Some people think that we killed the Crossbones persona and only Sans is left. Koffin-K and Crossbones team up battle would be epic though.

One of the best Sub-Villains to date. He may be evil, but he's not Destructive. Je may call his sidekicks idiots, but he has plenty respect for them. He considers Chara a servant, but is willing to listen to their troubles and help them. He's Evil with a heart of gold.
The way I see it is his sinister villain larp is a way to get respect and praise, which is confirmed by him tearing up as he hears genuine praise and admiration from Chara. As we know, monsters are made out of love and magic, and unlike muffet, he does not possess that rare selfish and sociopathic personality she has so in reality his larp of chaotic evil is, after all, foreign to him and it instantly breaks down the moment he goes to the festival with you and he just becomes just a mischievous, if callous goofball. Best boy 10/10 hope sans lets him go later in the story
Koffin-K is a pure and beautiful soul, and I wish only for him to live a long, happy life of ding-dong ditching every house in the Underground with his bestie Chara.

This is THE perfect theme for a villain who doesn't even take himself seriously, he's a villain for the sake of being a villain, and he's okay with that
Great summary, Koffin K is just misunderstood and doesn't get the fame he deserves, he puts his heart into even the smallest details that make koffin K the one and only Koffin K. Sans (crossbones) knows he's never gonna do actual harm to anyone (unlike us the human), so he's going really chill on him and controls situation all the time. Koffin K really values the people he met and doesn't think of them as worthless pawns to play with, he genuinely cares about Chara and his boogiemen. In pacifist I did all servant duties fair and square without the help of Flowey and it turned out to be key points for koffin K to rethink why he attacked Chara. I love him, he's the best villain

We need a villain for Crossbones, duh. So that’s why we have him. Someone as humorous as Crossbones is, but in a different way. Crossbones’s humor is his skeleton themed jokes and Koffin-K’s humor is mischief.
Yep just beat them the Greasers enough and they will just run away that's what I did in my pacifist route :), I'm pretty sure the same goes for Harry and Larry, for Muffet Crossbones saves her, well the Ruined knights can be fought in any route
I genuinely thought that this guy was Papyrus in disguise, playing the villain role for the film he and Sans are making. Look at him, he's got Pap's body proportions, the eyes under the hat are similar and he's even got that trademark red-ish orange. Also Papyrus kinda dissapears somewhere for a big chunk of the game. Then Paps and Koffin-K (on your head) meet in Starstruck Village. I wonder if that idea was originally planned by the devs? Still, i am really glad i was wrong, and we got this lovable, mischievious doofus as a separate character. Addendum: The eyes under the hat are still unexplained.
Yeh the eyes under the hat are some of his bat minions Koffin K is just the hat you can tell when he disguises himself as your hat at before the whole crown jewel wheel fight

I love how, as opposed to just keeping Crossbones as a character, they decided create a RIVAL for him in this AU. A rival who is not only a completely original character but has an ENTIRE SECTION in Starlight Isles, new characters who act as his servants, and is that 'villain' trope where a character enjoys playing the role of a villain rather than actually being one, which leads to some goofy shenanigans from him and his minions, but also lighthearted ones between him and the player. Not to mention the fact that, since Crossbones is a skeleton, they decided to make him a VAMPIRE, and two of his servants as 'Boogiemen' to lean more towards a halloween theme. Genius. The human was right, he IS so worth it.
Fun fact: Much like his underlings, you can spare him by just beating him up...Kinda. Once you destroy his "body", you can still check on him and spare him the same way you do if you were trying to convince him to that he can be cool without being evil.
This guy is like a fusion between papyrus and mettaton and I love him so much for it. My favorite character from the fangame so far hope we see more of him.
I used for him a high-pitched papyrus-like voice when I was playing with my friend. We laughed our asses so hard in every single room. Together with crossbones they are almost in every single room of isles and it is easier to jump from the roof than not to laugh of these two
This music is ABSOLUTELY perfect for the situation you're in. You're fighting this fancy vampire dude who comes off as evil but is really just silly (Doofenshmirtz type personality) at a fair, and it feels like K's music is constantly being interrupted by the music from everything around him like the ferris wheel and the boogiemen. Plus (and most importantly) Koffin K is peak
I love Koffin K because he cares about Chara and his boogiemen, he is jealous of crossbones and is not evil at all. This jealousness he has of crossbones made him furious but he would never actually hurt anyone, he's a person I would like to do servant duties for all day
Absolutely agree. I just hope he gets included as one of the bookmarks in the menu. I mean, we spent like, twice as much time with him and his goons than we did Sans. Also, he NEEDS a Ruthless Route fight.

