How you guys liking the game so far?
Enjoying it so far, lobbies feel good, every other game you have to go a bit harder, other times it’s like shooting fish in a barrel, I grew up with cod 4 being my first, and it does feel similar to the old days. desync/ hit reg is my main issue with it but mark has said it’s high priority. I’m looking forward to seeing how it goes.
@@iKeaaaron Ya the Hit reg is questionable but like you said Mark is on it. I love the communication from the Devs. It’s so refreshing to have a Dev team that actually cares.
@@sternwardboss yeah I respect the transparency. Games only been out a week, I’m all for giving games a chance… I mean I’ve just come off the back of halo infinite and we all know how that went. So this is a breath of fresh air imo
Some games are great some I put 4 shots of a magnum in someone in the back and get 4 hit markers they turn around and pull up ez kill me and I’m looking at my 11 ping like… Well okay then. They do need to add a TDM in

The simple thing i hate actually is the hit reg but it will be fix soon, the adrenaline is here for me just by playing the objectives and the fact there is no SBMM is just phenomenal i want to become better as F!!! just one thing, about my opinion, i think putting killstreak will be just dumb, because the main thing to do is playing objectives, having killstreak will just break the core of the game and the balance (even its not perfect), the game need to have its hown Identity and not being an other COD clone
PS if you hate Phantom shield or libertad heal just play IMP grenade and its better with deadsec's passive🤫

I couldn't imagine a worse use of developer time and money a BR is the last thing the devs should be spending time on for this game

i am glad its only MP without a big map with tanks, or BR, if i want to play that there are other games that do that. So no this game doesn't need that. This feels like the old school cod, and i all in for it.

I’ve been playing Cod since the very first game. It does minus the abilities
there isnt actually another game that gives u tanks and large maps and 60 total players. battlefield and thats it. if bf drops the ball no other game to fill that type of fps game.

Dude by the game not having SBMM you will get a mix of easy, mid, and hard games, is literally what old call of duty was you can’t have all easy matches because you will get bored in 2 days, and you cant have all sweaty matches because you wont have fun so this is actually perfect in between
Ya it’s so refreshing. A hard lobby is just as enjoyable if not more enjoyable than an easy one in this game. Winning in a sweat lobby is so satisfying. It’s not in Cod because every lobby is sweaty lol. No SBMM is undeniably better for a games health.
When do I get the not sweaty matches? The sweat to casual ratio is very very high.
@@RenigadeWarrior1 Most matches are pretty sweaty especially now that the super casuals are over it. I would say it’s about 80/20 now for me but experience over all is fun. Even with a sweaty team there’s always at least 1 or 2 that suck.
@@sternwardboss I've watched myself slip from 3rd place average straight down to the bottom as the sweats bunny hop, slide, and spider bot to the top. I can't stay alive long enough to get good at the game. I think I'm going to be done with it. Y'all can have the sweaty, sbmm free zone to yourselves 😂
if killstreaks are added i will leave the game because the whole reason i stopped playing cod (+SBMM) was because of killstreak farmers that would hide and not try the objective so they could get their nuke

@@sternwardbossbut that’s not this game. This is a team game, a hero shooter, and a 6v6 arena shooter, rolled together with an Ubisoft skin. Killstreaks would be too much on top of ultimates and faction abilities. You play the objective, get kills, and you’ll get ult fast and pop off. Same adrenaline, different source
@@sternwardboss what it really does is changes the focus from winning the game and helping your team to ratting and getting kills which is already a problem in this objective based shooter
@@AnthonySmyth-LogG- You’re right. I actually see that now the more I’ve played it. I think a reactive camo for hitting big kill streaks would be better. Blame Truth the Cod Father mentioned that and I think that would be sick.
I'm actually very glad that XDefiant is a relatively traditional arena shooter. To me BRs are somewhat anxiety-inducing, while in games like Team Fortress 2, Titanfall 2, OG Call of Duty games, and XDefiant I feel like I can just kick back and relax.
I’m glad too. I just want someone more with the game that’s all. I really want the game to succeed and the more content in the game the better.

