    I’ve got a 2013 taotao 50 stunt scooter that has been fully built with all Glixal parts aswell, just got it all built the other day; doing some fine tuning to get her right now, it was a free barn find trashed scoot when I got it lol

    If you have taller gears you need to retune the cvt for more rpm. Rev higher, lighter rollers to fill out that bottom end and raise rpms. Most big bore qmbs like 8-9k rpms. Wouldnt push over 9 on a stock crank with a cheap kit. Just feel it out, somewhere around 8000 from what ive heard other tuners say 🔥

    Absolutely love the genuine trial and error of this series, I've had a tao tao 50cc for a few years now and I honestly love tuning and learning something new each time, love the videos guys seriously keep it up can't wait to see what you guys do with this !

      Absolutely! thank you guys for all the time and knowledge you're spreading out ! I've went the same route with the Amazon build and haven't had any major headaches at all, honestly love this little scooter and the amount of modifications you can do is so endless even on the suspension!

    I did the same thing. 50cc just doesn’t have the grunt. That Glixal variator kit did more for my top end. I’m running 130/90-10 tires off a Zuma, though for more circumference, and they are way heavier. I like how it rides a lot better now, but when the big bore is on, cam is in, 20mm carb is tuned, CDI is red, exhaust is bigger, and you know your variator has enough ramp to push the belt higher, 8k is peak torque. It will haul down hills with plenty of room on the tach. It just needs more power.
    Maybe higher compression from a domed Airsal piston? Maybe the big valve cylinder head? Maybe a port and polish? That’s where I’m at. Everything else is tuned as far as I can tell.

    Had a 50cc Taotao thunder. Put the actual big bore kit with exhaust carb cdi clutch variator and weights ect. After putting the actual kit in then play with the variator weights. Mine went 60mph 50mph up hill.

    So, I haven't done it yet but I've heard from others that you do need heavier weights for the taller gears. I believe in you guys though! you can do it! You can just tell it *wants* to go faster.

      @@fthrgasp Heavier weights drops the rpm’s. With the harder gears, the engine will never reach its max power.

      It's slipping lighter makes it slip think people think that's the problem put heavier will lock up the clutch and pull it on top speed it just won't Rev as high taking off u won't top speed put heavier to lock up clutch at high rpms !!

    if your not hearing your tappets reaching their top speed then you dont need the gear up kit its made for those that reach the highest rpms cause it lowers the final drives rpm so say if im doing 40 at 10k it would be 8k at 55 with the highest gear up but if you add upgrades that help it reach its top rpms constantly real snappy it will work great i tune for perfection

    Did you make sure you're CDI (or in case of injection: computer) isnt locked at 45?

    Try to put 5.5g roller weight's an put blue springs this is common cvt tune for 50cc scooter

    You have to put Blue Spring at the CVT and you'll see the difference. You'll see the change when you rev the engine to 6/7000^^^ RPM.
    The Old spring is just to weak for this gear and the CVT engages to soon (on lower RPM/higer gear like).
    CHANGE THE SPRING!!!

    If your weight is 160lbs or more you need to go lighter on the roller weight like 5 or 6 grams so the clutch comes in later. But honestly it's up to you to change and test. Bet thing to do is get o e of those malossi box kits with different weights.

    Lighter rollers. Engine will have more power with more revs and the actual variator will be spinning faster when the variator belt reaches its limit, so more speed there with more revs. Get it between 8000-9000rpm it can take it. And if you dont allready have one, install large valve 50mm head on with that 50mm bore

    Go up with the main jet if it's got like a 80 85 in it put a 95 or 100 main jet in it that will make a difference cuz it sounds like you got a kind of an open pipe on it and NGK plug try that you should get a couple mile an hour out of it don't expect too much with 80cc

    honestly I got a bintelli sprint, but it's only 2 types of gy6 motor a or b the short case can be bored less but handle more torque long case can be bored larger and restroked to handle torque, as far a 50cc with big bore upgrade, you probably need to tune your head there's little pins that control the gas to air mixture in the head two sets on both sides need a filla gauge to set it correctly, as well re jetting your stock carb will help or upgrade to a butterfly preferably fuel injection, with that being said quick fix is tune your mix pin and go lighter weights. gear up is pointless without a good tune.

