You don’t understand how to operate the prop brake correctly. You must ensure the prop brake has hydraulic pressure and the ‘ready’ light is illuminated, from there you can engage or disengage as appropriate.

In real life you’d do the walk around and then head in to take the hotel mode
Edit: don’t stand behind eng 2 exhaust when in hotel mode
He is a real good source for knowledge of the ATR, but as a voice for Fs2crew, i would choose someone else then Magnar as a FO

Don't buy this aircraft. The prop brake is all effed up. You'll regret it. It's too bad because this is a great aircraft otherwise.