The different is that warzone is free to play, you don't have a lot of 6v6 free to play. Battle royale you have a lot. I don't think they want to compete right now on battle royal and ubisoft already have a battle royale. I think it's just the start, if it continue to have more people maybe. But i think the priority is to make xdefiant 6v6 content more fun on the long run
I don’t think they need a BR. I would agree with a ground war type 12v12 maybe throw in a bike or atv but no real vehicles

w video bro I dont really like xdefiant as much as I tried to force myself to continue to play it but the hit detection is so bad and the game overall is basically the same way it was in the beta... I think the fact its free and close to og cod is the main reason that its popular like there is legit no content in the game to look forward to imo so thats why i play bo3 and bo4 still we dont HAVE to play the new cods and its annoying with sbmm but to bypass sbmm I just play older cods I did and still want the game to succeed but its just not for me which is fine and im glad people are loving it BUT MY BAD YAPPING W VIDEO KINGGG...
Ya content is definitely lacking. I didn’t mention the server issues because they’re actively working on it.
Great strat playing the older Titles. Best way to do it. Less SBMM and the game has a full year of support lol. I love going back and playing older Cods. I still play Cold War all the time

As a cod veteran myself, going back to cod4, this game has brought back that spark for me. The general feeling of the gunplay is just..... mwah. Im not cracked and im not good. But i am consistent across all my games here. Feels so good

Yo I havent used my PS5 in over a year, I'm thinking of playing this game, and I never really played cod, or warzone or anything like that. I've been thinking about playing this game lately, i would be trash bc I haven't played any games at all in a while, let alone shooter games like this, so do you think it's worth it for me?

The redicl stays centered. Most dont understand why that's so important to MKB players... It's amazing. Gun play feels awesome
Controller players too. Also less AA is so nice.
Not to mention the ability to reset your prestige like it was the first time playing the game, i did this 4 times in one game lol.
The balancing is as follows: the game matches 3 types of players. 2 on each team of lower experience, 2 with moderate, and 2 with better players. Mark said this himself in an interview. It is not SBMM more so it's closer to EOMM but still different. Amazing to find out COD has been using AI and not actual SBMM for years as well, lots of things have been happening since the release of this game.

i'm ngl i've been having fun with the game, but there are some serious problems. the servers suck, i've died behind walls 1,000 times, the game is BARE BONES. they've been working on this game for 3 years and it feels like something they cooked up in the last 6 months. they NEED to add new weapons, some kind of score/killstreaks, and for the love of god fix the servers and hit reg.
Ya 3 years for this seems kind off crazy. I think most of the Dev time went into fixing all the issues but we still have a ton of them 😂. In do time…
Netcode is mostly crossplay related. Many consoles run on wifi so just turn off crossplay

1:55 this really is a problem that isn't talked about enough when it comes to this game. I see no point of advertising that your game has no SBMM if the only people who are playing it are ex COD sweats (which is what ive been encountering in my games). This game kinda needs a decent sized playerbase that appeals to both all types of FPS players including casuals, if not then in some ways it really won't be that different from modern COD when it comes to matchmaking

I like when you're in a full party the games are definitely sweatier than what I played solo it's felt that way for the last 2 days with my friends what I was playing solo I was on a 6 game streak what the squad we can barely manage a two game streak win

There is no sbmm in the game, the players that are sweaty cod players are just players who have been being punished for years playing against the top 10%. I’m always at the top of the leaderboard every game because I’m just good at fps games. You go up against good players, and you go up against bad players. The only people thinking there is sbmm are the ones who have been having it easy in cod while I’m destroying every lobby of xdefiant because every cod lobby was a mlg tournament

I just want to say this out loud there's already been a statement saying that we are not getting a BR I repeat we are not there's already been an article about it Mark Rubin already stated that he is only focusing on the 6v6 he already also stated that he doesn't want to have the same mistake as cod were there too many game modes in its hard to please everyone so he's just focusing on the 6V6. And honestly I'm sick and tired of BR anyway but that's just my opinion also when it comes to sandbox game modes I don't mind much

My general consensus is that the game is fun, but it lacks so much identity. Granted the game is in preseason, but it feels like the only thing really going for it other than it's simplistic nature is the lack of a feature, that being SBMM. Even with the lack of SBMM as my boy stern explained, the game feels like it needs SBMM as most of the playerbase is cod players looking for a casual playing experience. I won't be too hard on the game seeing as it's free and in preseason, however I fear the game will not hold up season one, and the next cod installment will just over throw it. Trust me, I want it to succeed and provide a completely refreshing experience, but ultimately the game falls flat for me, as a person with over 20 hours in it. I just feel zero reason to play it rn.
Ya we’re going to have to see what the future holds for the game. Content is lacking but even with a lack of content I’m really enjoying the game.

