- We're into week 2 of XDefiant and while it's a classic arcade shooter, there's still plenty we're learning as we go and by extension of trial and error, plenty of mistakes we're still making that we can absolutely fix... Today, I wanted to run down 14 big mistakes you could be making and how to correct them so that you come out the other side a better, more informed player and hopefully, that it can make your playing experience more enjoyable. I’ve been using EMP grenades for about a week and haven’t gone back. It’s the only counter to abilities
100% I’ve been using, Emps with dead sec hacker , it is the absolute goat imo, throw on a M16 for the ghost recon mfs health pool ,and no op has much to out play you or a health advantage as m16 melts them.
Not all of them necessarily need counters though, like you can easily just shoot down the placed barriers
What abilities do the emp grenades counter?
@@ajnewkid4845from what I’ve seen, they cancel the cloak suit and scout radar. They also completely kill the sonar goggles ULT. They kill the health abilities and ULT as well, can’t say for the other operators/factions.

Tip #1, don't get old. I am 63 years old, I simply cannot keep up with younger players. There is slow and there is old slow 😁

Echelon is too OP. Intel suit needs a nerf. Maybe change to a UAV instead of a wallhack.

I wish they could have a 24/7 version of Arena that would be amazing. Arena, Showtime, and Pueblito are my favorite maps. There’s only a few I actually dislike but like 75% of the maps are either above average or really good

the respawn in hotspot is simply awful, it doesnt make sense for me.

Getting wrapped around corners is the biggest complaint
After controller and video settings adjusted, it's awesome! Fast pace and rewarding! So much to look forward to as its a new release are the updates, like team deathmatch, new maps and new guns

Here is another tip, if you're playing occupy or domination and you're looking to take a hill. Combo your ultimates! If you have a friend who is running phantoms and their ult is ready, save yours till you really need to make a play. Push together, pop your ults and stand in the phantom bubble. Its unbelievably free. Just mind the nades (until we get a trophy system)
I don't have friends though😭😭😭... Anyways I do hope trophy systems aren't added though... The amount of successful 'nade kills I have is insane

I’m glad you talked about headshots I’m so sick of hearing people complain and say, “my bullets aren’t registering” and they are shooting someone on the leg while they get shot on the head

Yeah same here. Ive been using the M249 so it kinda forces me to play slower. But i like to play objectives and sometimes sprint my death lol.

A good tip is to aim down sight and place the mag shield further away from you so you can get out of starting point in escort.

Xdefiant is lit, it’s so fun to play, love the maps
The only maps I dislike are dumbo, emporium, and nudleplex. I could be biased though because I exclusively play occupy since that’s the mode where I can get the most kills possible.
It’s also not just me because most lobbies all vote against those particular maps the vast majority of the time. I wish they could have a 24/7 version of Arena that would be amazing. Also for some reason I really like Pueblito but I can’t explain why it just plays better for me
@@pricklycats I like Nudleplex, it’s one of my favourites, must be the Google Like campus and imagery that does it.

Need the ranked mode. Yall got to get players like me out of pubs, i run it down and put up 50-70kills per game and about a 3.0 KD every game.. First time i have been able to Pub stomp in 10years. Its refreshing.
As someone who doesn't enjoy the iron sights in this game is there 1 attachment that could be left out over others in place of a reflex sight in your opinion?
Love the emp grenades to shut down professionals, but after unlocking dedsec I’ve only really been using stickies, as theoretically infinite grenades per life is pretty nasty. And i just love the stickies tbf.

i play solo and go for high kill games, deadsec with mines is extremely helpful to watch a flank, it saved me so many times on dumbo when i was on the scaffolding shooting into their spawn and they would try to come up the stairs behind me

I can vouch, this game feels exactly like the beta.
And, Season One doesn't launch for 30 days, and this game is already pretty dry...
I want it to succeed, but respectfully, I'm seeing some red flags. The hitreg is fucking wild for a released game.
I hate that almost every gun has absolutely abysmal iron sights and needs a red dot on it. Oh and Attica heights that map is dog shit

The only two guns I like running with iron sights is the m60 and mk with the epic skin

Actually like that map, its goated for ded sec and cleaners, dont like zoo though. Little too inconsistent for my taste
One thing I only realised today is that when running Libertad faction with Biovida Boost, it displays a cross above any team-mates who are in need of healing. It's especially helpful in objective modes, as you can help support players taking or holding the objective. Not so helpful if you're playing solo in hotshot though, as I kept dying trying to reach team-mates tearing around the map 😂
it tells u where people r being shot too so its not that bad in hotshot
I’ve played on PC all my life but recently switched to console. Obviously, right now I about as good at fps games, as when I was 10 years old on PC… Any tips for learning to aim with a controller? It also looks like most good players have their sensitivity really high, while I’ve been playing on a relatively low sensitivity over the past few weeks…
Those of us that dont use cheats try not to pride ourselves on how good we are at video games. Love when team mates dog you for being trash but what they dont understand is most of us trash players have full time jobs amd families and cant play 10 hrs a day to get better and we pride our selves on our accomplishments in real life not a game

thanks for explaining that the netcode is still screwed up, the amount of times I dies by getting hit after getting clearly behind cover is astounding to be honest. bullet registering sometimes feel off but on the corners is so goddamn clear, I thought I was going crazy cause anyone just replies with 'it's you brah get better'

If your trying to maximize your score, you should only be running the faction phantoms with the bullet shield. No other faction can get even close to the passive support score that phantom can get
so you're the obnoxious shield guy I'm always dealing with... you make me mad.. lmao
this is why i run emps plus the hack bs, all these shield mfs already annoying with 120 hp and u have shields L