      How fast can you get your sprint to? I put an 80cc big bore kit, exhaust, pwk 21mm carb, variator, cdi and I'm only getting 40mph out of it

    What RPM did you hit with the stock gears at top speed?

      about 74-7500 RPM at top speed

      @@throttle_therapy Okay. This is due to your CVT maxing it’s available range. The higher top speed gears need lighter rollers/sliders. I strongly recommend 3 gram Dr pulley sliders, NCY 89mm variator or other 89mm variator, glixal reinforced/Kevlar/aramid belt, red contra spring, and red clutch springs.

    I had a VIP same bike I had a VIP same bike that you got for the VIP get the three hits foxglove they got it online bike to make your bike go faster get the three has spark plugs and get a performance racing muffler. They got that on eBay or Amazon and you’re going to see the different house the bike goes faster. Can you change out the stuff?

    Crazy I guess there’s no replacement for displacement. I bought a 100$ Gy6 150cc and after some tuning and modifying I got it running and we hit 60 with more to go cuz too much traffic. lmao sorry guys

    U need lighter weights.all I did to my tao tao was put 4 gram rollers and I got 45 on flat no aftermarket clutch or bbk

    The clutch is slipping at high rpms it sounds like the motor is reved up just like its supposed to be its just not going faster if u have a heat gun temp reader the point and click kind run it wide open for 1/4 mile get the slipping part hot point your heat gun at the clutch cvt set up and see whats the hottest part its slipping its ass off if u put heavier wts in it will stop slipping and lock up u should Hear it and Feel it yours sounded the same from start to as fast as it would go meaning its slipping stop worrying about taking off so fast with high revs and make the clutch lock up and then rev it out it will be faster on top speed then video again to show the you tube people how to go faster with gears !!! I like the sound of the scooter sounds great ive got a 80 cc kit on mine but i have 13 inch rims ive got a parts 1 that has 10 inch rims im going to see if i can swap the gears in it and get top speed this afternoon ive got a water pump job to finish up on a v8 Lexus before i can play with the scooter got to make money first !!

      And that’s what I will just keep doing if I still have my fourth stroke because I’m thinking about selling it for a two-stroke because it’s way faster than a four and most likely you can ride it on highways and actually Don’t have to buy a 150 or a 250 because the bikes go so fast because of the rev in the power band That two strokes have compared to four stroke counterpart I just wish when I was younger I came across a cheap two-stroke man I spent so much money on my four stroke I don’t regret it like I said but if I had a cheap Japanese two-stroke that nobody wanted anymore if I spent the amount of money I spent on a Japanese bike I would already be done with it just because it’s so not a lot of work you have to do to the engine because the engine placement is smaller and on top of that it’s a Japanese bike so everything in the bike is high-quality compared to OEM and some aftermarket Chinese parts I fucked up real bad but like I said I don’t regret it you live in you learn smh😮‍💨🙄🤦🏾

      And I put a better performance spark plug and a better performance plug in the bike as well the spark plug is made in America I spent like 40 on that one not the cheap Chinese spark plug and I put a better spar coil that is from Japan in my bike I believe the main reason why his bike isn’t going as fast is because he has that cheap Chinese stuff in the bike and he didn’t do as much modification as I did hell The last time I was on my bike my bike was flying accelerated so fast After I’m done with the last bit of modifications I’m pretty sure I can hear about 90 on my bike almost 100

    Well what I could see .. you was at 7.2k rpm and you peak at 9k… so you aren’t reaching your top speed. So lighter weights would help

    So I have never done a big bore kit, but in my past 2 hours researching after I saw these kits are $30, I’m obviously an expert. Some people were saying to play with the valve specs and try like .02 and .03 versus spec I think is .04 and .05? Not sure what you guys are running for lash

      If you buy the kit with carb cdi vairator and weights and exhaust. It comes with every plug wires jets ect. Buy the full kit then you can play with other things.
