Imagine that she taught herself by listening to performances and copying that, no training, no coach, just raw talent ... and yes she is still performing. Really love love love your reaction as usual, and all the details you provide.
Do not imagine it. it's true! She started listen to youtube because she wanted something to do like her brother. (Who was playing the violin at that moment.) So she found opera on youtube, loved it and started to sing it. With no help of a profesional singing coach she did this! Incredible!
@@oliviawutam That is excactly what one of the judges said. Before she started singing he asked her if it would be safe without earplugs, she said yes and afterwoth he asked her (she was only 9 back then) if she knew what it ment to have a old soul. He was with no doubt flabergasted about her preformance, specialy when he heard that she taught it to her self.... My god who can sing like this without a old soul or teach your self like this...
What a professional and incredible reaction. This is the best reaction I have ever seen for Amira's Ave Maria. As a matter of fact, when Chantel, one of the three judges in her first audition asked who was her singing teacher, her expression was a bit at a loss, and then she hesitated for a while before replying that I was learning to sing opera on U tube.
She had no classical training at the time of this show. She learned the song from You tube videos. Since winning Holland Got talent she has had significant training and she is amazing.
On her audition which was a month or so before this, she explained to the judges that she had no teacher, but had taught herself from watching opera singers on you tube. There is a YT film of her doing this called This self taught 11 year old will blow your mind. In the final of this talent show she sang a very good Nessun Dorma. Other notable pieces are Ave Maria Gomez, at the Canisus church aged 11. (Mind blowing!). Nella Fantasia at Africaans is groot aged 12. Amazing Grace aged 13. Gabriellas song at 14. Sound of music medley at 15 is fun. Last year, aged 16 she streamed a concert including I walk with God and Virgine degli angeli (?? Spelling??) 17 now. Still singing around school work and pandemics. She has had coaching since the talent contest, there are quite a lot of video examples on YT. Most are pretty impressive. She is much loved for her charitable work as well as her vocal abilities.
Holland is crazy about Amira. I could not believe my own eyes and ears while i was watching Holland got talent dat day!!!! In december we r going to see Amira in concert here in Nederland only this time with my daughter (6y) ! She listens to Amiras music every day before she goes to school:) Awesome!!! Can't wait!
I've followed Amira from the beginning and was amazed to see I've never commented on your channel. A very belated thank you for your intelligent interest in her. Best wishes, Joe.
Amira has been singing most of her life. Starting at seven years old and possibly earlier. She had no training. She listened to singers and their songs, practiced and copied them. She came from a music oriented family. She is now around twenty three, has either five or six CD's and going strong. Her voice is top notch.
Amazing reaction, Jess! Oh my gosh! Amira had no teacher or coach until that time. She simply watched TH-cam videos of Maria Callas and Andrea Bocelli and tried to reproduce it herself. She has an excellent ear for knowing if she's on the right note. Her parents and her brother play piano and violin but don't sing. Her maternal grandparents sang classical music, which must be in her genes, I guess. She won Holland Got Talent and recorded a CD with Sony. Only then did she get her first coach. The CD went gold in a few weeks. She is now 17 years old and has a long career with top-notch video performances. Keep up the great work!
I think this was her 2nd appearance on Holland's got Talent, having got the golden ticket in her first audition - prior to which she had received no formal training at all, having taught herself from watching YT videos! Her heart is as big as her voice - she said in her first appearance that if she didn't become a singer she wanted to win a medal for her country in the Olympics, and she genuinely had the form to do so, regularly winning endurance races in the age bracket above her own (which may help explain her amazing breath control). Unfortunately, her fame has brought difficulties in long-distance training, as on the form she showed at an early age, she would have been the one to beat in world marathon competition at least through her 20s and possibly well into her 30s. Then after her success in the first round, she said that if she won, half her winnings would go to a charity to provide play opportunities in South Africa (where she now lives) as she'd seen on her visits to her grandparents there that in poorer areas there was nowhere for children to play. She kept her word and set up a foundation to administer it. She runs it, although formal paperwork still needs to be countersigned by her parents. And half of her income from performances still goes straight into it.