Any idea when they are going to fix the ping issues only game where I go from 60ping in game to 700ping lobby and have to wait like 5min for it to go back down to 60 but when it works it’s fun
i highly recommended mines as a solo, if u put mines on the stairs leading up (not the scaffolding but inside) on Dumbo, all you have to do is watch one way and you can peak mid… dropped 78 kills on dom just spawn trapping
Play around teammates, so often I see players trying to solo hold an objective verses 4 opponents when they could have waited just 3 seconds for the rest of their team to show up. Numbers advantage is really important in coming out on top in fights.
What I've learnt so far is achelon is the best class for snipers so far
My aim assist setting is grayed out and stuck on off. Any fix? I play pc with ps5 elite controller using dsx application.
Quick mag on vector instead of extended imo, reloads so quick and I gives an extra 5 which makes it enough to kill 3 at closer range
What is the best counter to the intel suit. I know popping the dedsec ult will cancel everyone’s ability. But that intel suit needs to be countered. I can tell you how often I run in to 4-5 people using it. All I see on my screen is revealed by intel suit
if you can hit them with an empty grenade, it cancels if using/disables the ability to use it
I definitely slide and jump most of time but sometime to be more accurate and precise I sprint to fire to calm the gameplay down a bit and rack up some easy pics, my kd a 1.50 right now n thats low for me usually im 2.0, bo4 was my highest at 3.50
i find a mistake playing when there's no double weapon exp, game is fun tho, definitely gonna finish up the rest of 20 battlepass levels before pre season over.
I don't ever see anyone other than myself use the M16A4, it absolutely shreds at any range, especially with the 3x scope. The only gun that competes is the MP7 and super close range, but even then it's 50/50 in my experience. That gun needs more love, it's helping me keep at least a 2 k/D every game

I sprint so much I can't tell you how many EMPs i've seen but I for sure know that I am 1. going to run them now and 2. I will complain about everyone else using them.........Yes this is healthy I'm having a very fun 2008/9 vibey feel thing going on hahahahaha cheers.
Still learning the game, struggling with the slide on kbm coming from csgo.
The game is fun, esp. with my old ryzen 1200, it can just handle it @ 60fps avg, stopped playing cod warzone coz of unnecessary lags, this is much more polished and fun and with abilities there is twist.

Emps are nice for Shield spammers, but the sticky can get a lot of kills. I usually switch mid game if I need to

I am struggling against Snipers. When I see them at a range, it's too late and I'm dead. If I see them up close, they quick scope me and I'm dead. It's frustrating. Any tips?
Use snipers. Thats what I did, it’s cheese

snipers are bugged atm, they’re supposed to have much more flinch
They’re definitely strong but also you don’t see bots running around quick scoping everyone like in cod lol. You have to be pretty decent to do well against AKs and ACRs with a sniper. Once they fix the flinch it will be very balanced imo

I haven’t been good at a FPS since battlefield 3. I was okay on 4 and 1. Since then I haven’t played any…and jumping on this game is getting my cheeks throughly clapped but I do have some fun still

Big tip for y’all doing bad is stick to the left or right side of the map and don’t go in the middle and you will go positive and get way more kills once I changed this I started to go positive every game

Maybe my local bavarian playerbase is trash, but im having way more 2-3kd games in xdefiant compared to mw3. The overall 1.5kd isn’t different but i enjoy the possibility of stomping bad players in xd
Why does it feel like that game is slower than on Pc? Is that on PlayStation?
I use emp grenades. And deadsec bc it recharges your grenades. So any abilities on the other team are useless obviously not the ult
I like deadsec too because of the grenade recharge
I’ve been using mp7 high recoil high damage it’s not to hard to learn to control it melts short and at range it’s a laser

The net code is bad, plus the health regen is a little slow so I always chase people down when they run bc someone else can easily steal the kill bc they’re most likely 1 shot

walk ability isn't as OP as its seems , playing a lot as Echellon class as a spoter , when i meet good players , i get wiped ^^
You forgot another mistake, when your teammate is on pace for 100 kills get off the objective in occupy. I’ve had 90-98 kills 7x with so much more time left standing in arena to get 100
All I’m saying is my first gold weapon is gonna be the sentex 😂 😂
Im always fighting against 5 shields every gunfight. Suurre you are. So evwey gunfight is a team using all the same ability and its a 1v5?
The recoil is nothing with side strafe. Build mobilty and move. Slide cancel jump corners and destroy.
Yeah when they get it better than 1 out of 5 games having decent hit registration then I’ll play it again, I’m currently not playing this season of COD either cause it sucks

Should of been 15… Pistols can be your get out of jail card if you’ve the slightest bit of movement skill, even without though, the speed difference can be the difference between getting out with your life or respawning.
I want to like this game, but the bunnyhopping is so annoying, also, why does it take 6 headshots to do 1/3 of someone's hp, but they can OHK me from across the map with an smg?

I always play every game mode like team deathmatch😭 I mean I’ll do the objectives if I’m there and it’s feasible but I just run around and just drop high kills, if your not drop 28+ kills a game thin your not helping your team enough to be running around, do the objective, got to pick one (obviously you can do both) usually best for people to just pick one
You can get high kills and play objective. I drop 30+ kills every game and still play objective the entire game. Most people will be rushing the objectives anyway so if you can get 5+ kills defending the objective before dying, you'll have a bunch of kills in no time.
