@@ThelinOne Yes you are. I am best at playing Pyro and i prefer using stock flamethrower as blower to push bots unless if bots are weak such as Scouts i use primary flamethrower use. As Pyro I use stock flamethrower. My tips for Pyro as i like playing as him but i am kinda average on all classes in MVM. Pyro Tips Time: Flamethrower: is Default and most reliable weapon, i primarily reccomend upgrading airblast and direct damage. Backburner: IS good DPS boost and usually better if you primarily upgrade ammo capacity and airblast power so you can blow bots easier. Simply Backburner once these upgrades are brought is mixed flamethrower with both Support and Attack capabilities. Degreaser: i dont generaly use it but its viable if you tend to use Flare Gun or Scorch shot. Shotguns are less effective. The same upgrade priority from stock applies here. You need to consider that since afterburn does not skyrocket when igniting multiple enemies. So generally dont upgrade Strong afterburn but rather duration So you have more breathing room to use Scorch shots increased knockback or Heavily increased damage from flare gun. But the afterburn upgrades arent reccomended to focus due to diminishing returns when hitting single or stronger robots so i reccomend them only if your confidient that you can get away with IT alive or Heavy IS using Huo Long heater and you already have upgraded direct damage from flamethrower. Phlogistinator: while good on paper IS actually worst flamethrower in practice due to lack of airblast and as Pyro your primary role IS to push carriers into death pit or slow them down in one of the detour to temporarily slow their objective. While yes IT can decimate tanks but filling phlog meter on tanks Applies 2.5x Penalty to fill it. Resulting from usual mvm 1200 damage to 3000. So crit canteens are more reliable and generaly useful as 100$ is not much in long run. Not to mention Heavy can do the task better with decimating swarm of small bots to single giants. Dragons Fury: Has decent DPS but functions poorly due to burst nature of this flame Cannon releasing a fireball that has longer range and deals good damage but even higher on ignited enemies. Also even while tanks are immune to any form to debuff aplication on target, Dragons Fury deals same 4x damage as if it was ignited. The very downsides that pull this weapon out is off course the Pyro Bots register this as reflectale projectile and it can backfire if having damage upgraded but its usually major annoyance. The issue is with Airblast as it takes twice as long to use again so its (no longer possible/more difficult) to airblast enemies farther while airborne because Airborne enemies are more vulnerable to knockback making it difficult to compete with support utilities other flamethrowers except phlog has. I prefer Shotgun most of time when in direct engagement but Flare Gun IS useful to keep track of snipers thanks to its longer range reliability against Sniper Bots. Dont use reserve shooter though as the nerf that airblasted enemies no longer crit made IT weaker besides quicker deploy speed Also dont use detonator as depth perception issues can screw your detonating flares, use Scorch shot instead to stall bots but dont rely solely on the knockback effect. Panic Attack like other uses involving Engineer applies here while it has higher damage and accuracy (not to mention fixed pattern) on close ranges it quickly becomes weaker on farther range because bullets spread farther and while you shoot 15 pellets instead of 10 the pellets deal 20% less damage each. So it has in general amplified stats. Stronger in close range but much weaker in farther ones due to less damaging pellets and bigger spread. Pyros melees like in normal game doesnt have much use offensively as Pyro carries signature flamethrower. So you have either Powerjack or Homewrecker. The former being used to catch up to bomb carrier faster and latter to help engineer while Spy invasion happens as engineer and sentry IS vulnerable. So breaking sappers IS generally useful. Neon Annihilator IS not practical to use as all official mvm maps doesnt feature water so dont use it as it relies on external factors such as Mad Milk or Jarate. Also Gas Passer IS on teams prefference as they may dont mind but its insane DPS can ruin the fun potentially kicking you so use it only if everyone agrees.