She had her very first vocal lesson, a master class with Andre Rieu before this performance. She basically learned this by listening to opera singers performances on you tube. There is an interview on you tube where she talks about how at each step she realized she needed to shape her mouth like she saw the performers on you tube. She listened and realized she was missing the vibrato so she taught herself how to do that. Basically she is and extremely bright girl who loved to sing classical music. I think she has a boatload of natural talent and works very hard to develope her craft. Really enjoyed your reaction. Hopefully you can do a lot more Amira. It's nice to hear from someone who is proficient and experienced in the genre who actually understands how difficult it is ti sing so we'll technically at such a young age. Amira is 17 years old now and is struggling to perform now due to Covid. Up until 2020 she performed in 2 or 3 large concerts. Then the public performances ended for everyone. She put together 2 streaming concerts, one in September of last year and a Christmas Concert in December 2020. Some of the songs and areas from those concerts are being released on you tube now but I would really recommend you follow her journey trough her younger years up till today. She has some amazing performances for a young girl that shouldn't be missed. I've been following her from the beginning and and I think she has a special talent and a rather unique voice. For your next reaction I would recommend her performance as a surprise special guest at Andre Rieus' concert in the big square in Maastricht, the Netherlands in front of 15,000 people. It took place in 2014, July I think. If you thought her composure and confidence were something to behold in this performance you won't believe how this little girl walks into that huge stage absolutely confident and brings most of the 15,000 people to tears and gets a raucus standing ovation. The performance with Rieu took place just about 6 months after she won Holland's Got Talent in December of 2013. To me the amount of progress she made in that relatively short period of time was stunning. She did produce bed first album, at the age of 9 between those 2 performances.. I will be very interested to hear your reaction to that performance. Here is the link...th-cam.com/video/s9PQ7qPkluM/w-d-xo.html
Indeed...And why did she get het masterclass from Anre Rieu....I heard Andre in an interview about it....He was at the moment of her first audition abroad and got called by a friend that he MUST listen to her rendering of o mio babbino caro ((This YT video, including interview in Dutch: th-cam.com/video/_NfnSgYqM4M/w-d-xo.html ) suppose Andre Rieu, who more often invade syoung star guest was as surprised as the jury was....and invited her immediatly for a concert and attendance to that masterclass.
She was 9 here. This was the semi final performance of Hollands Got talent 2013. It followed one Masterclass with Andre Reiu. He saw her Tryout of O Mio Babbino Caro. He offered it to her. In the tryout trained herself watching You Tubes. So, the tryout is a must see. Please grab the one with English subtitles,. I love this piece. Also, everything she has done. Might check out her Nessum Dorma 2017 with Classic is Groot
the climax high note alone shows many very good qualities. many adult and trained singers fail to achieve this free, spinning, brilliant sound that is not shreaky at all.
Enjoyed your comments. So many great videos out there on young Amira. She is older now and just as good or better, but it is always such a shock when you see her at a young age (9 to 12) when you hear that immense voice coming from a child. Magic really. She initially started singing Opera by watching and copying what she heard on You Tube videos. The performance you just heard, she had very little in the way of vocal training. She is still going strong at age 17. Amira and her family left the Netherlands and moved to South Africa in 2018. Her mother was born in South Africa and grew up there. The mom had moved to the Netherlands when she got married.
I can't stop watching your analysis. Knowing the technique behind her singing, while listening to her singing, it must be what heaven sounds like. You have already amassed a hugh following for this video, and its just the beginning for Amira's career. It just gets better from here. I never get tired of listening to her sing.
There are female singers all over the world who are good at singing, but even among them, Amira is not a singer created by humans. People are fascinated and get goosebumps and shed tears. Amira is special.
She is still singing. Born in the Netherlands she moved to South Africa in 2018. It was wonderful to see your face and to hear you speak of Amira and her Gift - her talent. She also has a heart of Gold. She began a charitable foundation at a tender age. The foundation builds playgrounds for kids in South Africa. South Africa and the world has been richly blessed by this pure soul. Thanks again for your very informative analysis. God Bless!
