Crossbones on the Genocide Route is just straight badass, even cooler than the original Sans I dare say. Before you fell down, being a superhero was a gig he didn't really take that seriously. He never even considered his arch nemesis to be a threat, so he didn't have a reason to stop messing around. All that changed once you reared your ugly head, as Sans realises he finally now has to fight true evil. Because of your cruel intentions, Sans is forced to reveal a side of himself he had hidden until now: his serious side. He really gives off the same vibes as when Spiderman snaps, with how quickly he goes from some goofy jokester, to a menacing figure. The scene that really shows this is when Sans forces Harry and Larry to evacuate, and you can see the genuine terror in both of their eyes once Sans stops sugarcoating his words. I just really like the idea of a lazy superhero that has to hold back all the time because of how weak his opponents are, until he finally meets a true threat that forces him to go all out and cut the crap. Sans is perfect in this game.
I love how the title Muscle Memory can apply both to the player, who presumably has fought Sans before during the UT genocide run, and to Sans, who explicitely talks about always having to fight a murderous child in any universe he inhabits. At this point, it has become muscle memory to both of us.

@@groetaer Not everything has to be a total surprise. Being different for the sake of being different doesn't necessarily make things better. And if you consider Megalovania Chara's theme, that's who you play as in the game so it would fit either way.
At first, I'll be honest, I was skeptical but welcoming of Crossbones. Mostly because how I wondered in terms of how they'd strike a balance between the Crossbones persona and Sans himself, and suffice to say, I couldn't have asked for a better time playing the routes with this take on the character. A snarky superhero who loves to make jokes? Can't help but love it, plus it works well narratively as well because when these supers drop their carefree shtick, that's when you truly know things are serious. That drop in the Spider-Man style joking with his enemies and being unable to really take them too seriously in contrast to what the Human has been doing through the isles and his personality swing really helps set the tone for this segment of the demo. It already has some dark moments in this, no doubt, and Crossbones' serious side helps emphasize it greatly as the hero realizes just how much of a danger the villain, in this case, the Human is to quite literally everyone. Even then, his character isn't too serious. It's a kind of serious that Spider-Man would give in that regard. Yeah, he'll less make jokes, but boy will he find ways to get under your skin and throw you off kilter to the best way he can. Like with his whole fight where he'll just make up two entire 'origin stories' to basically screw with you and buy time for the evacuations out of the isles, a masterful interpretation of Sans bending the rules of the RPG he's in to, instead of stalling the Player by never ending his turn, making us basically waste our time and prevent us from killing more. I certainly hope in the coming updates, we get more of Crossbones, because as a character, he's incredibly well written and honestly in my opinion, the best take on a Sans who has swapped positions to be the 'Papyrus' in a particular story.
I mean, there is inverted fate as well, which is an really good sans take in general, but I think for the whole " swap " side of things, crossbones might be just better

Honestly my favorite part in Ruthless was when Crossbones warned Harry and Larry, at first he tries to warn them calmly but he sees they don't listen so he goes straight to the menacing point, i mean i get why they got scared, imagine the dude who is your enemy but is usually a jokester who never takes anything seriously suddenly telling you if you don't go away you will regret it with one hell of a terrifying look... yeah they got it directly.
My boy finally got his own theme and fight he deserves. TS Underswap is truly one of the best Undertale Aus and fangames and I’m glad it finally got the area 2 we’ve been waiting for and considering how good TS US is currently, it’s full game could even surpass Undertale Yellow in greatness. I love that his theme stays faithful to a lot of aspects of the OG Megalovania while also feeling like it’s own thing, also the Megalovania bit near the end is amazing.

i love how this title has a Meta meaning just like Megalovania In Megalovania the name is an acronym of both Megalomaniac and Transilvania (which also means "On the other side") which is basically our Theme telling us what we are, a person with delusions of grandeur, feeling superior to others and with abilities and qualities above average. in this, Muscle Memory the name says it itself, the ability to reproduce a particular movement without conscious thought, acquired as a result of frequent repetition of that movement. because most players already fought Sans before this battle (some of them during Pacifist/Neutral/Evacuation route, or most commonly, in the OG Undertale Genocide Route).
Since crossbones survived it could be cool that the papyrus fight (you know, the one in the judgement hall thingie) could be more like a teamwork fight, you know, like, crossbones and papyrus facing against the kid together or something idk

I hope the "PAPYRUS is actually more mysterious than sans theory" comes at work (Also its hinted that gaster blasters are actually papyrus's signature move in this game's Pacifist route)

i heavily dislike this song for the use of the MEGALOVANIA soundfont, it heavily drags the song down and just makes it sounds.. off. i might try to make a much better rendition of this soon, like an "updated version"
@themustardman219 soundfonts are usually pretty low quality, the megalovania soundfont (which im certain was used here) is a low quality soundfont with pretty low quality samples that are pretty inaccurate too.. with the new version that I'm making I'm gonna simply improve upon it, basically update it and make it more "high quality"

Beethovenus is not a pedophile. Defending deltarune smut is not equivalent to owning terabytes of child porn. That twitter document is a weak collection of allegations that amount to "problematic" opinions and wrongthink. Even if you think it was enough to condemn the guy (and I think that's insane) pedophile is one of the most damning things you can call somebody in the internet age and it's completely out of proportion to what's actually been alleged and the evidence that substantiates it. Don't forget that Toby Fox wrote a rock opera about 13 year old boys impregnating each other, used the f-slur extensively, and said some wild shit on the mspa forums. But it was a long time ago, it was totally unserious, and it doesn't matter at all. Until there's concrete proof of actual harm done, saying edgy shit on the internet should be a slight misdemeanor at worst. But you guys are prosecuting it like a first degree felony. Grow up.

i heavily dislike this song for the use of the MEGALOVANIA soundfont, it heavily drags the song down and just makes it sounds.. off. i might try to make a much better rendition of this soon, like an "updated version"

@themustardman219 soundfonts are usually pretty low quality, the megalovania soundfont (which im certain was used here) is a low quality soundfont with pretty low quality samples that are pretty inaccurate too..
with the new version that I'm making I'm gonna simply improve upon it, basically update it and make it more "high quality"