Tips for new players, Mann Up (2cities mostly) wise, and from a perspective of a 250 tours: _ *Never play Pyro on first wave, with or without gas* : Your starting money is very low and only allow 1-3 upgrades max. The Gas upgrade cost 400, which is going to be at least half of your money, if not all. And you will be in the middle of a pack of 10 scouts/soldiers who can kill you instantly (since you have no money on resistance), then you won't be alive in time to throw gas on their medics and they can just cap 1st point with ease. This usually going to upset most players and they will leave and the lobby will die. _ *Always communicate and listen to people with experience* : a game can end in 20 minutes or an hour depending on this. Pick the class the team is missing/need, not what you think you're good at, and listen to their strategy. In time you will understand why people do the things they did. And remember you can always rent items that you don't have from the Mann Co store for free for 7 days with no cooldown. *ABUSE THIS* _ *Always be offensive* : the game punish you for playing defensively, this is why you are allowed to spawn-camp the enemy (think of it like this: You don't need heals if enemies are dead as soon as they spawn; except Heavy, he stil need resistance) *ROLES* : *Demo/Pyro* : is always on poping their medic/tank duty. *Heavy* : the tanker; and giant-buster, his close-up DPS are INSANE *Medic* : only use Uber when the demo calls for; and to always crit your demo so he can land stickies before the wave start so you can have crit stickies *AND* another uber ready to go. i feel offended by the scout should collect money and thats all, he is a good support with the fan o war and mad milk, and distracting robots can give your teammates time to shoot the robots

Hitting the bots WILL aggro them to shoot the scout (if they're new I doubt they have resistance upgrades or know how to dodge) and their life will end quick. I don't want to put too much jobs onto the new guy (money, fan, milk to heal or for ubersaw) since he might mess up and fail his initial goal. With good teammates they can cover everything else the scout can do BUT money, so that is his number one goal. Nothing else can compete to it.

A seemingly unique aspect of Bootcamp is that the higher the difficulty, the stupider the teammates. Normal is filled with experienced players dicking around while advanced and expert is filled with fresh installs.
Decoy doesnt have death pits and map IS relatively short which IS good and bad in their respective scenarios. Bigrock IS longest map has also 3 very large slowdown pits. The missions in Bigrock are usually the most difficult as they are lenghty and lots of bots spawn.

I just had my first experience of Mann up and it was quite pleasant. I did join it with 3 other friends though, so it was only 2 randoms that could have potentially ruined the fun. First round when selecting characters 3 people happened to pick engineer at the same time, this quickly turned into a joke as everyone, including the randoms, picked engineer (then someone switched back to scout to pick up money). We failed that round and just all switched to different classes without really saying a word about it, as if everyone silently agreed "haha, it was worth the try, anyways, back to meta". Later in the match, someone in our friend group had to go AFK for a bit, so the 2 randoms just agreed to wait, one of them decided to grab a snack in the meantime, so we tried to push him in a hole while we waited (he came back too early). Great experience, still had room for messing around, but managed to complete the match within a reasonable time.
@@johnpeiredaquavoii2213 In Mann Up mode, each MISSION takes a ticket. Completing a Tour will take multiple tickets. Do note that failing a mission doesn't consume a ticket, only successfully completing a mission does. If you want to help your friend with a Mann Up tour for example, but don't want to buy a bunch of tickets, you could hypothetically buy 1 ticket, join your friend in the mission, help them till right before the end of the mission, and then leave. That way, you don't get any rewards and your ticket isn't consumed, allowing you to use the ticket again for the next mission.

This really depends on the wave. Most of the times soldier plays into a different playstyle. He usually is the one class that reacts to robots, whereas pyro is more of a medic killer in the earlier rounds. Especially with the gas passer taking time to reload in earlier rounds.
We all started at some point :D and hey it is your skill that makes you good at mvm :D even tho having an unusual or nice looking cosmetics does get you envy from your fellow teammates at the winning screen :p

Phlogistinator is widely known as one of, if not the *second best* tank buster in the game, behind Air Strike + B.A.S.E Jumper Soldier and above Cleaner’s Carbine + Bushwacka Sniper without wasting 100 credits for a several thousand damage or having to press Q over and over again checking your CRIKEY every time. Sure Gas is unfun to play and unfun to have when your teammate has one because it will make the other members useless because they just wasted 400 credits for a damn explosive upgrade, but it’s the safest example of “Killing Uber Medics without a Sniper or Demoman” without needing to spam stickies or aiming for heads, it’s the dumbest but fastest option of killing Medic robots. Also Spy is actually a good class to play in MvM. Spy can stun robots so that your team can kill them without dying, and is a great counter to pesky Steel Gauntlets, especially in Mannslaughter where there are so many in Wave 1. Spy is also a good Medic killer, just sap the Medics and backstab them and don’t get caught. TL;DR, Pyro only good for tanks and Medics, Spy is meta
Also Spy has a chance to instantly die when caught backstabbing an enemy robot while *giants are around.* Unless Dead Ringer is active, which is basically a free ticket to safety.
I agree with the vast majority of your video, however I think that it’s more important to get at least one rank of sentry firing speed before despenser range
Usually harder missions especially expert you need also support units because its very unlikely you will have big DPS to chew bots to scrap. So Pyro, Sniper, Spy are good picks especially Pyro + Sniper/Spy Because Giants are more common and appear early.
Nope, not at all :D a sniper can be really fun if you know how to shoot well. Most of his play styles evolve around the high risk high reward scheme ^^
@@anarullan Obviously yes, Huntsman doesn’t have the Explosion Headshot upgrade which makes the bow itself irrelevant in killing Uber Medics especially lacking the scope unlike the other sniper rifles, even with no headshot (It actually does) the Sydney Sleeper can do better than the bows because it has that upgrade.
It is a advanced bug that I will show in the engineer video. It basically involves the engie having 3 points into the jump height upgrade, having his sentry on himself and jumping. On the highest point you can destroy your sentry and the buster won't know where to go, so it starts tap dancing :D