Thanks for bringing her up. Her family were musicians, and she self-taught herself from YT, in order to perform for the Queen's birthday at some local event. She was improving year by year, since.
This was a girl who quite literally learned by listening to others on TH-cam. If you want to see what training an coaching has done in these insuring years simply find her on TH-cam and listen to her more resent performances. Today she's 18 going on 19 this month and what you said about her professionalism is taking hold in a stunning way! Hers is a talent which will being opera to her generation and beyond!
😱😱😱 Goosebumps all over my body!!! I can’t believe what I listened… in the body of a little girl is the experience and technique of a grown woman!!!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 That was… I… what can I say… just go and play it! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Thank you, Jess!!! 👌🏼👌🏼
What is she doing, oh my, everything all over the world. Actually moved from Holland to South Africa, sings for Andre Reiu and several venues, and yes she is growing up too!! You are not going to believe this but she is singing better now, so you can just imagine how good she is today!!
Wonderful reaction!!!!! Welcome to what I hope is just the start of your journey of discovery with Amira. I found her a little over a year ago and, well, the day is not complete without listening to at least some of her songs. Some comments: 1. When she sang this she had had NO formal training.--not even basic voice lessons. She listened to opera on youtube (mainly Maria Caras( and just imitated the sound until she got it "right." Yes, she figured out on her own how to get that vowel sound on the "a" you were describing. 2. She sometimes closes her eyes not because of the audience--she is NOT frightened or nervous, she loves to sing before people--but because singing makes her feel like she is floating, as on a trampoline. She made that comment on a documentary. 3. She is still singing today at the ripe old age of 17!--her last release was an online concert this Christmas. Please, please watch the next video in her journey: two days after singing Ave Maria on the semifinals, she sang Nessun Dorma on the finals to win the contest. Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/dy00lD2bYT0/w-d-xo.html I have subscribed and look forward to more of your reactions!!! Thanks again!!!!
Firstly, hats off to you for what was the most informative reaction with your detailed observations of Amira’s delivery in this magnificent performance, especially for a nine year old with absolutely zero singing lessons or voice training. Yes, Amira is still performing , & listed below are a few performances for your reaction consideration. I have given her age with each performance which are in date order for your reaction convenience. …. … Ave Maria by Gomez at the Canisius Church. ( age 11 ). This is a completely different song to the one you’ve just reacted to. Note the passion & power in this performance. …. … Nella Fantasia ( age 12 ). Please react to the live concert performance. …. … Gabriella’s Song ( age 13 ). Again the live concert performance. …. … Flower Duet ( age 14 ). The performance with Corlea Botha …. … Sound of Music medley ( age 15 ). Amira sings about one octave above the original by Julie Andrews and nails it. This is just a sprinkle of what is available for reactions, and sincerely hope to hear more reactions to Amira in the very near future, as I just love your intelligent, intellectual style. ps. I have now subscribed to your Chanel & hit the “bell “ Cheers, Graeme.
Yes... Definitely the Gomez Ave Maria... I think that performance is Amira at her young lost totally in the song... I would be very interested to hear what an opera singer thought if that performance. At the time it was a real leap for Amira.. having just performed on the Christmas tv show only a day after returning from Reykjavik where she performed that equally amazing and mesmerizing Ave Maria.. I didn't find her Caruso last year at all disappointing.. but I'm not qualified to comment technically. I loved it. I never heard that Amira herself was disappointed in her performance... nor did it ever occur to me that she would prefer to be singing Beyonce??? Where did she make these statements??
Graeme I have joined you with a subscription as well. This woman is very inciteful. We all know Amira is the stuff but I really appreciate hearing what she doing. Just from that comment about the internal space what are we to conclude. Amira must have a musical ear of vocal legends. Did she just stumble on to how to do this? It would make more sense that she did this by trial and error. But how ? She must said to herself that she wasn’t replicating what she heard until she did that technique. This really speaks to the theory that Amira is “musical genius” of some kind along with her other obvious gifts.
