    At the end of the IOC Course Lock video, I could not hear if the S2 switch is suppose to remain in the CL position OR be put back into top "off" position??? Can anyone clarify? ( thanks, great video Tom )

    Hi Tom,
    Pretty awesome video! I fancy my own video training skills but I'm learning from your style! I really like, you end segments made me laugh.
    Now to the question, if I were to turn on IOC mode and then create a map with waypoints, could I fly it in "free" mode controlling the direction of the camera while the drone flys the to each waypoint?
    Also, do you have a video on creating waypoints and does the drone fly plus or minus 5 feet in between points or can it get blown off course pretty easily?
    Thanks again - I subscribed to your channel - its pretty awesome!

    Tom - Your video's are very informative and well done. There does not seem to be a video on the Phantom 3 Course Lock Demo. but I have found the Course Lock in the Phantom 3 Prof. and You most likely have come across it also .. but if not _---->
    Go to MC Setting - Advanced Setting - turn IOC - ON
    Set the Drone in the direction you want the Course Lock - then select

    Tom - Your video are very informative and I am surprised that there has not been a video on the Phantom 3 Prof. Course Lock. I am sure that you have figured it out - but if not --->>> MC Settings ----> Advanced Settings --> Turn IOC ON
    Set Course with Flight Mode switch selected to F mode to set the course - back to P Mode for flight. When switched to F Mode while flying - it is in Course Lock just like the Phantom 2 .. works great ..>!!
    Thanks

    I know it's been 8 years, but I just got both of my DJI Phantom 2's up and running again. I had given up hope of them. It helps that many satellites have been launched in the last few years.

    Play video Tom thank you so much for the information but my question is if I put my Phantom 2 Vision Plus into Naza M mode I know I can't all go between course lock and home lock but can I also toggle it back into just regular Phantom mode or do I have to go into the assistant app to change it back

    One thing is that a cross wind will effect the flight path with course lock. The a/c will drift off the set course. At least ways, it does on my P3a. Great vid Tom. Thanks

    Love how smooth the yaw control is Tom. Any tips? It is a slow flight which you've sped up or just lots of practice or?

    • @TomsTechTime
      @TomsTechTime  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ShawUK Well, I think if you practice a few times you'll be able to achieve the same results easily. It's not that hard to do if you're staying focused and now your gear! After 5 CL flights you should be good to go already! :)

    Tom's Tech Time, You always make great videos. Was the test footage at ~2:00 done with a Phantom 2 Vision+? The camera quality of your footage looks too good, like maybe it was a regular P2 with a GoPro. I think my P2V+ camera would have aliasing all over the bricks on that castillo. Thanks.

    • @TomsTechTime
      @TomsTechTime  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha, being honest I must say that you are right... I used a GoPro 4 Black on the testfootage, not the P2V+... :)

    The best CL explanation. I have a question, i see you have binding secured the gimbal head. Its necessary? Sorry for my english.

    • @TomsTechTime
      @TomsTechTime  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nikolas Salcianu Hey there, I wouldn't say they're necessary, but my older Zenmuse H3-2D almost fell off once and since that day I put on two cableties / cablebinders, just to make sure... It's not essential, but gives me a better and safer feeling! Greetings and sorry for my english as well, haha! We're both not native so we don't have to be ashamed! ;)

    Hi I've just watched you video, I've got a phantom1 v1.1.1 and all I've done is to activate the IOC in the DJI assistant and my HL & CL works without having to click the left lever 5 times, why is this?

    • @TomsTechTime
      @TomsTechTime  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      teccer1234 Hey there, you have to click it 5 times for setting a new cl / hl in air! for setting a basic cl on the ground you only need to flip it down once! greets from good ole europe!

      +Tom's Tech Time I saw you've secured the gamble using cable ties. It seems reasonable maybe, but please let us know the exact reason th-cam.com/video/V1jqyfrUqqA/w-d-xo.html
      Edit: Lol, I've just saw your replay to the bottom. Thanks for your video tut!

    • @TomsTechTime
      @TomsTechTime  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey ***** , I've installed two cable binders to the gimbal for security reason. Sometimes the plastic screw-bracket-things fall apart. Not just that they want a huge amount of money for replacing those, but if you lose them in flight the gimbal might fall off and could be held by a few cables only. A cablebinder is cheap, leightweight and definitely won't fall off! Stay tuned and fly safe!
