Judy you answered your questions so greatly because the waltons are a real family. its nice all of you got along as brothers and sisters. i wish more familys were like the waltons. you can see the love you all had for each other. ❤
craig thank you for a great interview with judy Norton of the waltons. i enjoyed every minute of listening to both of you talk about the waltons, the cast members and her life now. ❤
Judy Norton is a gifted actress. She really gets into her part. When they did the cast for the Waltons Judy Norton was definitely the right choice to play Marryellen. She nailed the part and continued to play her part over the years excellent. She amazes people today. She is a very gifted wonderful person. I've been watching the Waltons since it first aired and still today. I'm 59 and still watch everyday. I would like to see Judy on Hallmark and Family channel .They would be lucky to have her. She would be a great addition.. Gina Hoffman
I like this. Very nice of Judy to do this interview. Fantastic interviewer too 😊. I started watching to see if Michael Learned would eat in the show, kind of like looking for Alfred Hitchcock to appear in his movies 😃. Im really glad you do these interviews.
Fantastic interview, as always. Judy exceptionally classy and Craig Bennett the interviewer the usual masterclass in how it’s done. Great questions and he listens!👍👍
I wish that Families would get back to the basics like the Waltons. The togetherness of the families and the love. Communities helped each other. There was integrity, morals, values.
I'm enjoying your interview with Judy Norton very much. I like how you took the interview by asking her thoughts on each of her co-stars. I've been watching Judy's You Tube channel for some time now. When Judy responded to a comment I made on one of her behind the scenes episodes I was a little shocked, and flattered that she did that. It was (for a lack of better words) a good ploy. It's why I've subscribed to her channel and have been watching her videos for well over a year now. I'm a struggling actor and writer. Like Judy I use CD Baby. I was pleasantly shocked at her response when I asked her about the distributor. Thanks for the video. I'll be watching more.
Great interview. Craig I just love your interview style. You are such a great listener and know your subjects. What a joy to watch a good interview that is respectful and informative. 👍🏼❤👍🏼
Judy is the reason i started watching the Waltons.I had a huge crush on her and now i love her podcast behind the scenes of the Waltons. She is a great interviewer.😊
One of the best Judy interviews I have ever seen! Superb!! I really like her. I watch her every week twice a week on her TH-cam show, “Behind the Scenes “. Her candidness and sincerity is refreshing coming from an actress’s point of view. She is so kind and genuine! Thanks for posting this.
I watch Judy’s episodes on TH-cam about the show and I love it. She’s so pleasant and happily answers our questions. She always responds to any comment I make. It’s like being on the inside of the The Waltons Show and she’s done that for us. It’s like getting to know the entire cast on a personal level. Mary Ellen is such a tomboy and I loved her. Judy is so pleasant and elegant..it’s a great treat getting to know her via TH-cam. There will never be a show with such an enormous impact as The Waltons. ❤️
Thank you for the wonderful interview with Judy. She's awesome, and her new Christmas CD is great. I got it for my 12 year old, and she loved it. Judy was kind enough to personally autograph it to her.
Thank you for being the person you are. The 60's were turbulent, but you added a fun part to this decade. You overcame addiction. You've kept your wits about you. Keep busy and am looking forward to hearing good things from you!
Judy looks great! Almost like she hasn’t aged at all. She played the role of Mary Ellen so well. I am 61 today and grew up watching The Waltons every Thursday night back in the 1970’s. And believe it or not, still watch the show today pretty regularly. Though 3 or so of the kids were older than I, I think because I could identify with most of them. I enjoyed the show very much. Today, whenever I watch the show, it takes me back to a place of great comfort. The show was real. I favorite cast members were Jonn Boy, Mary Ellen ,Jim Bob (loved his aviator cap) and the other kids were great as well. As for the adults, loved John,Sr. and Olivia ( great parents) and of course Grandpa and Grandma Walton. And let’s not forget the Baldwin sisters and Mr. Godsey and Gertie ( she was full of spunk and a great mother to her son). All said, a great show and a TV Classic.
Very REFRESHING to see someone who has remained genuine and GROUNDED despite fame. I was impressed with Judy in this interview. She comes across as thoughtful, intelligent, and down-to-earth. The kind of person I would want to be friends with.
Thank you again for the great comment Darmon. Craig and I love being able to bring these interviews to those like yourself. Glad you enjoy them. Kelley
I never looked at any of the actors as more or less famous than the other àctors. All great in anything which required emotional changes in acting styles. I can't imagine anyone else replacing one of them!
Great interview! I am subscribed to her channel and watch her interview others all the time and this was so refreshing! I Love The Waltons and I Love her!