Can you still get stuff from Boot Camp like for example weapons for the differnt classes? Cuz that would make Boot Camp a viable game mode for getting unlockable weapons.

problem, i tried getting into bootcamp, but it wouldnt bring me to the class choosing screan, it would just leave me with that birds eye view of the map, any clue on why this is happening, ( im a new player)

Sadly you can't. You need to play Mann up for that. And even then you need to be either be playing operation gear grinder or operation 2 cities for a chance of getting an australium
When you are selecting a mission have a look at weather there is a checkmark behind the mission that means that you have already complete this one in the current tour. So in order to get loot you need to do a mission that you have not yet completed :)
Yeah and you have even more cooldown after airblast with the Dragon’s Fury and you can’t put out tanks faster like the Phlogistinator’s MMPH effect, and even the Scorch Shot can help reset the bomb rather than waste a quarter of your flamethrower’s ammunition just to erase a goddamn bomb.
Airlast is fucking useless in MvM. It does NOT help. Phlog for tank and crowd shredding. Dragon’s fury maybe for giant shredding(though you can do it with phlog too)

Now crit phlog is better on tank and crowd

Sure :) in order to complete a tour you need as many tickets as there are missions, when you click on Mann up you will see different tours, the most commonly played ones are two cities and mecha engie if if you chose one you can see there are different missions, you need to complete all of them to gain a tour completion and a reward. I just had my first experience of Mann up and it was quite pleasant. I did join it with 3 other friends though, so it was only 2 randoms that could have potentially ruined the fun.
First round when selecting characters 3 people happened to pick engineer at the same time, this quickly turned into a joke as everyone, including the randoms, picked engineer (then someone switched back to scout to pick up money). We failed that round and just all switched to different classes without really saying a word about it, as if everyone silently agreed "haha, it was worth the try, anyways, back to meta".
Later in the match, someone in our friend group had to go AFK for a bit, so the 2 randoms just agreed to wait, one of them decided to grab a snack in the meantime, so we tried to push him in a hole while we waited (he came back too early).
Great experience, still had room for messing around, but managed to complete the match within a reasonable time.
does every tour consume a ticket?
@@johnpeiredaquavoii2213 In Mann Up mode, each MISSION takes a ticket. Completing a Tour will take multiple tickets.
Do note that failing a mission doesn't consume a ticket, only successfully completing a mission does.
If you want to help your friend with a Mann Up tour for example, but don't want to buy a bunch of tickets, you could hypothetically buy 1 ticket, join your friend in the mission, help them till right before the end of the mission, and then leave. That way, you don't get any rewards and your ticket isn't consumed, allowing you to use the ticket again for the next mission.

You should've mentioned that the soldier is only viable late wave and that picking gas passer pyro basically makes the rest of the team useless
This really depends on the wave. Most of the times soldier plays into a different playstyle. He usually is the one class that reacts to robots, whereas pyro is more of a medic killer in the earlier rounds.
Especially with the gas passer taking time to reload in earlier rounds.

