the factory bolts re threaded.... I'll try the pulling method next time. Threads lasted 3 changes with that method at least.

    Hi Bill, just a few points for further discussion:1.) oil change new motorcycle before 1000 km (600+ miles) 2.) warranty. To my point of view, oil change before 1000km is not really necessary with the very high oil quality (100% synthetic) these days and these little tinny metal parts, well the magnetic oil plug does the job. My second point is even more important. In theory changing oil + filter yourself can lead to loosing your warranty of the new bike and that is very tricky as you can imagine. For example: shortly after oil change there is a gearbox problem, what will happen when the dealer finds out the oil & filter has been changed!? Kind regards from Moscow.

    Question - you said you use 300V for all bikes that go on the track. 7100 is supposed to be used for systems with Catalytic Converters. What is your take on this? I use 7100 because I don’t have an aftermarket full system (yet). EDIT: I re-read Motul’s website product info and then7100 is for JASO MA2, which is what my BMW requires.