He doesn't seem aware of the whole "murderous human" thing and there's no way for him to know what happened to Harry and Larry, plus he explicitly states that Chara scares him.
I love koffin K because he doesn't think of Chara as just a servant as he says, maybe he never even thought of Chara as a servant or just in the beginning, but I've felt this connection between him and Chara. I respect koffin k for not letting mad dummy kill chara, he literally saved chara, he knew mad dummy would kill Chara. That's why after arriving in kk's mansion i did all servant duties fair and square, I didn't ask Flowey for help and I didn't cheat with the clean coat on the rack in washing machine room, plus come on these tasks weren't any hard, kk just had fun having someone do his chores because he didn't want to do them, he's NOT evil, nor kk wanted Chara to get hurt. When he told his henchmen harry and Larry to fight chara he didn't do this because he finds pleasure in it but rather because he was bored, like very bored. Speaking of Harry and Larry he cares about them like a good boss, he gives them where to sleep and tells them they are good two sillies, chara reminded them also that kk likes them both same way. After leaving koffins mansion i first went to the top of the mountain which was a good decision, because it melted my heart when kk cared about Chara like a father and promising to fully support her whatever happens. Then when going to festival I did all mischievous and "evil" things like throwing rock in the window, putting banana peel behind the old man, knocking on the f-ing door like small children and tossing toilet paper on the crossbones statue. I also loved when koffin k let Chara speak with muffet alone and being proud of Chara. Koffin K is a GREAT character. When he decided to fight Chara because he thought she was on crossbones side all the time and called him to stop kk, I was happy i did all these "evil" things together with koffin because there was the act option to remind him we did all he said, all servant duties and had fun together, i was starting to cry out of happiness so much. Koffin K was really thinking all the time, he was kinda confused and didn't know what to think about Chara, he started thinking eventually it was his fault and he did so much bad things and ruined peoples day at the festival. It was so wholesome because he didn't have to do this, but it only shows HOW MUCH HE VALUED CHARA FOR ALL SHE DID WITH HIM, chara listened to koffin k all the time, Chara knew koffin is not empty inside, koffin appreciated everything she did for him. I'm literally crying even right now, I love characters that have a personality like koffin k, characters that are very opened. Count Koffin Keep is the best Underswap character.
A comparison between crossbones and Koffin-K that I've noticed for a while is that Koffin-K restricts your movement with the purple soul mode while crossbones gives you more movement and versatility with the dash superpower. This is just something I wanted to point out.
Koffin-K is probably one of the few characters I found kinda cute in the entire game like He's just so mischievous yet tries his best into looking like an evil villain LMAO i love him sm
I love Koffin K, he really won me over. 😁 Initially I really disliked him because of how he double-crossed Maddie and bossed Chara around, but I got the memory at the top of the mountain with him on my head, and on the way down he was asking Chara if they were okay, and seemed so genuinely concerned... It reminded me of that book in the Librarby from normal Undertale, which established that monster souls are fundamentally composed of things like compassion. Koffin K is a bit of a jerk but he's still a monster, he's not without his redeeming qualities. Also it warmed me up to him just in time for all the goofy shenanigans at the fair, which just cemented it, this guy's great.