@@ronsterbenz8648 Thanks for your detailed post Ron. Yes, I agree. 2 things do stand out. Firstly , Amira’s unbelievable understanding of voice control & secondly, this Reactor is so far ahead of most other reactors who basically pander to us, the viewers, in reacting in a way that they think will please is. We need a truthful reaction from those with music experience & a good understanding of all music genres & this wonderful Reactor does it superbly. I sincerely hope she follows up with more Amira reactions. It’s a pity that more reactors aren’t even aware that such a brilliant, once in a lifetime performer by the name of Amira Willighagen even exists & it is so difficult to convince them to even consider a reaction. Good to chat with you, Cheers, Graeme
@@graemeblackburn7511 I am with you on all counts. This woman has done one reaction and she is already my favorite for reasons that you said. I’m not sure that other reactor video folks are even able to notice these things. Amira is indeed one for the ages because the more you drill down the richer it gets.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 She is too adorable. And, that voice! I love that vibrato. And I've definitely learnt some things about vowel placement from her (and your analysis). Lol. Definitely looking forward to more from this singer. 🙃
I have been a fan of Amira since her first presentation on HGT and after having seen her last presentations on the internet, it seems to me that she was better when she sang following her musical instinct and not so closely linked to traditional techniques, except when it comes to control of respiration. But she is still extraordinary.
Wonderful reaction, Jess! First one of yours I have seen, so I'll have to look for more. Hopefully you will do more of Amira, but I see that others have recommended my favourites already so I won't take up space by adding more. Thank you for your excellent technical analysis, it's very helpful!
That she is self taught via YT is beyond beyond. I assume she has training now. She has such a powerful resonance and emotes so effectively at such a young age. Her audition for Holland's got talent 2013 age 9 was O Mio Babbino. One of the most moving renditions of this iconic Aria.🥺
Amira was 20 on March 27 and is still singing, although now at university in South Africa. When she came back to the Netherlands to visit her father she walked into an empty church and sung Gesu Bambino with dad on the organ and a friend recording it on a mobile phone. She sang Nessun Dorma (2017) and the Flower Duet (with Corlea Botha) at the same concert in South Africa. Age 16 she sang La Vergine Degli Angeli. There was hope she could have represented SA in the Olympics, but sadly covid hit.
What a great reaction very informative. At that time Amira had no formal training she learned to sing from watching YT believe it or not. She is now 17 and has many songs on YT . I would love for you to do more reactions of her. She is now 17 and is phenomenal.
She had no teacher , at that moment. She is Dutch , but live now in South Africa. Since 2018. Her father is Dutch , her mother from South Africa. Nowadays she is a profesional singer.
I really loved the Flower duet (yellow dresses) it is so beautiful. They sing it so in sync. Their vibrato is in sync. And they are not overpowering each other. Very nicely done!!
I have seen this before and must say it's a really professional reaction, so well done. Amira has a very special tone to her voice and never over extended.
Amira hat noch so viele schöne Lieder. Bitte alle ansehen es lohnt sich. Sie singt seit sie neun Jahre alt ist. Jetzt ist sie ein Profi und die beste Sopranistin in der heutigen Zeit.
I'd recommend Amira's Sound of Music medley from 2019. Also, a couple of weeks ago she just released "When You Wish Upon a Star", which is a good recording to hear the nuances in her special voice and how it has matured (and, hopefully, been preserved). Amira is quite good at pronunciation, having grown up multilingual and having performed in (just off the top of my head) Dutch, English, Afrikaans, Swedish (a very hard language for non-natives, I'm told), Italian, and Latin (another comment which I can't find right now listed at least 10 languages).
Welcome to the Amira bandwagon. A lot of people doing reactions jump around and miss her growing up. I found that by following her presentations as she progressed, was much more enjoyable and I enjoyed each one, one by one. There are many outstanding performances ahead. Enjoy the ride.
