I prayed and asked God to cover and protect and connect with my son, who was turned off by church folks. Recently, my son told me that he remembered when he was a little boy, and I always played Fred Hammond. The song "My Heart is For You Lord" ministered to my son, and he had an encounter with God. Hallelujah!!! Seeing the smile on my son's face, hearing the excitement in his voice, and witnessing the joy of the Lord in his testimony and conversation moved me to tears and gratitude! My son believes and knows that God loves him and that he has given his heart to God! Thank God for Fred Hammond and his ministy.

My first gospel concert was Fred Hammond and Kirk Franklin. I didn't know Fred by name but knew him from Commission. The first song he sang, this is back in the 90's was Glory to Glory. I fell in love then and I'm still in love now. His voice has always been so pure. I'm just a fan. And to hear the stories on how the songs came about; and how he left Commission, WOW! 🙌🙌🙌🙌 Kevin, this is my favorite interview you have done next to Kirk Franklin! Thanks for sharing. 💐🦋🌹

We kept on listening and choreographed 2 liturgical dance to " Running back to you" and " The Ordinary just won't do" which was another fight we were dealing with at the time with our elders. Lol!
Kev, I happen to love gospel music and k-pop, have for most of my life. And, that comparison you made about the outfits/fashion is so cool and thoughtful- I have several k-pop album covers that I thought of to compare to the first Commissioned cover. Fred Hammond's music had an influence on church in South Korea, so, that could've very well manifested inspiration! Beautiful interview.