There's a deliberate parallel in Undertale between Mad Mew Mew and Mettaton - both were ghosts who found a body that they really liked and adopted a gendered presentation, and were much happier and more comfortable with themselves afterwards. Mettaton's self-discovery and possession of his mechanical body took place before the events of the game, but Maddie went through that arc in-game - she was initially met as Mad Dummy in the dump, where the narration refers to the character with "they" & "it". Then much later in the game she's encountered as Mad Mew Mew, at which point the narration refers to her with "she", and she has a bunch of dialogue about how much happier she is, how the Mew Mew doll suits her way better than the dummy, how she "rescued herself" - it's a neat allegory for transgender self-discovery, made all the more apparent by the obvious comparison to Mettaton. While Mad Mew Mew only appears in-game in the Switch version specifically, official material outside the game has consistently implied that finding the Mew Mew doll and becoming Mad Mew Mew is the character's canon fate in the True Pacifist timeline. In TS!Underswap, Mettacrit doesn't have his metal body, but like in Undertale he's already presenting as male before the start of the game. So it seems like Maddie is also going to have the same gender situation in this AU as she does in base Undertale. One thing in particular that I've noticed that makes me think so is the way, when she's encountered as the Mad Doghouse, she talks about how the Dummy she was in before wasn't any good and how it was holding her back - very similar to how she seems to feel about her dummy form in Undertale. I'm hoping that at some point in the story she'll get to resolve that arc, whether by finding a body that makes her as happy as the Mew Mew doll, or by going down the same path Mettacrit did in this AU, adopting a gendered presentation and learning to feel comfortable in her skin even without her dream body.

I really loved this boss it reminded me of Antasma from M&L and his too henchmen remind me of Popple and Rookie I don't know if they inspired the characters or if it was just a conscience but I think it's neat ether way this fan game is awesome
according to the wiki It is confirmed that he was inspired by Antasma and the Snatcher from A Hat in Time so yeah it's intentional. I wouldn't be surprised if the henchmen were also inspired by Popple and Rookie

This song + the ferris wheel in the background is perfection, it gives me world revolving jevil vibes. This fight is just mega crazy and I love it, I didn't expect to fight koffin K, but rather crossbones together with him. I love how serious kk tried to be in this fight and also "business is business you betrayed me so you die" but in his heart, not that deep, he would never harm Chara on purpose, he listened to her when she was reminding him if all the mischief they did on the festival and the servant duties chara did. I just LOVE how koffin K actually listens to Chara in the fight, he genuinely cares about her being with him all the time and helping with getting on the festival. Before all this after the dummy chase and kk saving Chara's life, I knew koffin can't be THAT bad even if he worked with the mad dummy. The new costume he gave Chara was adorable and her eyes looked angry for some reason and I loved it. Anyway I did all servant duties fair and square, I didn't ask Flowey for help nor did I use clean coat on the rack in washing machine room. I felt like this is the least I can do for kk after he saved Chara from dummy, I always choose agreeing and "yes" option when kk was asking questions to show him I'm on his side because he's deep down not an evil guy. On the festival i did all these mischievous things like putting the banana peel and throwing rock on the door and then the window, it was just so cool walking with a hat that can talk and adds his dialogue when you interact with things or monsters, that's why this game is really solid and koffin K really didn't think of Chara as a worthless servant, even tho he was calling Chara that way. That's why I felt really sad when it all came to just fight koffin but luckily he could've been spared. I was reminding him of all the EVIL things he did with chara and had the dialogue you wrote above, and going back to what I said earlier Koffin REALLY listened and cared about Chara all the time, he would never hurt her even if she worked for crossbones all the time. This character/boss/monster is way better than other monsters because he rethinks his decisions and I'm not talking about the blessed mechanics and dialogue changing based on what you did, just that Chara became his friend and he didn't even notice that on the beginning. End of the fight with crossbones catching koffin was kinda lame but still he did some bad things and that had to happen. Anyway I love Koffin K!! And I love Underswap!!
Spoilers sorry! I know for lore reasons it had to be Sans who fights you at the end, but imagine how cool it could’ve been if it was Koffin-K? Redemption at the last moment, shame it clearly wouldn’t matter.
As much as I love the crossbones’ fight for its chill and funny vibes (in pacifist that is) this fight feels much more like the final boss for this section to me
Yeah, Sans couldn't be on the first part because of the dogs, they couldn't be on koffin keep, and we couldn't interact with them in starstruck village

Great summary, Koffin K is just misunderstood and doesn't get the fame he deserves, he puts his heart into even the smallest details that make koffin K the one and only Koffin K. Sans (crossbones) knows he's never gonna do actual harm to anyone (unlike us the human), so he's going really chill on him and controls situation all the time. Koffin K really values the people he met and doesn't think of them as worthless pawns to play with, he genuinely cares about Chara and his boogiemen. In pacifist I did all servant duties fair and square without the help of Flowey and it turned out to be key points for koffin K to rethink why he attacked Chara. I love him, he's the best villain

