1972 a big year for me ,because that's the year I was born 😊 I even have audience recording of Elvis on stage the day I was delivered :Red Hot in Vegas august 23 1972 ,I not sure what outfit he wore during that show ,maybe its in the Davis book? Thank's for the video👍 Have a great week my friend
Hey brother, amazing to be able to hear an Elvis concert from the day you entered the world! Nothing specific about which jumpsuits were worn on which dates in the Davis book though I'm afraid. Have a great week too!
Interesting food for thought there Paul, do you reckon he'd have ended up in big shoulder pads and sleeves rolled up to the elbows like many did during that decade?
More great stuff I've never seen. I wonder if Elvis arrived fully dressed for his shows just before the start was due to stage fright. Perhaps he wanted to be where he could relax, i.e., away from the venue, for as long as possible.
Thanks David, I think you're probably on to something there. Be a bit of an issue if something got spilled on the jumpsuit on the journey, especially the white ones. Would need to be a 100-foot exclusion zone for anyone carrying tomato ketchup!
Great Video Sean 😃 72 was a great year for Elvis ....lots of highs ✨️ And maybe the start of some of the lows ( pending divorce) ! Looking forward to the rest of your 72 series! Just seen this video.. Cheers 🎙🎶🥂
Thanks Paul, glad you enjoyed it. Yes, 73 certainly represents a tangible shift from the previous few years. All being well, I'll be recording the episodes for that particular year tomorrow. Have a great weekend 👍🏻
72 was great. I think it's the last year he looked 'cool Elvis', and sadly his deteriation both musically and physically took hold in 73 and on. I include Aloha in that where he barely moved and lacked his previous dynamism
Definitely agree that 73 signalled the beginning of a decline Brian, but as Aloha was right at the very beginning of that year, I've always put the relative stiffness of the performance(s) down to nerves at the sheer magnitude of what was being achieved
I agree Steve, it's a pity he dropped the idea of jackets and shirts so quickly, although there was the variant that appeared in 75 with fancy designs over the shoulders, but then they didn't last long either
I agree with this. I imagine Elvis was growing tired of the jumpsuits around the time he died. He wasn't doing the karate moves on stage any more because he wasn't well enough, so he didn't need that style of clothing. Smart jacket with fitted black pants and shirt like he wore at his rehearsals in the later years would have suited him so much better.

@Kees-t8h Hey Kees, you're welcome my friend, thanks for watching!
He looked great in both the jumpsuits and the two pieces , would have been interesting to see how he dressed in the 80's ?

I wish that he had moved away from the jumpsuits, as he grew bigger they didn't help.