Love your reaction. Amira is a ONE OF A KIND STUNNING UNIQUE GIRL ,SINGER and SOUL . My advice is to listen to her " Vergine Degli Angeli" version . She Will blow your socks off .
I like your reaction here and also to other singers like Dinash etc. It is a pitty that I do not find more reactions of yours to Amira. She is now about 18 y.o. and has advanced a lot since she was 9. Waiting for new reactionsn
Hello Jess. I flipped in here mostly to just say; "Hey You must listen to Dimash perform his recent version of Ave Maria!" I'd really like your reaction as a fellow professional... And then got caught up in listening to Amira. Wow! At age 9! Don't slay me Dears! but I just wonder if Dimash had that much control at same age. What a stunning talent. What a gorgeous tone. Amira's career is most definitely one to watch.
La vergine del Angeli is her last song and she is really growing now singing far from the microphone as her supreme athletic lungs make her stand out.She is champion of Holland on 5, 10 and 15 kilometers for her age. That explains her supreme breath control and breath longevity.
Amira is about 16 or so now, and yes she is still singing. She has several CDs available, and sang "When You Wish Upon a Star" for Disney's tribute to Veterans on the 20th anniversary of 9-1-1... it's on TH-cam somewhere, I watched it recently... she still has that sweetness...
She is living in South Africa now, still singing, but a lot less because of quarantine, etc. One of her best performances is 'Amazing Grace', from Classics is Groot (Great) 2017. Another concert performance is with Patricio Buanne when she was 11 or 12 singing 'O Sole Mio'. These and a lot of her performances are available from You Tube. Her best performances (I think) are her full concert, orchestra, chorus songs. A song that truly shows her ability is the 'Flower Duet' performed with a professional opera singer in concert. She has always been pitch perfect, with an extraordinary vocal range, especially for her age.
She is a worldwide talent now. Singing internationally with some of the best tenors. Still as sweet as ever. Thank you for this. I have been following her since she was on Hollands got talent. Wish I could have heard your voice. I’ll have to check if you have more TH-cam videos.
Amira found she had a voice from watching opera on TH-cam she won Holland got talent when she was 7 she is self taught she is simply amazing we love you Amira ♥️ and yes she is still singing watch O Mio Babbino Caro .on Holland got talent ,just incredible
The 'a' vowel as in Angus Dei (as opposed to the 'aa' vowel as in the first part of Maria) is a common vowel in the Netherlands. Dutch has about 17 vowels, vowelcombinations or even vowel/ consonant combinations to use.
I listen her some years ago. Every time, sorry, every fucking time i listen this video and her voice i cry and i think she's something like a cherubin fall down to tell us there's something else. She's incredible, the power, the purity, the genuin way how she did that it's quite a miracle. A miracle for us. I cannot discribe better.
I was always amazed because she was a Self-taught off of TH-cam by a 10 year old! After this show music teachers were coming out of the woodwork to work with her.
She is in South Africa and yes she is still singing opera and has just one lady helping her with her vocal sounds. Just go on TH-cam and you'll see all her performances there.
she is currently at the top of her game, considered one of the top 3 or 4 singers in the world, working with the top orchestras and drawing millions of fans, so she is very much in demand, drawing top pay scale worldwide.....
Yes she is still singing and is currently 17 yrs old ... check out any of her performances but my favourite is her version of " Amazing Grace " that she did ... simply stunning
What I noticed was that her voice contains metal. (Think of the Sutherland voice.) The run-of-the-mill soprano voices sound very much alike, but the great sopranos had an element of gold in the sound which gives a pleasing edge. This element also distinguishes it from other voices. You can recognize them in two notes.
Great reaction, unbelievable performance giving me electric ⚡️ like chills throughout. Her music teacher, engaged sometime after this show says her voice is unique, With a resonance like a bell
I have seen several children on main stream talent shows that blow my socks off and melt my heart. I have been inspired to love a whole new genre by these ... miracles. Sweet Amira was the first. She taught herself watching you tube videos so she could participate in Queen's Day in Holland with her brother. How cute is that?
