    You should try the Medford Smooth Criminal. Button lock with similar dimensions.

    Throw some skiff bearings in the Malibu and it’s amazing

    Looks a very different knife to others reviewed previously. Thanks.

    Yes I do like flippers. I haven’t had the chance yet to experience a button lock but sure would like to try one out. This was a great review and I now want the Malibu more than before...lol. We will see, as I am mostly a budget knife collector.

      snagged a used one of these (maybe a snail trail or two on the handle) from a guy on bladeforums for 190 bucks and HOLY SHIT i think this knife has THE best detent and action i've ever had... and I have 2 shiros a demko 20.5 and a hinderer xm18 so far... Honestly i don't know why it is so hard for Shiro and most other "luxury" knife makers to make a reasonable detent and not the kind that is either going to skin my finger and not open or open after a struggle.... I now see what the big deal about button locks and specifically this knife is all about! Also pretty happy to know that it is made in the usa!

    Wow. That’s a sweet pm2. Love those scales. Where from? What all did you do to that knife?
    Nice Malibu too

    Would this particular knife be legal to EDC in California?

    • @GOLD_FEVER
      @GOLD_FEVER 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can edc whatever you want as long as the wrong karens don't see it. 99% of police will not bother you about a knife because they tend to be knife users as well... But if it matters that much to you wether big brother approves of your knives then yes it is legal since it is one of the few Pro-Techs that is NOT automatic, simply a button lock.

    This knife gets too much love. I would prefer the Kizer Genie (same action feel), Civivi Brigand, or even the Kubey Drake. A button lock alone just isn't enough for me. Coupled with the fact that personally I dislike 20cv. I think it's a good knife, just not a great one.

      Liner/frame locks aren't in the same category IMO
