I subbed after seeing how much respect is given to these wonderful animals. Was getting so weary of seeing them prodded or otherwise intentionally stressed, just to increase visibility, in videos made by some of the other Tarantula husbandry channels.

Don't know if it true or nor but formosa venom supposed to be the most medically significant of all the pokies, sure I read it somewhere back in the mist of time,lol. Well from my research apparently its poecilotheria metallica that is the most potent, then again I don't fancy getting a bite from any pokie to compare 🤣 my trixopelma ockati was one bite too many for me. But poecilotheria are beautiful and definitely a joy to have in the collection, do you plan on getting any more?
Think you right mate, it was something I read about 20 odd years ago when metallica was only just appearing. Yeah, wouldn't want a bite from tarantula as the actual physical damage woukd be enough wuthout the venom.
Just read the endcof your message,lol. I have a formosa, metallica , subfusca lowland, regalus and ornata at the minute, but all just large slings at the minute.

I got a view of the vent and it does look female from what I could see. I also have a female juvie Formosa and I absolutely love her. I need to start recording my rehouses
Yeah I'm 99% sure it's a girl too, I just need the molt to tip it that 1% lol you SHOULD film your rehouses, even if it's not for youtube then you can look back on it learn, an improve. I do it myself
@@robbiestalkingts I’m fairly good at rehousing lol I watch a lot of Tom Moran. They are almost always so fast and smooth there ends up being not enough footage for a video anyway.