She does come from a musical family, but at this point in her musical journey her opera training came from emulating what she could find on TH-cam. She has since been taken under the wings of a number of renowned opera singers.
This is my favorite voice of all time. Didn’t watch much opera, until Amira. Her Ronald McDonald performance is one of my favorites. Not much rehearsal time but stunning high notes. Best review on TH-cam
She is a born Star ! No training, she taught her self by looking at TH-cam with her 13 year old brother helping her what the Italian words meant. She is just as glorious inside out today as then. She donates a lot of money to unfortunate children in South Africa.
First video of your's that I saw, Jessica. Really loved it - you are friendly, fair, very competent, and also sweet. Sweet because of your lovely facial expression and gesture (a bit like in Brazil, where I was born) by which you show a lot of feelings, that’s adorable. Yes, Amira didn’t have no singing teacher so far at that point; but used to sing in the church choir and had solo performances with her family members, these playing keyboard and strings. Before the Semifinals, the ‘Ave Maria’ from above, she received a bit of coaching by the show-team, as far as I know, but I think I read she was ill before the show and almost missed it, so it wasn’t a lot of coaching. I’ve been in two shows of her’s, one big-one (max proms concert) and one nicely familiar-one, in the church of her hometown Nijmegen, Stevenskerk, both when she was thirteen. Impressive! I really enjoyed your analysis of this amazing young lady, she is incredibly gifted. Your ability to analyze and explain the musical technique, her voice, her range, what she is doing and how, is a credit to your own mastery and understanding of your craft. You have a new subscriber.
Experts like Jess give me the musical education to understand why I like the voices I like and I'm very grateful for that. I'm amazed this young lady had no formal training. Apart from performing with Andre Rieu, I haven't heard much from her and am definitely up for more. Thanks again, Jess, for your beautiful speaking voice and those inspired glimpses of your own talent by way of demonstration. Now subscribed.
There is a lot on on You tube. Most resents were from last years streaming concerts. I Will Walk With God and La Vergine degli Angeli. Then one from a 9?11 tribute for veterans When You Wish Upon A Star..
It is nice to get the perspective from another performer. You did a wonderful job describing things that I have no idea about. All I know is that nine years ago I stumbled on her performances from Hollands got talent and have been transfixed ever since.she is not only a wonderful performer, she is just a truly good human being who spends most of her money building playgrounds for parks and schools in South Africa. The first time she visited South Africa as a little girl she was struck by the fact that there was no facilities or areas for kids to play in and that stuck with her. She thought if she ever became famous or ever had lots of money she was going to do something about the situation because she puts it “every child has the right to play. “As a charter member of the Amira fan club I have seen all of her videos many times and I eagerly watch any reactions to her performances I love them all but if you have a chance to review a few I would recommend her audition her amazing performances in Iceland are amazing performances at Cananasis church (Ave Maria Gomez )in particular ,and there are so many more you can’t go wrong. I see comments where people think she has lost her voice, I personally don’t think so but she is maturing and changes are inevitable. Perhaps as you watch some of these videos you can note the changes good and bad let us know what a real expert six thank you for that beautiful review and I look forward to seeing many more. I’ve already subscribed and I’ve watched several of your other videos and I really appreciate the level of respect that you have for other performers. It is refreshing.
I wonder if you have taken the time to also see her sing Ave Maria (W.Gomez) in a church in Nijmwegen in 2015. If not definitely do not mis that beautiful performance. Greets from the Netherlands.
I been watching her since the beginning she have no help she just try it for her brothers birthday party and fall in love with it..and yes she still singing with the big names on opera and make them look like new jacks
Imagine that she taught herself by listening to performances and copying that, no training, no coach, just raw talent ... and yes she is still performing. Really love love love your reaction as usual, and all the details you provide.
😱😱😱
Do not imagine it. it's true! She started listen to youtube because she wanted something to do like her brother. (Who was playing the violin at that moment.) So she found opera on youtube, loved it and started to sing it. With no help of a profesional singing coach she did this! Incredible!
She was born that way !
@@woutervandenbosch8161 thank you , you're right. Amira has a re-born soul, from previous lives.

