The Fremantle Markets are a world famous tourist attraction in Western Australia and attracts thousands of visitors each month. The Fremantle Markets have been operating for over 100 years and is one of the premier heritage listed buildings in Western Australia. The first foundation stone was laid in 1897 by Sir John Forrest - the Premier of Western Australia.
Locals and tourists regularly visit the Fremantle Markets as they offer a large range of goods to buy and as well as offering entertainment with musicians and street buskers. The goods on offer range from clothing, jewellery, homewares, custom made items, packaged foods as well as having cafes in the markets to cater for the hungry shoppers.