Played Medic on Empire Escalation and it was incredible. Besides I don’t have much Cosmetics and I have completed Gear Grinder.
We all started at some point :D and hey it is your skill that makes you good at mvm :D even tho having an unusual or nice looking cosmetics does get you envy from your fellow teammates at the winning screen :p

Brett Austen I would take Spy over Pyro any day, especially on first wave. At least Spy won’t die within the first 10 seconds like Pyro.
@@theotv5522 Pyro’s a good class to play, when there’s tanks. Phlogistinator is widely known as one of, if not the *second best* tank buster in the game, behind Air Strike + B.A.S.E Jumper Soldier and above Cleaner’s Carbine + Bushwacka Sniper without wasting 100 credits for a several thousand damage or having to press Q over and over again checking your CRIKEY every time. Sure Gas is unfun to play and unfun to have when your teammate has one because it will make the other members useless because they just wasted 400 credits for a damn explosive upgrade, but it’s the safest example of “Killing Uber Medics without a Sniper or Demoman” without needing to spam stickies or aiming for heads, it’s the dumbest but fastest option of killing Medic robots.
Also Spy is actually a good class to play in MvM. Spy can stun robots so that your team can kill them without dying, and is a great counter to pesky Steel Gauntlets, especially in Mannslaughter where there are so many in Wave 1. Spy is also a good Medic killer, just sap the Medics and backstab them and don’t get caught.
TL;DR, Pyro only good for tanks and Medics, Spy is meta
Also Spy has a chance to instantly die when caught backstabbing an enemy robot while *giants are around.* Unless Dead Ringer is active, which is basically a free ticket to safety.

Usually harder missions especially expert you need also support units because its very unlikely you will have big DPS to chew bots to scrap.
So Pyro, Sniper, Spy are good picks especially Pyro + Sniper/Spy
Because Giants are more common and appear early.
My favorite class for MVM personally is sniper my loadout is Huntsman, jarate and stock melee.

Nope, not at all :D a sniper can be really fun if you know how to shoot well. Most of his play styles evolve around the high risk high reward scheme ^^

@@anarullan Obviously yes, Huntsman doesn’t have the Explosion Headshot upgrade which makes the bow itself irrelevant in killing Uber Medics especially lacking the scope unlike the other sniper rifles, even with no headshot (It actually does) the Sydney Sleeper can do better than the bows because it has that upgrade.
There is one con about bootcamp that you missed and it is that LITERALLY EVERYONE plays nightmare mode or ghost town map

4:25 what is up with that sentry buster? Also nice video.
It is a advanced bug that I will show in the engineer video. It basically involves the engie having 3 points into the jump height upgrade, having his sentry on himself and jumping. On the highest point you can destroy your sentry and the buster won't know where to go, so it starts tap dancing :D

You can find the setting called Use item in Action Slot in the controls menu and that is the one you need to change :)

Can you still get stuff from Boot Camp like for example weapons for the differnt classes? Cuz that would make Boot Camp a viable game mode for getting unlockable weapons.
Sadly not, you can still get random drops just like in casual, but there is no loot for the completion of a map.

Sadly you can't. You need to play Mann up for that. And even then you need to be either be playing operation gear grinder or operation 2 cities for a chance of getting an australium

I have a question, I have 3/4 games for the australium mvm but whenever I play it doesn’t give me any loot, Why?
When you are selecting a mission have a look at weather there is a checkmark behind the mission that means that you have already complete this one in the current tour. So in order to get loot you need to do a mission that you have not yet completed :)
the dragon fury is way better than the phlog for 2 reasons:
1: it has airblast and can reset the bomb
2: has a higher dps

Yeah and you have even more cooldown after airblast with the Dragon’s Fury and you can’t put out tanks faster like the Phlogistinator’s MMPH effect, and even the Scorch Shot can help reset the bomb rather than waste a quarter of your flamethrower’s ammunition just to erase a goddamn bomb.
Airlast is fucking useless in MvM. It does NOT help. Phlog for tank and crowd shredding. Dragon’s fury maybe for giant shredding(though you can do it with phlog too)

Dragon's fury was the most damaging primary cuz it got reload speed upgrade. but it got patched because pyro could stun giant robots with jetpack and murder them ON HIS OWN. Now crit phlog is better on tank and crowd
why are you smacking your sentry with no metal? im new to mvm but unless I'm missing something, how do you have unusuals while smacking a sentry with no metal.
If you smack sentries while theyre first building they build faster

Sure :) in order to complete a tour you need as many tickets as there are missions, when you click on Mann up you will see different tours, the most commonly played ones are two cities and mecha engie if if you chose one you can see there are different missions, you need to complete all of them to gain a tour completion and a reward. So yeah I hope I was of help :)

Nope, the ticket gets used when you enter the loot screen at the end :D
