OMG!!! I have had an ongoing battle/argument on "who was the best Bond" on YT, and this gentleman just won the bet for me. While all the other Bonds brought their own brand of excitement to the role, alas, in my concerted opinion, Daniel Craig embodied more aspects of the man than any other. He's the Bond for the 21st century. But for pure, unmitigated CHARM AND GRACE, it was Roger Moore, all the way.

Daniel Craig is the best Bond... ever. Even Roger Moore declared my same sentiment after watching Casino Royale, saying, "He IS Bond." As far as the sheer acting ability and physical presence of Craig is concerned, Matt Damon isn't fit to mix his martini. Damon is a boy, Craig is a MAN. Go back to watching your video games, you don't know what you're talking about.

    • @pr-tj5by
      @pr-tj5by 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tiffsaver Oh boy.....
Daniel Craig is not James Bond, he's a normal action character like Jason Bourne, Bond used to be the guy that every guy wanted to be
He fell in love with 2 women and left MI6 twice all in the space of 4 movies, What kind of James Bond is that.....
Could you ever imagine Connery, Moore or Brosnan doing anything like that...
If you want the Bond from the books then watch the Dalton or Craig Bond, he used to be a charming funny charismatic suave and sophisticated MI6 agent who pumped and dumped super models on his way to killing the bad guy and saving the world, If you don't have all these qualities then how can you possibly still be the Iconic James Bond that every guy wanted to be, it's a complete betrayal of the character
Bond isn't an icon for being Joe average serious gritty secret agent with no humour, he was 2 hours of the embodiment of masculine style humour and womanizing
Connery set the scene and it was continued through Moore and Brosnan, This is what separated a Classic James Bond from all other action movie characters and why every woman wanted him and everyone guy wanted to be him
I love the Bourne movies and have watched them all many times but if Bourne suddenly started chasing the women, developing a sense of humor or began being suave and sophisticated I'd be totally put off the character and that's why I was put off Craig fron the beginning
It's why Classic James Bonds like Moore, Brosnan and Connery were Brilliant while Craig is nothing more than a generic action character with a cool name and heritage built on the backs of his predecessors.

Daniel Craig is NOT an "action star," Bozo. He's a serious actor, with serious acting chops. Just read his iMDB resume, that is, if you CAN read. Anon ymous, Except for the fact that Moore played a Real Bond who didn't resign twice from MI6 cos he fell in love, only one of them played a True Bond and it certainly wasn't Craig

Roger Moore was fantastic as Bond. He was the biggest pervert, and had a great sense of humor about him. I think his overall presentation suited his strengths, and mainly avoided his weaknesses. He knew he wasn't good at projecting a tough guy image, so he played to his charm. Daniel Craig's strengths are his grit, intensity, and physique. He uses those things to play a different type of Bond. Both are great.

@@JM-ss4mp I have to disagree on Connery
Daniel Craig's portrayal was not James Bond at all except for the first hour of Spectre when he was brilliant, with that exception he was a generic action character like Bourne, Ethan Hunt etc
He resigned twice because he fell in love twice all in the space of 4 movies 50%, that's not a Classic Bond, could you ever imagine Connery, Moore or Brosnan doing anything like that
If you want the Bond from the books then watch Dalton or Craig but 99% of people identify with Bond through the movies not the books, They were the dark serious Ian Fleming Bond, that guy wasn't Iconic, The fun loving playboy Bond was
Bond was a charming funny charismatic suave and sophisticated playboy MI6 agent who bedded loads of women on his way to killing the bad guy and saving the world
Bond isn't an Icon for being an angry love sick puppy with a Bourne complex, he was 2 hours of the embodiment of a masculine playboy with style and humour
Connery set the scene and it was continued through Moore and Brosnan, This is what separated the Classic James Bonds from all other action movie characters, it's why every guy wanted to be him
It's why Classic James Bonds like Moore, Brosnan and Connery were Brilliant while Craig's Bond is nothing more than a vulnerable generic action character with a cool name and heritage built on the backs of 3 of his predecessors.

I love movies and series but never was a Bond fan...saw maybe one or two in my 54 years of life. But last year I bought a bluray box with all of them, except for the latest one with Craig. And Casino royale (1967) and Never say never again weren't included....got those two recently.
So now I'm watching them and having great fun, finished A view to a kill, Moore's last, today. Now as much as I like Sean Connery as an actor I like Moore's Bond more....the man has that perfect British dry humor and yes, the raised eyebrow is a thing down to perfection. I love when he hangs besides a window, looks in at the bad guy, looks away and immediately back with a dry smile, nod and that eyebrow thing....priceless!
And Schwarzenegger's oneliners are a thing....but he (or writers) definitely got it from Bond....Connery had great ones and Moore too.

They're all sound in their own portrayals. We can have favourites. We can have closest match to the book character. But best...? As Sean would say, "Bollocksh!"