i feel like to many contant creators see this game as a "COD" game. newsflash this is not COD, its Xdefient. a hole separate game... i used to play cod games, then i stoped enjoying them. and i realy hate BR games. but i kanda do enjoy xdefient. tune down snipes, maybe slightly decrease TTK, Fix netcode issues, movement needs adressing (bunnyjump slide to change direction mid air kinda stuff) and i feel the time to unlock weapon attachments is to high. the biggest problem with killstreaks is that ppl start to camp and stay away from the objective to get the steak up. like you need 3 more kills to get "chopper gunner". then you stay back to try to farm those last kills. K/D ratio matters to much for a lot of ppl. in xdefient its kinda hard just to get a avg 2 k/d. and i see that as a good thing.

People come around the corner already shooting at me before I can even see them lol I wish weapons would level up a bit faster since I’m getting blasted stupid quick and their damage is way higher. I haven’t played CoD since the original MW2. I like this game but for now just going to keep getting wrecked

@@sternwardboss oh I know I suck 😂 I’m looking up videos and such which is how I got here. It’s smooth and I enjoy the gameplay, last FPS I was super good at was battlefield 3 and I was pretty legit in battlefield 1. Whole different style here. That and I’m only maybe 10 matches deep and level 7. I won’t bail on it since I like the vibe of the Ubisoft games coming together. Love the division, the wildlands/breaking point, and splinter cell series and that alone makes me want to progress

R6 and OG cod have the best movement and raw skill is more important there than just knowing how to abuse a game mechanic like bhopping.
B hopping creates a bigger skill gap. You could be hop in older Cod games just no one did it lol

I hope this game continues to grow and improve even with the launch of black ops 6 and I hope call of duty developers are taking notes and have the balls to get rid of sbmm and the gunsmith system. It's OK to be wrong but to double and triple down on mistakes just makes your community lose faith.
Unfortunately SBMM is never going to go away in Cod. I think the player base will drop pretty heavy with Black Ops 6 but it’ll jump back up once people get tired of playing million Dollar tournaments in pub matches 😂
@@sternwardboss money talks. The whole reason they tried sbmm in the first place was to ease in a younger and less skilled player base to increase revenue. If they lose a substantial amount of their concurrent base and sbmm is one of the main driving forces behind it, than I believe that they'll make any switch necessary to maintain their cash cow.
Coming from Console Apex, the standard aim assist still feels very strong. I set it all the way down to -10.

@sothegoat4205 the hit reg is definitely an issue at the moment and also some desync where you get killed after going behind cover, but the devs are currently working on that so I guess that we will just have to wait and see on that.

I have gotten killed from behind a wall so many times. And I’m not talking like oh I’m complaining cause I died. No blatantly dying from behind a wall. this type of game is a serious adjustment for me. Im watching videos of players getting into gunfights. I get deleted so much before I can even get into a gunfight
Could be a net code issue. It happened to me when I tried it. Got into a gunfight, went behind and wall and died. It has some issues with hit detection and net code apparently. It’s not my kind of game so I uninstalled anyway.
Ya I don’t really have that issue. I do yes but it’s few and far between. I think my server location is good and others not so much. They’re actively fixing it though💪🏼

That’s the problem with COD. They don’t give multiplayer or campaign the love it needs because they spread their playerbase and resources too thin.

There’s no other battle Royale games that let’s you bring your own guns into the game because of balancing issues. The attachments give bad explanation and scale higher then they tell you also ten snipers are bad and headshot multiplier damage is to high compared to torso

XD is not like COD, its more like overwatch or lawbreakers really in its gameplay. Its the first week and all the tubers are "lovin it", but when the honeymoon phase is over and they've played it to death we'll see where the game ends up. For me, its free, its kinda fun, its somethin different to play when I'm bored of other stuff but I liked Splitgate and Rogue Company better, they are faster and more fluid to me.

