    Thank you Handy Hudsonite you helped me figure out what my issue on my bluetooth gaming on pc using a BT receiver is and now after going back and reviewing the specs on the PC BT being 5.3 and the receiver being BT 5.1 now I see why there is latency! Now when I use that small bose BT speaker something higher quality there is no latency.

    Tried many BT transmitters, even went into $100 ranges - none are worth it and the delays are easily noticed. I wanted to see if any of these even came close to Sienheisser RF wireless headphones that I had, unfortunately, none did. I ended up buying another set of the good old Seinheisser RF headphones.

    What a long-winded discourse without any specific advice. I think Handy Hudsonite is somewhat offbase in his concentration on "upgrade your device". In fact, I'm pretty sure that my Bluetooth audio problems are directly related to Windows 10 and not my hardware. My hardware is a hackintosh, it dual-boots macOS 10.15.7 Catalina and Windows 10 Pro 20H2 on exactly the same hardware:
    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B365M-DS3H
    CPU: Core i7-9700K
    RAM: 32 GB
    Video: AMD Radeon RX-570
    There's no Bluetooth capability native to the MB, so I'm using an IOGear BT 4.0 USB dongle. This device is intended for Windows and Linux only. IOGear officially does not support Apple devices or macOS. Yet, my BT speaker pairs and works perfectly when running the machine under Catalina. However, when running under Windows 10 the audio sucks (pardon my French) -- it lags, staggers, and sputters -- totally unusable. Microsoft has dropped the ball when it comes to BT -- badly. In fact, it seems to be basic incompetence on Microsoft's part. If Apple's operating system (and every Linux I've used) can handle the simplest Bluetooth technology, i.e. one-way data transfer, perfectly on hardware Apple does even support, then it stands to reason that Windows 10, an OS that's purported to be virtually universal is at fault.

    • @nomaschalupas2453
      @nomaschalupas2453 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, windows have so many builds and customizable. You have to make sure your pc is compatible if not you do have to upgrade at the least the Bluetooth hardware in the pc.
      If you only buy what stores have on shelf and not build ur own. It’s ur own fault for not making sure you buy the product that fits ur needs because windows pcs are not all thousands of dollars and only sell products that can not be customized besides the color and memory.
      They are the software and what your problem is most likely hardware. You can’t upgrade last gen hardware with current gen software and updates.

    TH-cam on Android has been really bad the last six months or so for apparent latency. I don't think it is latency, I think it's the app on Bluetooth.
    I can watch other video apps and have no issues (downloaded or streaming)... But it's the. TH-cam app
    itself, it just always gives a quick stutter and goes out if syncs but about half a second.

    Strange that my chinese earbuds never had noticeable lag that my Monster 300's do.

    My headphone and iPad audio sync perfectly usually. Sometimes it’s like a second or two out of whack, though. After much frustration and experimentation, I solved it-in my own case, anyway: simply turning off the power on headphones, and then turning it back on and reconnecting did the trick.

The stuttering is still there, but not as bad as when I connect the pc to 2.4Ghz. • @HandyHudsonite
      @HandyHudsonite  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your question. It seems others have had Bluetooth issues with the A51. Do you have the latest Android OS installed? It's hard to know if you're experiencing OS issues or with the actual BT hardware in the phone itself. Have you tried connecting your AirPods to another device to see if you experience the lag? AirPods are very good with low-latency so I doubt they're the issue.

    • @HandyHudsonite
      @HandyHudsonite  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It could be issues with the BT hardware then. Every device can vary in the way it handles BT and the codecs it supports. I have knockoff over-the-ear headphones that used to lag really bad when connected to my iPhone, but since the last Apple iOS update they've been working perfectly with almost no noticeable lag between video and audio. I don't know if Apple updated some codec in the the release or what. It's possible you may experience the same thing with a particular future Android OS update/fix. Bluetooth is super convenient, but very frustrating as many of the issues are not necessarily fixable by us but depend upon codecs, hardware, etc.

    My truck that I bought brand new in 2016 has always had a lag issue. I’m not the type that needs to have the newest iPhone so I generally am 1 iPhone behind the latest. I currently have an iPhone 11. Back in 2016 I can’t remember what iPhone I had but as I said it was very close to the latest. How do you square that? There’s no way it could be an issue with old/new tech. The lag is about 1 second or 1 1/2 seconds behind I’m not sure if that info will help or not 🤷🏾‍♂️

    My headphones have Bluetooth 5.0. My laptop has Bluetooth 5.0. My phone has Bluetooth 5.2. There may be different dependencies other than just Bluetooth version, but, there is an audio lag when listening and watching a video on the laptop while there is no lag watching on the phone. I'm looking at the Device Manager of Windows, and the Bluetooth driver of my headphones is dated 2006 - a bit off considering Bluetooth 5 came out 2016. Anyway, neither Windows website nor headphones manufacturer's website got newer driver for download. I guess that's the roadblock.

    I have 1-2 seconds lag with my OnePlus 7 when calling in the car via Bluetooth with Kenwood KDC-BT500U autoradio. When listening to music there is no problem and no lag, everything perfect. Any idea?

    The one problem is lip sync between the TV audio, with a BT transmitter, and BT sound bar. ??

    I have 0,5 sec delay with my Minipod speakers (bt4.0, aptx, tws) when connected to a windows pc. I have wasted days, but it wont work in stereo - only mono. On my Android 10 phone (or iphone) they work in stereo without delay. :s Confusing! (If I hook it up via toslink optical or aux - the delay is the same)
    Here is a tip for android or ios users: make sure to turn off every other BT device in range (bt mouse, bt dongle on pc etc..) so you only have eg. your earbuds and phone turned on.
    If you have multiple BT devices running they can interfere and also cause a delay. This was in my case at least.
    It did not solve the delay on pc though, so if you have any ideas please share. (tried cmr 4.0, creative bt 4.2 and omnitronic transciever bt5.0)
    Also searching for a new TV hoping that it will connect via bluetooth without this nightmare, but I fear it will be the same. Anyone having experience with bt stereo speakers connecting to LG or Samsung TV-s? Or any major brand?

    I have a jbl xtreme 2 brand new. Used it for one week and the Bluetooth started to lag really bad every 10-15 seconds. I’ve reset the jbl, keep the devices (phones) next to the speaker, update the firmware, used multiple other devices, charged to speaker to full charge, and nothing works. It’s definitely the Bluetooth because the AUX port works fine. How can I fix this

    So what you are saying is that you just have to solve the problem in order to get the problem solved. The best latency killer is a Bluetooth thing called aptX. All Bluetooth devices that I have with aptX have latency that isn't noticeable. You used an expression that I don't like which is "little or no latency" because there is no such thing as no latency. There is ALWAYS some latency. The best you can hope for is latency that is not noticeable. Sorry to nit pick but it's good to understand the thing that you are trying to deal with. Sound Latency is the amount of time it takes for the sound to travel from source to destination and is usually measured in milliseconds, which is thousandths of a second. So far we haven't figured how to make that instantaneous. There is always some delay, may it be so small that our brain can not sense it. Thanks for the video. Have fun.

    Does anyone know how to rectify this problem I'm having with Sky Glass? What's happening is I have noticed a audio lag, it's a 43" Sky Glass tv set up with voice control and Bluetooth remote. I have noticed when I am playing a film it seems to be out of sync with the lip movement to audio, it seems to be only on certain films that is unless I just have not noticed it before. My girlfriend noticed it and since then it's been happening a lot. Has anyone had and fixed the problem before? And if so could anyone point me in the right direction so I can rectify the problem? Thanks.
