Marco/Mario was my first gay guy crush back in the day when I watched these first run in college. Good looking with a kind hearted bad boy streak. Those were the days. 😍
if i remember correctly, clint had been long estranged from the rest of the Buchanans, so it's likely he had moved to arizona while the rest of them were in texas. When clint is reuinited with Asa when Asa comes to llanview, they haven't seen each other in years
Day-um! Clint was one smokin' hot cowboy! And is that Linda Dano from Another World? I know that Robin Strasser (Dorian) and Jackie Courtney (Pat) had been two sides of a massively popular love triangle story on AW about 10 years before this. It seems obvious that the OLTL writers had planned to create a similar storyline between Dorian, Pat & Clint. I guess they realized that Clint was a more interesting foil for Viki sometime after this episode.

I just recently read some info I never knew. Bo Buchanan was originally brought on to be vikis love interest ( wow that would have been crazy looking at how things went instead ) but erika was pregnant & on maternity leave so they quickly paired pat up w/ bo. People were surprised how fast they fizzled b/c they had just sent bo & pat on location to Paris. I also read ( purely a rumour ) that the actress playing pat was having an affair with than joe stewart ( he was either producer or head writer of oltl then ) & she was pushing to replace viki as the new lead. No telling if it was true. I also read that all the actresses were smitten w/ bob woods when he first arrived ( bo def was a cutie ) & all begged to be his love interest. Look it's mrs Walsh from 90210. So weird to see Dorian living at llainfair & owning the banner. I get it's terrible to switch babies but I can see Karen's motives are a lot better when oltl did this 10 years later w/ gabrielle where brenda was crushed & wanted her baby very much while karen figured Katrina was giving her baby up for adoption anyway. It's not right at all but she did it b/c she loved her sister.
I think you have it slightly wrong about actress Jacqueline Courtney who played Pat. Prior to being on OLTL, she had been on Another World, where she definitely was having an affair with the (married) producer. The story I read was that the affair came to light when Courtney did a photo shoot for a soap opera magazine ("See how the STARS live!" or some such.) One of the photos was Courtney showing off her bedroom, and she absent-mindedly left a framed photo the producer by her bedside. One of the photos that got published in the magazine showed the framed photo, and when fans and other AW cast members (not to mention the producer's wife) saw it, the s*** hit the fan. Both the producer and Courtney were fired from AW soon after that.
Bo and Vicki would have been just as bad a match as Vicki and Clint. Horrible chemistry. And not long before this Bo-Robert Woods was the love interest of Mary Ellen Walton on The Waltons.
It was the 1970s. And I am sure babies got switched up before in history. Unintentionally but who knows!? Things were so unsophisticated in the last centuries
So only Karen knew that Dr. Corelli was really Marco at this point in the story? I read Marco was impersonating his brother? I was young and didn’t start cutting school/staying home sick until 6th grade/1982 to watch Ryan’s Hope, AMC, OLTL, GH, Edge of Night. Ha P S love Judith Light but her hair was always a mess as Karen.
Karen's entire life was a mess from the moment she first stepped on screen LOL. Doesn't surprise me that hair stylists for the show followed that. Who has time for hair care when you are switching babies etc?
Lol i just watched Karen’s campy courtroom meltdown scene which is what everyone remembers, but i think Judith’s acting is a lot better in this baby switching scene, by far.

The actor playing Pat was wooden and had no charisma. At least from the few scenes I've watched on YT.
