Commissioned music not only changed my life, but I also watched Commissioned music change the life of people around me!!! This is an anointed group of men!!!!
When Tank said, "you are one of the greatest song writers of all times." I started crying. Man enough to say it. This R&B Money PodCast was Commissioned for this moment right here, Period
This hands down my Favorite GROUP!!!.. DEFINITELY PART OF MY DNA as an artist, life changing music ,the songwriting blessing me to this day!!!.. thank God for those guys🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Tank & J seem to be the only podcast interviewing the people I'd see credited within album jackets and liner notes as a kid. #Appreciative #90sbaby #CDStoMP3s🙌🏽
@@TheRealSedHallyeah man, the liner notes got me into the music biz. I’d hit the liner notes to the label names and call information to call record company marketing and promotion departments to get my internship 😎😅📞

You can see the joy, the admiration that Tank has for Commission. They are the blueprint for alot of out greatest groups and singers. The message that is bring given is amazing!!!
Tank and J Valentine are out here killin' the game. I got so much joy out of sittin' here listening to Mitchell and Karl, it's indescribable. Y'all are tapping in with all the right people with no regard for who is hot right now today. This industry as a whole needs to get behind y'all with moral and financial support to ensure that the vital and correct info is passed on to future generations. And, the brother they brought with them is without a doubt, one of the greatest songwriters OF ALL TIME!
Parks was the surprise of this episode glad we heard from him his input and song writing is different and hearing he got some RnB songs written in the tuck we need those
Thank you so much for this episode, Tank and J. Valentine! I’m 23 and didn’t know about Commissioned until I watched the R&B Money Podcast and heard you guys and your guests mention them repeatedly. Because of that, I was excited to see this episode and learn more about their influence. After watching, I listened to “Running Back to You” and literally said aloud “Omg, this is beautiful.” I can hear the influence, too! Definitely Wanya from Boyz II Men, and I recognized the “I don’t have to cry no more” line, which K-Ci interpolated on the first Jodeci album. Please keep this podcast going! It’s music education, history, appreciation, and scholarship all in one. And because younger listeners like me respect y’all, we in turn want to learn about the artists y’all love, which introduces us to legends like Commissioned. You’re preserving and strengthening Black music and the surrounding culture with each episode. Thank you! ❤
My brother sent me this TH-cam link and all he said was "you're welcome". 😂😂 In our household, Commissioned was the gold standard for the soundtrack of our lives. So much was confirmed by these guys that I was almost in tears. Our church was steadfast AGAINST us listening to Commissioned and it caused some conflicts. So glad my Mama bought us Commissioned albums! Their impact on Gospel alone is Hall of Fame worthy but they definitely impacted R&B as well! All love to them!
When I was a kid and first listened to Jodeci, K-Ci Hailey sang, “My arms are open wide” on the song “I’m still waiting”.. I immediately knew that this group came from good stock.. cause I was already a fan of Commissioned’s “Running back to you”. Their influence on R&B is undeniable..
I had never listened to Commissioned back in the day..but was a huge Jodeci fan. I just started listening to them last year and was like "Where was I during the 90s???" I think the Winans was the only gospel I listened to back then. Boy I missed out
My, my, my!!!! I know this show means a lot to Tank. He has said Mitchell so much over the course of this podcast. I love that this is a premiere so fans can engage in live chat.

When I say that this is the first group interview that I cried on... Listen... The admiration, respect and love shown was appreciated yet long overdue. Commission and the Winans are the REAL R and B original sound!!! MITCHELL SOUND IS GREAT... TO GOD BE THE GLORY FOR GENERATIONS
This episode makes me so happy for Tank. He’s been talking about these guys since day one! ❤❤❤❤
I just didn't want this to end.....My heart is so full. Just seeing Parkes Stewart, Mitchell Jones and Karl Reid has lifted my spirits in a real way! Tank and J, thank you for this..... Bless Up!
One of the greatest options we have now a days is to be able to listen to a interview, pause the interview, go to a streaming service and listen to the songs that they talk about in the interview, all while supporting the artist by streaming. Amazing! I’m having fun!
Always a 🔥 episode! Now, can we manifest Brandy and Jagged Edge fellas !! 💯 ✊🏾
This segment BLESSED my soul and spirit! I’m grateful for this podcast 🙌🏽🙏
When I say that this is the first group interview that I cried on... Listen...
The admiration, respect and love shown was appreciated yet long overdue. I was wondering who Tank kept looking over his shoulder at. Please let him know that we need him, if he can and God touches him, to testify in the same seat Mr Karl and Mr Mitchell did. There is much more to be learned and heard.
It was also a joy to hear seasoned veterans from my age group give you your Flowers Tank and JV. I laughed at the slips of wrong words you let out Tank but what was beautiful was the gentleman behind you was having much fun from where he was.
Come on guys, please ask him to bless us with his presence because he deserves it after that tear provoking testimony 🙌🏽🙏🏽
This is a Masterclass in composition.
Been blessing me since I was a kid. Still blessing me. Thank God for you all.
I love how happy Tank is in this episode!!!💛💛💛
