      @@TrafishAquatics Hi, can I ask what size dowel you used please? Do I need a certain distance away from the tank? Thanks 😊

    • @TrafishAquatics
      @TrafishAquatics  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used a 3/4" square dowel and velcrowed it right to the frame, the part That makes a difference is how far the background is away on the bottom, attach the background right to the top of the tank and then swing the bottom away maybe an inch or two from the light for best results

    I did this with the "rainfall" effect one. I just rolled it across and it made it look like layered water levels.

  • @MikeT808
    @MikeT808 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Excellent work. Did you get any light bleeding either side of the aquarium or did you block off the sides somehow ?

    • @TrafishAquatics
      @TrafishAquatics  ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a little bit but you can put some masking tape on the edges to block it

    Do you think it would have a similar effect without the main tank lights on if you were to use black posterboard? I'm setting up a fancy goldfish tank and I wanted to blackout the back glass until i saw this.

    • @TrafishAquatics
      @TrafishAquatics  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could but the colors wouldn't be as bright as black will absorb the light coloring that's produced

  • @daddycritt
    @daddycritt 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Do you use a water proof led or regular

    • @TrafishAquatics
      @TrafishAquatics  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Either will work because It's not going inside the aquarium, The ones I used didnt specify if they were or werent waterproof, but they look exactly like ones that are waterproof so I don't really know if there's much of a difference .

  • @Leib33
    @Leib33 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Very nice artistic effect. Thanks. My only problem is the frosted sheet. I'm actively avoiding buying anything from Amazon anymore so I'll try to find these items at companies which uphold American freedom ideals.

    • @TrafishAquatics
      @TrafishAquatics  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Completely understandable, there are many other companies that sell the frosted window tint as well.

  • @usposse

    in your opinion are all these lights healthy for the fish I am thinking they may stress out the fish a little and not be naturally what they are used to seeing from the sun with that being said I do like the lights just dont know how beneficial they are to the fish

    • @TrafishAquatics
      @TrafishAquatics  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The lights don't bother them at all, between the sun and moon in nature you wouldn't believe how much light actually penetrates the water column.