I genuinely thought that this guy was Papyrus in disguise, playing the villain role for the film he and Sans are making.
Look at him, he's got Pap's body proportions, the eyes under the hat are similar and he's even got that trademark red-ish orange. Also Papyrus kinda dissapears somewhere for a big chunk of the game.
Then Paps and Koffin-K (on your head) meet in Starstruck Village.
I wonder if that idea was originally planned by the devs? Still, i am really glad i was wrong, and we got this lovable, mischievious doofus as a separate character.

I love how, as opposed to just keeping Crossbones as a character, they decided create a RIVAL for him in this AU.
A rival who is not only a completely original character but has an ENTIRE SECTION in Starlight Isles, new characters who act as his servants, and is that 'villain' trope where a character enjoys playing the role of a villain rather than actually being one, which leads to some goofy shenanigans from him and his minions, but also lighthearted ones between him and the player.
Not to mention the fact that, since Crossbones is a skeleton, they decided to make him a VAMPIRE, and two of his servants as 'Boogiemen' to lean more towards a halloween theme. Genius.
The human was right, he IS so worth it.

Funnily enough, I'm pretty sure some people thought that Koffin was Papyrus in disguise.
I used for him a high-pitched papyrus-like voice when I was playing with my friend. We laughed our asses so hard in every single room. Together with crossbones they are almost in every single room of isles and it is easier to jump from the roof than not to laugh of these two

This music is ABSOLUTELY perfect for the situation you're in. You're fighting this fancy vampire dude who comes off as evil but is really just silly (Doofenshmirtz type personality) at a fair, and it feels like K's music is constantly being interrupted by the music from everything around him like the ferris wheel and the boogiemen.

I love koffin K because he doesn't think of Chara as just a servant as he says, maybe he never even thought of Chara as a servant or just in the beginning, but I've felt this connection between him and Chara. I respect koffin k for not letting mad dummy kill chara, he literally saved chara, he knew mad dummy would kill Chara. That's why after arriving in kk's mansion i did all servant duties fair and square, I didn't ask Flowey for help and I didn't cheat with the clean coat on the rack in washing machine room, plus come on these tasks weren't any hard, kk just had fun having someone do his chores because he didn't want to do them, he's NOT evil, nor kk wanted Chara to get hurt. When he told his henchmen harry and Larry to fight chara he didn't do this because he finds pleasure in it but rather because he was bored, like very bored. Speaking of Harry and Larry he cares about them like a good boss, he gives them where to sleep and tells them they are good two sillies, chara reminded them also that kk likes them both same way. After leaving koffins mansion i first went to the top of the mountain which was a good decision, because it melted my heart when kk cared about Chara like a father and promising to fully support her whatever happens. Then when going to festival I did all mischievous and "evil" things like throwing rock in the window, putting banana peel behind the old man, knocking on the f-ing door like small children and tossing toilet paper on the crossbones statue. I also loved when koffin k let Chara speak with muffet alone and being proud of Chara. Koffin K is a GREAT character. When he decided to fight Chara because he thought she was on crossbones side all the time and called him to stop kk, I was happy i did all these "evil" things together with koffin because there was the act option to remind him we did all he said, all servant duties and had fun together, i was starting to cry out of happiness so much. Koffin K was really thinking all the time, he was kinda confused and didn't know what to think about Chara, he started thinking eventually it was his fault and he did so much bad things and ruined peoples day at the festival. It was so wholesome because he didn't have to do this, but it only shows HOW MUCH HE VALUED CHARA FOR ALL SHE DID WITH HIM, chara listened to koffin k all the time, Chara knew koffin is not empty inside, koffin appreciated everything she did for him. I'm literally crying even right now, I love characters that have a personality like koffin k, characters that are very opened. Count Koffin Keep is the best Underswap character.

A comparison between crossbones and Koffin-K that I've noticed for a while is that Koffin-K restricts your movement with the purple soul mode while crossbones gives you more movement and versatility with the dash superpower.

