I have an Ace Grand on the way, I first bought the new Riv but after just a couple days I decided it’s not for me it was just too small for my big hands so I traded it off for the Grand.
This was my first time watching one of your videos, very informative and I agree with all your points the lines on this knife are what attracted me to it.
Also a little constructive criticism, I know a lot of youtubers like to use background music in their videos but I don’t think you need it, I found it to be distracting after a while when I was trying to listen to you.
Overall great video so am subscribed and look forward to watching more.

Man that micarta is greasy as sh**. Micarta never was my thing. I can deal with black micarta because the oil doesn't show as much.

Great review Wes. I have a Grand and love it. I agree with you regarding lock access. I cannot for the life of me understand why designers omit a shallow relief on the opposite scale. The new Ferrum Forge Stinger is guilty of this as well but I still love it regardless. Have a fantastic evening
I don’t get it either, should be top of mind when designing with that type of lock.
Solid review. As much as I want to love Giant Mouse designs, I can't. For knives with so much potential, there's always issues with their designs that make them fall short. I have the Ace Biblio and it has almost all the same issues as this knife on top of an actual finger choil that is far too small to be used sufficiently. The designers are awesome people, the knives are good, but damn, they need to make some changes for their customers.
Don't think the jimping is purely for pinch grip...
I enjoy your channel quite a bit, if I could make a suggestion: after the intro it might be better to use the camera that's focused on your desk and the knife instead of switching back and forth. The camera on your face tends to shift focus constantly between your face and the knife in front of you which is disorienting to the eyes and uncomfortable. My two cents! 🤙🏾
