Great video, thank you. We are renewing our limited TL this year. I have found registering and paying the cruising tax on line very simple.

Hi Guys. Great video, very informative. Frankly, Next Sailboat I get, I'm going to Avoid the Meditteranean like the Plague - as I did it to Death many Decades ago, before everything Became a total Bureaucratic PITA and the prices of everything Rocketed Up. I was tempted to buy an Ex Charter boat Tax Not Paid, and Get it as fast as possible to the BVI and Register it there - very Easy as a British zsubject, and the Log of the Voyage would be enough to Refresh my ICC - or if interested in doing anything Professionally, my Yachtmaster Offshore Ticket - as I was Grandfathered in to all of that useless Bureaucratic Crap. Believe it or not, but possibly due to going Bald Very Young, I have never been asked to produce Sailing qualifications - though when in the USA buying my last boat, in 2016 I did do the Qualifications there - which were very good - mostly to drum in things like Red Buoy Reterning, plus pronounce it the weird American way, as I was sniggering too much when They said it - Boo Eee lol😄 great people though, and they didn't take offence, as long as I bought the next Round. Now, I think I'll take advantage of the Co ING Boat Price Collapse, and buy something tax paid in the UK, spand Provisionally Register it in the BVI, then finalise RegistrationnCompletion when I get there, though a British Surveyor could do the finalising here for me. I have to be Cattib3an Based for up to 5 years sorting my health out, and the BVI will be an excellent Base to Cruse the Caribbean from imho, then up to Massachusetts for Hurricane Season. Seems like a Plan anyway. Keep Up The Great Work. Best Wishes. Bob in Wales still skint at the moment. If I make it across the pond, by then I should be able to contribute some Support, and Amy Chance you'll cross the Pond for some serious Rum Sampling ?😅 🌟🌟🌟👍❤️

Hi Bob, We are probably not going to cross for a few years. We have a few things to sort out first. BTW we just heard that the greek authorities have launched an app or are about to so that you can self log in to each port... Typical after we do all the leg work.

@@SVImpavidus as you say typical indeed. I must admit that I miss the old Mediterranean ease of travel- heck you could travel everywhere with a cheap immediately over the counter visitors passport from the Post Office, and most places weren’t even close to being a Rip Off - things like free drinks to attract customers, with things like Free Champagne until one in the morning in Clubs, and we have all forgotten just how cheap it is to brew beer and Distill Spirits. You probably won’t believe this, but after catching a Nasty tummy bug in Tunisian in 1969, we sailed into Ibiza Old Town, and one of the girls on board was a Nurse, and she told me to buy as much Brandy as I could carry, to get things manageable, So I Bought a 12 bottle Crate of Benedictine Brandy for the equivalent of under 4 shillings and 11 pence, or about 24 pence in New Fake Money which replaced the real money. So visiting the Med now, for me, really rubs it in just how much we have lost since then. I still like visiting GiB though tbh. Lots of fond memories there. Then frankly, from GiB miss out Madeira and the Canary Islands now, and Sail straight to Cape Verde, and get ready to cross there. Believe it or not, I’m now pining for another Atlantic Crossing tbh. Best Wishes to you Both, and hoping to meet up for a meal and some drinks sometime. Bob. 🤔🌟🌟🌟👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧❤️⛵️

Informative post. Wanted to download the documents and became patreon - only to realise, there is no download 😢. Message on Patreon asking about was ignored/not answered. Not sure what to think about that…

Bottom line. Don’t even think about taking any boat anywhere near Greek waters.

@@SVImpavidus Theres a boat for sale in Greece I have been interested in. Me, non EU British, I literally do not know how if legally purchasing this boat is even possible, based on the bureaucracy you described. I was wanting to buy the boat, go over to Turkey for a while, then go direct to the UK. I thought the lack of British registration was just the only problem, but no, now theres VAT issues and all the rest of the stuff involved. If a country puts up so many hurdles, to trade and travel, then I take that as a sign they do not want either. Which is fine. I will take my business elsewhere.

The NoForeignLand Link has a colon : on the end of the url causing a linking error.
Checking into Greece on a sailboat sounds far too simple, needs more complexity.