I love Koffin K, he really won me over. 😁 Initially I really disliked him because of how he double-crossed Maddie and bossed Chara around, but I got the memory at the top of the mountain with him on my head, and on the way down he was asking Chara if they were okay, and seemed so genuinely concerned... It reminded me of that book in the Librarby from normal Undertale, which established that monster souls are fundamentally composed of things like compassion. Koffin K is a bit of a jerk but he's still a monster, he's not without his redeeming qualities. Also it warmed me up to him just in time for all the goofy shenanigans at the fair, which just cemented it, this guy's great.

There's a deliberate parallel in Undertale between Mad Mew Mew and Mettaton - both were ghosts who found a body that they really liked and adopted a gendered presentation, and were much happier and more comfortable with themselves afterwards. Mettaton's self-discovery and possession of his mechanical body took place before the events of the game, but Maddie went through that arc in-game - she was initially met as Mad Dummy in the dump, where the narration refers to the character with "they" & "it". Then much later in the game she's encountered as Mad Mew Mew, at which point the narration refers to her with "she", and she has a bunch of dialogue about how much happier she is, how the Mew Mew doll suits her way better than the dummy, how she "rescued herself" - it's a neat allegory for transgender self-discovery, made all the more apparent by the obvious comparison to Mettaton. While Mad Mew Mew only appears in-game in the Switch version specifically, official material outside the game has consistently implied that finding the Mew Mew doll and becoming Mad Mew Mew is the character's canon fate in the True Pacifist timeline.
In TS!Underswap, Mettacrit doesn't have his metal body, but like in Undertale he's already presenting as male before the start of the game. So it seems like Maddie is also going to have the same gender situation in this AU as she does in base Undertale. One thing in particular that I've noticed that makes me think so is the way, when she's encountered as the Mad Doghouse, she talks about how the Dummy she was in before wasn't any good and how it was holding her back - very similar to how she seems to feel about her dummy form in Undertale. I'm hoping that at some point in the story she'll get to resolve that arc, whether by finding a body that makes her as happy as the Mew Mew doll, or by going down the same path Mettacrit did in this AU, adopting a gendered presentation and learning to feel comfortable in her skin even without her dream body.

I just LOVE how koffin K actually listens to Chara in the fight, he genuinely cares about her being with him all the time and helping with getting on the festival. Before all this after the dummy chase and kk saving Chara's life, I knew koffin can't be THAT bad even if he worked with the mad dummy. The new costume he gave Chara was adorable and her eyes looked angry for some reason and I loved it. Anyway I did all servant duties fair and square, I didn't ask Flowey for help nor did I use clean coat on the rack in washing machine room. I felt like this is the least I can do for kk after he saved Chara from dummy, I always choose agreeing and "yes" option when kk was asking questions to show him I'm on his side because he's deep down not an evil guy. On the festival i did all these mischievous things like putting the banana peel and throwing rock on the door and then the window, it was just so cool walking with a hat that can talk and adds his dialogue when you interact with things or monsters, that's why this game is really solid and koffin K really didn't think of Chara as a worthless servant, even tho he was calling Chara that way. That's why I felt really sad when it all came to just fight koffin but luckily he could've been spared. I was reminding him of all the EVIL things he did with chara and had the dialogue you wrote above, and going back to what I said earlier Koffin REALLY listened and cared about Chara all the time, he would never hurt her even if she worked for crossbones all the time. This character/boss/monster is way better than other monsters because he rethinks his decisions and I'm not talking about the blessed mechanics and dialogue changing based on what you did, just that Chara became his friend and he didn't even notice that on the beginning. End of the fight with crossbones catching koffin was kinda lame but still he did some bad things and that had to happen. Anyway I love Koffin K!! And I love Underswap!!

I know for lore reasons it had to be Sans who fights you at the end, but imagine how cool it could’ve been if it was Koffin-K? Redemption at the last moment, shame it clearly wouldn’t matter.
As much as I love the crossbones’ fight for its chill and funny vibes (in pacifist that is) this fight feels much more like the final boss for this section to me

Yeah, Sans couldn't be on the first part because of the dogs, they couldn't be on koffin keep, and we couldn't interact with them in starstruck village
