My husband and I visited Hamilton today from Kentucky and we were disappointed you and Jenny were both on the road, Misty. We did have a wonderful times going through the shops and spending way over budget. My hubby took advantage of the man cave while I was giddily going from shop to shop smiling all the way. All of the Missouri Star employees were really helpful and friendly and I had a great time. I wished I lived closer so I could visit more often.
We miss you, Jake! We love your Misty, Mom, Sis, and all you wonderful family 💝
I want to make one before Christmas after I come up to see all of you. I'm bringing a lady who has metastatic breast cancer. You are on her bucket list.
Bless her and Bless you Cheryl! Wishing you a great trip and tons of FUN!
We look forward to seeing you both, Cheryl! We're sending positive thoughts to your friend. :)
This would be so cute if you made a matching table runner, out of the same fabric! you would be styling at Christmas
Totally!! That's a great idea! :)
Plan ahead w the center square, fussy cut a fabric you really like. Then use the circle you out to make a cmas ornament! Tuck it into a canning ring, or sew another fabric RSF and turn it. Then edge stitch it closed. So many options!
Misty is doing a great job! Love MSQC
Wow I have watched live so many times here in NSW Australia and not once have I been seen in the comments LMAO Only here for the good ideas, patterns, fabric and people!! Great job every week!
Thank you Mindy and Jake, the tree skirt looks nice. 🥰👍 Take care and God Bless, Chris-Raleigh NC
Sending prayers 🙏 🙏 for a quick recovery and be safe
I already have a quilt finished for my sister for Christmas (yes I do start early), but she loves Maine and this would make a great tree skirt for her Maine inspired tree. -and it is so easy and quick. Thank you.
Patricia in Sebring FL. I love Missouri Star Company! Missy and family are awesome! Tutorials are so helpful. Love your tree skirt!
OHMYGOSH Misty..I love that !
Love you guys and watch every tutorial!
An idea for the curve, stitch around the circle using the 1/4 " then clip to the stitch line. Makes it easier to sew the binding on next.
Hi, from Texas. Glad to see a Christmas project. Thanks.
Really sweet tree skirt! Thank you, Missy!
So cute and easy. I love the panels also 👍
I had alot of fun making the tree skirt.
BEAUTIFUL TREE SKIRT PROJECT & I LUV LUV YOUR BRACELET MADE OF YOUR CHILDREN'S NAMES
Missed live glad I could catch up on TH-cam ❤️
Hello...I am late again....so nice to see you...from Mission, BC, Canada.
I’m finally making this!!! Thank you for this awesome idea!! Merry Christmas to you all!!
I did see someone fold the fabric a certain way and then started cutting for the binding and it was on the bias too. It looked super easy and very efficient .....
Loved this tutorial and pattern used. Thank you, Misty!!
I’ve made several of these for grandchildren. They’re very pretty. Difficult part is finding Christmas charm packs. I cut them from Christmas fabric.
Minnesota yeah!!!!
So Cute. Make something with the Panels next time. Great Job, Misty & Jake..
It would make a good Christmas table topper
It may be easier to sew around the circle if you baste a line around it first 1/4" away then make small clips in the fabric before you sew it. Just like sewing in a sleeve on a shirt.
Happy Tuesday from Nevada
best tutorial yet ! Thank you Misty & Jake & other camera man !😎💜🐓

Hey Jake..
This is praying hands 🙏
This is a high five 🖐
Lol...
Love this.. ❤
Hi from Central Ohio. I think this would be an awesome table topper.
I've been buying Christmas remnants for several years and some leftovers from a project or two. Looks like a fat quarters or two, backing, border and binding and I can make one of these. Looking forward to it.
We look forward to seeing your Christmas Tree Skirt, Susan! Happy sewing!
Hello from New Liskeard Ontario CANADA..love the tree skirt
It’s good that there is an odd number of rows so you are cutting it in the middle of a square instead of a seam.
Hi from Toronto!
Hi from Lowell Indiana
I think the Missouri Star pattern itself would be a beautiful center with some kind of gradient of colors! True?
Watching from Coburg, Oregon!
For those that don't want to cut their tree skirt, I've made several of these and did not cut the center. I just put the tree skirt under my tree stand. I feel like the presents cover the stand, so I don't need to cut a hole in the skirt.
Audrey Vorkoeper same here...I would never cut a hole in this
Misty good tip putting the binding together first. 👍
You could attatch the ties under the binding and secure it on when you attach the binding. Big buttons with loops would look so cute at well. or those knot buttons out of cloth. not sure what they are called.
I hope your son is doing better, Misty and Jake!
Hi from Fairfield Bay, Arkansas
Linda Frantz from Bluffton, SC. Love the Missouri Star Quilt company.
Linda Frantz Hello fellow palmetto quilter! Upstate quilter here 🤗

Hi ! Linda from South Carolina
Linda Herron I’m watching from SC, too!!!!! Hello fellow palmetto quilter! 🤗
🙏🏻this is supposed to be a high 5 but people (myself as well) choose to use as praying hands. This emoji 💩 is supposed to be chocolate, lol!
I like to make a fist bump.🤜🤛 for encouragement. Loved your video!!!
Lol, misty had a great chance to scare everyone. She just had to say, “oops” while she was cutting. I know, I am bad.
For binding, if cut wof, it will have a little give.
How many yards do you need for backing?
I made one and cut the hole in the wrong place! AUGGGGHHHHH! Mark center with a pin!
How are you doing the corners?
I extend my binding for ties?
Carolyn from central Maine
High five 🙌 prayers 🙏
prayers for your son !
Hello from Virginia. So use 5" squares or 10" squares. Do a 9x9 with that?
Nine 5 inch squares for each row and make 9 rows.
I like the comments. I don’t receive notifications in time. As I said, I CUT out five inch squares. Charm packs are expensive (in Canada)…
Ha ha welder in the sewing room trying to torch projects!
PEI Canada
Wouldn’t you need your binding cut on the bias so it goes around the circle?
Charm pack...not mini charm
Misty... use the clips to hold the binding on the circle
To read small letters and numbers I remove my glasses because they are for distance and I can see close.

PRAYER 🙏 HANDS
The cameraman needs to shut up so she can concentrate!
More sewing less chatting by Misty and sidekick!
Mr. please stop talking!
Jake needs to quit interrupting Misty (unless there is a question from FB)
Please make this again but without the men running over top of you. Can’t even watch this.
Im sorry but the camera guy is a little annoying and makes the video a little chaotic
and I felt as if it caused some confusion for our star seamstress.
I agree Jake needs to stop interrupting Misty. It is not only annoying but interferes with Misty and her instructions.
How did you do the corners?
