But I hope you did the same with the Orc beginner guide since I also main Orc and I'm still a warcraft noob and have too low warcraft IQ to know which units counter enemy armies
No idea how that's confusing, this is intermediate beginner. - Beginner stuff is building, lealrning to know all races buildings etc... - Intermediate beginner stuff would be different tactics for your race. - Medium guides are like focus on unit control groups - Intermediate Medium is learning which control groups should focus which units, aka piercing>siege - Hard guides are stuff like learning creep routes of every race on every map aswel as which mobs drop items - Intermediate Hard is stuff predicting your enemy's locations at most, if not at all times , mapcontrol, learning to control everything at once. This above list is just my take or how i see everything about the game, and i mastered all of it. But whatever Grubbs has his way of doing this and there can't be many people better than him... IF there even are.

The understated meaning of the comment is that it's pointing out the humour in the irony of the isolated statement, especially if you were talking to a REAL beginner who wouldn't know the difference. The way to say it that wouldn't cause confusion is if he clarified that it's an intermediate technique *for* beginners. Grubby is using an incomplete statement that could *theoretically* cause confusion to his desired target audience and it's funny because of that. Part of what I do is teach for a living, and you wouldn't believe how many misconceptions there are or how easy it is to confuse a true beginner sometimes. It's also just a poke at how funny it sounds given that it comes almost at the very beginning of the video.

(: I don't mean hotkeys i already know all that too, and i have my own way of controlling units and microing, but i feel like knowing or seeing how other players do it can give an insane insight in what other people tend to strive for within combat. Hello Grubby, did you consider making a tutorial in a way that u play a match first, and then put a commentary on top of VoD of the match (or replay)? that way you woudn't have to split ur focus between playing and talking. Also it allows you to pause a game in order to explain some topics more in-depth. Moreover you can rewind the game if its ever needed. Just a suggestion :) Thank you for a guide, I learnt a lot from it.
Exactly, I just downloaded the game from my old frozen throne CD-key play my first game as Night elf against easy bot that was randomly undead won some skirmishes but couldn’t finish the game and in the endgame I lost hard
@@Lunatic-Beleren I think it'd be easy if you learn how to use the keyboard hotkeys in order to use Buildings and Units effectively. Also don't let the Enemy AI take too long in the game because that'll make them stronger if they upgrade much faster than you the longer the game continues.

How are Grubby's control groups / keybinds visible? For instance at 3:27 his first control group has 3 characters including Archmage, second control group has 4 militia, etc. I looked through all of the options and I can't find anything to display my control groups. Is that a mod or something? Would appreciate any info you guys have!
grubby, i want to ask you about HOTKEY. do you use default mode or GRID mode? i am currently using a default mode and i am having hard time to control because of distance of the key and often press the wrong key. this makes me wonder if most high level player use GRID or DEFAULT key.. can you make a video share about your HOTKEY usage ?
Great guide, very useful advice, especially the variations at the end depending if you're facing orc all in/ne expo/ud destr etc.. However I do believe this is for high level players. For beginners I would still recommend AM/MK/Rifle/Caster with expansion at 40-50 supply after you have established a bit of map control. P.S. I am still waiting for a 4v4 guide :D
human in particular, they are very slow race. they walk slow, low health, and die easily. alot of lumber needed, attack low damage. especially footmen. they are like few seconds they are dead. Footman really need some tweak improvement. even tier 2,tier 3 upgrade is more wood than any other race. same to upgrades.
i just revisited wc3 since not playing it for 15 or 20 years or whatever. i was never great at the game and certainly not competitive. i would just play the campaigns for these kinds of games, and maybe a few custom games vs the computer before moving on to other games. but recently in life i had arekindling of affinity for rts, and was immediately drawn back to wc3. it was like playing a new game, and i of course immediately started trying to piece to gether the perfect build orders/micro of expansion/tech dev, etc... anyway, it turns out some of my instincts were correct but others are seemingly incorrect in as far as aligning with the 'meta'. so that being said my question is about starting MK. this seemed so strong and obvious to me that now i cant even understand mage 1st. i have been doing mage last because the synergy with mk and pala seems very strong. then mage comes with the mana regen to refill them after spamming abilities to aggressively creep/harass early anyway like i said i would love to hear this explained since i am super casual
Archmage helps you creep early with water elemental then helps with large army battles and base siege switching to blizzard later on, like Grubby showed here. It's so good as a 1st hero that you could use it in any match-up. MK is strong but then your living units have to take hits creeping instead of a summon. Between dealing more damage to creeps and tanking hits with some damage, water elemental is just a better use of 125 Mana, and if you get rushed then you won't need to worry about weakened footman. MK is better once you start needing to deal with more units with clap, which brilliance aura helps go out more often. If you go MK > Paladin then you will have less claps, less creeping mobility, frankly less expansion ability. It might be okay if you know you're going up against night elf or orc and predict worker harass on your main base, so bolt 1st with militia surround could help you force their town portal. But it's conditional. Archmage 1st is always a good choice regardless of conditions.
That said, Paladin 1st vs Undead is also viable because they almost invariably get a DK and having Paladin built is an anti-DK with emergency invincibility. It can also heal your footmen while creeping. But then you're very reliant on either Mana potions or Blood Mage 2nd to transfer Mana to the Paladin. A water elemental for 125 Mana tanks more creep hits than a footman healed twice with lvl 1 holy light for 150 Mana. But a holy light will also heal more than a death coil's damage so it dilutes the value of a DK. Then MK 2nd would turn the tables on an Undead focus fire strategy. So you could practice AM 1st vs human, MK 1st vs orc or NE, and Paladin 1st vs Undead to see how that ggoes. If it's going well then you could try either MK 2nd for locking down units or Blood Mage 2nd as an MP battery for 1st hero and Banish user. Banish can help you secure kills with Bolt, Holy Light, or Blizzard where it wouldn't happen otherwise, or save a unit from getting taken out by a surround.
I have a big problem because I'm french, and France uses AZERTY keyboards, therefore we do not have a " 12345+ " line of keys, but " &é"'"'(- ", so 6 and 8 slows the game down :o I'd have to switch to QWERTY before every time I play, relearn to use my binds visually, and change EVERY SINGLE KEY BIND in the notebook T_T

Grubby you make it look to easy. At least try and look focused when obliterating your opponent to pieces... jeez, btw when did they remove dispelling blight? Was it too good? I was wondering about a strategy where you dispell parts of the base and if it would be viable, but I saw it did not dispell the blight and I have no idea when this changed.
I think dispel on blight still works, but only if the blight isn't being maintained by a building. So, for example, if they use a sacrificial skull and the blight doesn't have a building on it, it should work. I'm not sure it ever worked if there was a finished building there

Try out new meta paladin and u take protection aura at lvl 1 . Most underrated aura in the game. Insanely good at 4v4 teamfights