You saying they could’ve made a BR and still give everything else shows how unconsidered you are for developers you think is that easy to create new content every season and come up with an extra giant map plus content for a BR experience, that is exactly why COD is killing it self now a days, because they keep recycling old content so that they can say they got “new” content for both BR and multiplayer when they are clearly STRUGGLING to even create new content at all
You clearly didn’t game back in the day. Games use to have WAY more content then we have now 😂. It’s not the devs fault. It’s their publishers micromanaging every cent that goes into their games. Ya it’s a big issue for a lot of servers. My servers have been pretty good. Lucky I guess. They actively working on the issue so it should be fixed soon or at least better.

i don't really like xdefiant but this video feels very biased in completely weird ways, complaining about the lack of a BR or Ground war type mode is ridiculous because the game wasn't ever trying that and most gamers are burnout on it, especially BR. But then you blow off the movement critics by saying anything will feel worse than COD and Titanfall, which while true doesn't explain why far cry, developed by ubisoft too, has significantly better gunplay and movement (it doesn't feel like there are 30 people on your back pulling you away when you walk forward) and the gunplay in this is just not on the level of cold war, I give it like a month and then this guy will be off the game.
People can like the game and can play it for years if they enjoy it, but making up completely non-existent criticisms and ignoring actual ones will cause a games downfall, something similar i said about helldivers when people ignored all the bugs and told every to stop talking about them because they wanted content, now the games falling off.
TLDR all of it. People can also have their own opinions. I also didn’t bring up the bugs because they’re actively working on them.

Br would be terrible. Streaks would be terrible. This is an objective based, team based hero shooter. You have hero abilities, you have an ultimate. Streaks would RUIN this game. Also, there is no lack of content and there won't be any lack of content. Think about it. Every map, every gun, ever character is from an already existing Ubisoft game. There is possibility for almost ENDLESS content. Because all the devs have to do is pull things from games that they have already made and slap them in xDefiant. Which is exactly what the game is. Just a mix of multiple Ubisoft games put together into a 6v6 arena hero shooter.
Also the aim assist is extremely strong on controller in my opinion.

I agree, killstreaks will just end up with more people camping to get as many kills as possible and not pushing obj, I think that it's quite refreshing that people are actually playing the game and not caring about camping in order to get killstreaks.

I’m glad you’re enjoying the game, but your negative points just don’t line up with the what the game is going for, and to be quite honest, your ideas on having a crazy sandbox mode is a bit naive and sounds like something a little kid dreams up in his spare time. This game has already been in development for quite some time and it just sounds like something annoying someone from top management in publishing would tell the devs to add just because it sounds cool without really adding much to the games core gameplay loop. Same goes for BR. I’m sick and tired of BRs and looting. Just give me a fun arena shooter without all the extra bullshit. And FUCK killstreaks. This is an OBJECTIVE based game, and killstreaks promote camping and not going for objective just so you can see your k/d go up.
You can still have the regular 6v6… why would adding a sandbox mode effect that? Just don’t play it. It’s simple. I don’t get that argument. Also the Sasquatch and alligators was a joke lol

If they don't do something soon they will just be another cod copy for allowing such weak hardware detectors to allow players to just act like they are truly good in a game they have no skills in.

Your need to constantly have numbers going up for ranks is sad... the game should be fun regardless... I have played the same Dark Souls 3 character for 4 years... i've not leveled him up, i've improved his gear, I just PVP friends, New Game + once a or twice a year, and that's it.

No they don’t and I’m fine with them not being in the game. I think something similar would be cool. Something to reward you for a kill streak. It would have to be balanced for this game though obviously
XDefiant is a bad game. I don’t understand the Black Ops and OG comparisons. The movement and gunplay is awful.

A BR mode....really. come on bro! Keep that crap in CoD where it belongs. All a mode like that would do is draw in cheaters. Thisbgane is a simple version of what it could be and hopefully it stays that way. If thus game explodes then every piece of shit Warzone creator is gonna come here and along with them cones millions of simps....and all the Warzone cheating drama...then thus game will end up in the toilet just like CoD. This game is fantastic and it shouldn't change a thing.

@@sternwardboss im not on next gen im mainly a mobile gamer. lots of good mobile games. cod, warzone, pubg, fortnite is coming, and other games ive not even tried yet. lots of brs. now that battlefield type mode would b awesome. when bf drops the ball there is nothing that competes with large player with vehicles. not a br. even though i like brs. or add the br. but we need a bf type of experience. and not mw19 ground war.

XDefiant isn’t original it’s just a carbon copy that’s why it will fail ultimately. It’s nothing unique and it’s nothing rewarding about the game or the matches. You go on streaks okay a medal what else……nothing. BORING. There is nothing to make u want to keep playing or come back and play.
That’s why I’m suggesting they do something more. I love the game for what it is but you’re right. In the end it’ll have a huge fall off and a small player base if they don’t add something more.