What a professional and incredible reaction. This is the best reaction I have ever seen for Amira's Ave Maria. She almost didn't sing because she was sick with pneumonia and the doctors worked their butts off getting her well enough to be able to sing.

Yes phenomenal!
She just graduated high school as a valedictorian.
And recently re-appeared on Holland's Got Talent as a 19Yo.
For your next reaction I would recommend her performance as a surprise special guest at Andre Rieus' concert in the big square in
Maastricht, the Netherlands in front of 15,000 people.
You don’t need to teach yourself vibrato if you’re singing openly it will come naturally
You are just fantastic with your knowledge and explanations of the voice of this miracle called Amira. Thank you.
At this time she had no teacher, learned this by watching TH-cam performances of opera singers.
Welcome to the world of Amira. Many more videos to explore and I have seen them all.
the climax high note alone shows many very good qualities.
many adult and trained singers fail to achieve this free, spinning, brilliant sound that is not shreaky at all.
6:38 Is one of my favourite Amira moments of all time. The emotion and pure control, wow amazing.
She is a teenager now and sings like a angel. She was self taught at the time of this show, since she has a vocal teacher.
Nice reaction to this beautiful young lady. She has a beautiful voice
I can't stop watching your analysis. Knowing the technique behind her singing, while listening to her singing, it must be what heaven sounds like. You have already amassed a hugh following for this video, and its just the beginning for Amira's career. It just gets better from here. I never get tired of listening to her sing.
She’s just a natural talent. All comes out directly from her soul
and what a beautiful soal, indeed.
God Bless!
have to say also it is great (and rare!) to have such an expert analysis on a reaction video
Thank you, Sue!
Thanks for bringing her up. Her family were musicians, and she self-taught herself from YT, in order to perform for the Queen's birthday at some local event. She was improving year by year, since.
she has many performances on line.....enjoy them all!
Waiting for your next Amira reaction! Amira is unbelievable ! Her voice!
I’m looking forward to this one. I watched Amira do O Mio Babbino Caro for Holland’s Got Talent on TH-cam and she really was adorable.
The performance with Corlea Botha
…. … Sound of Music medley ( age 15 ). Amira sings about one octave above the original by Julie Andrews and nails it.
This is just a sprinkle of what is available for reactions, and sincerely hope to hear more reactions to Amira in the very near future, as I just love your intelligent, intellectual style.
ps. I have now subscribed to your Chanel & hit the “bell “
Cheers, Graeme.
Good to chat with you,
Cheers, Graeme
@@graemeblackburn7511 I am with you on all counts. This woman has done one reaction and she is already my favorite for reasons that you said. I’m not sure that other reactor video folks are even able to notice these things. Amira is indeed one for the ages because the more you drill down the richer it gets.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 She is too adorable. And, that voice! I love that vibrato. And I've definitely learnt some things about vowel placement from her (and your analysis). Lol. Definitely looking forward to more from this singer. 🙃
Me too!
Graduated high school as Valedictorian last year. Missed the Olympics because of the epidemic.
Thank you, Garry! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Thx for this one going to cry again
She is still singing but lives now in south Afrika where her mother comes from her father is dutch
She had no teacher , at that moment. She is Dutch , but live now in South Africa. Since 2018. Her father is Dutch , her mother from South Africa. Nowadays she is a profesional singer.
A professional singer who just graduated from high school as valedictorian.and would have gone to the Olympics as a runner.
I really loved the Flower duet (yellow dresses) it is so beautiful. They sing it so in sync. Their vibrato is in sync. And they are not overpowering each other. Very nicely done!!
Saw her on a talent show and was amazed and before I know it shes singing in concert with Andre Rieu, holy cow that's big time talent
Love Amira, have followed her since her first appearance on Holland Got Talent!!
French...Flower Duet....th-cam.com/video/Kk1l84UW1pI/w-d-xo.html
It’s fun watching her and Alma Deutscher having fun with Alma’s SISTERS DUET from her CINDERELLA opera. There are a couple of versions available.