As always what a great conversation (interview), I loved it! I have been watching Judy at least twice a week on her fantastic TH-cam channel, Behind The Scenes of The Walton's, with Judy Norton. I hope your watchers will go check her channel out, if you are a true Walton's fan I promise you will love it! Thank you, Craig, your so kind & such a gentleman, I'm sure your guests appreciate it dearly! Don't forget to check out Judy's TH-cam channel!!! Behind the Scenes of the Walton's... you'll love it!!! 🌼
Anyone with an interest in The Waltons should check out Judy's TH-cam channel. She interviews actors who appeared on the show, answers viewers' questions and does a behind-the scenes discussion of individual episodes.
Yep! Will Geer, every time he was in the scene, he could be felt, and strongly!! It was like he had extra personality. It just soaked everything and everyone into its presence.
A remake of the original Walton's series would be a disaster. Fans of the Walton's would never watch it, and younger people today would not be able to relate to the show. I am glad I grew up watching such a wholesome show, and can still watch old episodes today. #priceless
I loved the Walton’s, like I told you before my husband and I still watch the show Monday through Friday, we’ve seen every show over and over, my favorite characters were you(Mary Ellen) and ur mom. Everyone was good but I loved you and ur mom, she was such an old fashion sweet mom. I hated it when she was suppose to have gotten sick and she was off the show for awhile. Judy do you have any kids of ur own and what state do you live in? You are such a down to earth lady and if u are a mom, I bet u are a great one. Ur show u do now is so interesting, im so happy u do this and i hope u will continue doing this for a while, im so happy when i see ur on, i try not to miss any of them. U explain everything so good. U must have found the fountain of youth cuz u look great for ur age. Thanks for these shows that u do now. Keep em coming please. Thank you Craig, such a wonderful interview with you and Judy, u made it so interesting. Lord Bless you both. ❤❤
My mom said I was her “Mary Ellen”, which didn’t bother me at all. I saw her as brave, bold, responsible, and willing to sacrifice for her family and friends. That’s still who I am, and a bit of a tomboy too. I’m just a few years older, but my dream was to live on Walton’s Mountain, and where I ended up in NC is pretty close to that sense of community and rural feel. Thanks for your portrayal of Mary Ellen.
Judy, you were (and are) absolutely adorable while looking beautitful and mature for your age. Plus you already have that famous Mary Elllen expression on your face!
Miss Michael Learned is still very much alive and well. It was another actor (male) with a similar name. I saw Miss Michael Learned interviewed on this TH-cam channel. She is such a class act.
And BRAVO on a fascinating interview. I always learn something new when I come to your site. I feel awful, but what is the name of your superb interviewer? He asks wonderful questions. I also wanted to say, Judy, that every time you answer a question you've probably heard many times, it seems fresh and you bring it into the future and add a new perspective.
Hi Jean and thank you for your comment. Craig does the interviews and I (Kelley) produce and edit. We love hearing that viewers like yourself like our channel. Best wishes for 2025!
My name is Timothy Baker fantastic. A grid watching that show. I like the family but they were going to dinner with. Arlington a lot as a young man back in the early 70s, even though the show was taking place in the 40s. Being a young black man like I am. He told me some things about value. Not about color just about family Valu. Es and learning and Judy North did a good job. I had a crush on her when I was growing up.
Hollywood in general treats actors bad, fans would have not liked any character of the Walton's being changed. It was about the entire family and not just the adults. Hollywood does that to the actors, and the media does hit jobs on them, Fans never do that. What is wrong with actors is they get famous and think they are good on any show, so they leave the Walton's can never get the same success. They are forever known by the BIG hit show that made them a super star, that they resented and tried to leave. They hate to be the nice, good image and often run out to do scary and other bad person type shows to shake their clean image. There are famous actors who would have loved to be known as a super star like the Walton's actors are known by. Only a few people get this type of success. Many people have one show that gave them fame and success, when they acted in 50 or more. . I loved seeing her smiling face, she had a real stroke and she was nice after she did on the show. The brand new re-make Walton's show is not good at all. I could not even watch it past the intro. The Walton re-union shows are good but people have to know about them, today, no one watched the 3 networks, they tune into Netflix, etc. Netflix would probably do a re-union show. But they messed up the character's lives; Curt ran off and abandoned his family; they had Erin divorced; so they destroyed the units people watched on the show. They need to make it fun with hardly any real problems, make it a fun re-union to see and enjoy. No one wants to see people's lives suck, as their own life is sucking. we watch movies to feel that fun, happy, family we love. and NO Richard Thomas, not to see how fat you are. We want to see how life treated you. .
I never had a family like the waltons so watching it gave me some such good feelings i really had a hard life so it gave me some sort of what family was really like so ty so much xoxo i hope to co😂me visiit yalll sometime with my husband.ty and love yall 14:0814:08

So.do I, but fhe Waltons were impossibly schmaltz-y. No family could match up to them in any era.
I loved Judy, as Mary Ellen with all that Tom Boy spunk.

Great interview. The Waltons on the 80’s would be like Downton Abbey in the 50’s. It’s best to know when to stop.