She from holland and she has a accent , she was never taught opera.she learned by herself, i say she amazing and today she amazing.
Welcome to the Amira bandwagon. A lot of people doing reactions jump around and miss her growing up. I found that by following her presentations as she progressed, was much more enjoyable and I enjoyed each one, one by one. There are many outstanding performances ahead. Enjoy the ride.
This is my favorite performance video of her. She still sings beautifully today.
It is ridiculous how good she is at the age of nine. Top notes just fantastic.
There is a video of Amira performing the song La Vergine Devi Angeli at the age of 16, you may want to watch his one. She is from Holland.
La vergine del Angeli is her last song and she is really growing now singing far from the microphone as her supreme athletic lungs make her stand out.She is champion of Holland on 5, 10 and 15 kilometers for her age. That explains her supreme breath control and breath longevity.
Yep still singing and getting better all the time
Amira is about 16 or so now, and yes she is still singing.
I loved your reaction and I already suscribed to your Chanel. Please keep reacting to Amira because she gets better each time.
She is an Angel.
Amira found she had a voice from watching opera on TH-cam she won Holland got talent when she was 7 she is self taught she is simply amazing we love you Amira ♥️ and yes she is still singing watch O Mio Babbino Caro .on Holland got talent ,just incredible
Gorgeous reaction, Jess.
Thanks, Wayne!
Watch her singing 'your love' she's at her best singing that.
Your ability to look at what she is presenting and not comparing her to a mature professional female is very refreshing and honorable. Thank you.
Your analysis was eloquent & concise . Your take is refreshingly unique. Subscribed & liked.
Thank you so much, Lea, I really appreciate that!
she is currently at the top of her game, considered one of the top 3 or 4 singers in the world, working with the top orchestras and drawing millions of fans, so she is very much in demand, drawing top pay scale worldwide.....
Yes she is still singing and is currently 17 yrs old ... check out any of her performances but my favourite is her version of " Amazing Grace " that she did ... simply stunning
We are already some years ahead. When can I expect the next reaction to Amira, as you pronounced in this reaction?
you should do a reaction and analysis of her first appearance on that show singing O Mio Babbino Caro
You should also check out o mio bambino cara in this episode of Hollands got talent witch she won
I really suggest you to watch her singing amazing grace
OUR ANGEL AMIRA IS STILL THE BEST - YOU SHOULD REACT TO HER AGAIN - LOVED YOUR REACTION - 777 BOER BEN
She does come from a musical family, but at this point in her musical journey her opera training came from emulating what she could find on TH-cam. She has since been taken under the wings of a number of renowned opera singers.
Great job analyzing and reviewing a great young talent. Thank you.
Thank you for watching!
Amira singing Amazing Grace is fantastic and also Flower duet with Corlea Botha. Another one is O Sole Mio with Patrizio Buanne only 10 years old.
Amira sang again at 11 year 2115 in Iceland chistmas concert .with a tenorin duet.
Impressive!

Congratulations to your channel! Greetings from Cologne, Germany - friedrich
I really enjoyed your analysis of this amazing young lady, she is incredibly gifted. Your ability to analyze and explain the musical technique, her voice, her range, what she is doing and how, is a credit to your own mastery and understanding of your craft. You have a new subscriber.
Thank you so much, Sean! Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice reaction. Looking forward to your reactions as you follow her career. 😀
Thank you, Mason!!
Thank you! I really appreciate the support and I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
There is a lot on on You tube. Most resents were from last years streaming concerts. I Will Walk With God and La Vergine degli Angeli. Then one from a 9?11 tribute for veterans When You Wish Upon A Star..
Yes,,She still singing!
I think she's about 17 now...She does a beautiful verson of Gabrella's Song..I hope I spelled that correctly.
Appreciate the expert review, very informative & enjoyable. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
I enjoyed your comments. Amira’s surname is pronounced similar to
“Vili-hagen” with a guttural harsh ‘h’.
I like the fact that she started teaching herself opera by opera songs on TH-cam.
