So they moved it to the street. It’s now across the street from a daycare, backs onto another daycare and there’s an elementary school and public library within 200metres. Everyone including City Council tried to stop it but BC Northern Health said they can put it wherever they want to. Now needles, druggies, daily overdoses in the bathrooms of our library/cultural theatre. Nice for the kids who go to summer reading club to be dodging crackheads just to get into the library. First offense "rehab jail" with job training. Second offense jail.

Opioids are prescribed for injuries. Then people get cut off by their doctors. Then they get fentanyl. Dead people don't "rehab jail". Pierre is ignoring Fentanyl. You would rather return to the immense death toll when fentanyl deaths were in the thousands per year? You do realize these sites are solving a real problem and solving problems not ignoring them is common sense.
Are all your ideas like this?

Like in Alberta. First offense rehab jail. Then death since Alberta has the highest fentanyl death rate in Canada. Actually most of the fentanyl deaths occur among people who have no police record at all

I've read dozens of stories of people that overcame addiction through the help of sites like this keeping them alive long enough to get to rehab. You would rather return to the immense death toll when fentanyl deaths were in the thousands per year? You do realize these sites are solving a real problem and solving problems not ignoring them is common sense

    • @d.d.b.5228

@uncomplicatedi perhaps for some. I think people are taking advantage of it. I'm my city they have a site across the road from a huge grocery store. They scan the parking lot watch where you left from or where your going. Either to beg you for money, or break in to your vehicle for a pack of smokes.
We never had this problem before ever. But liberals have made things sooooo expensive that it's put people over the edge. I wascan addict once and overcame it on my own. Luckily.
I do have respect for your opinion.

@@d.d.b.5228 People taking advantage of staying alive isn't a down side to me and these sites are proven to reduce harm and death by fentanyl.
If there is a crime problem that is a policing issue not a keeping people alive problem.
I've lost people to fentanyl and the police didn't even attempt an investigation.
I am super happy you made it through and kudos to you for taking it on and fighting through. Its not many that can do it your way though and I want people alive not dead.

1000% agree sorry your a drug addict but society’s safety and quality should not be sacrificed for your problem that you created now people that were born with mental health problems yes we should absolutely have sites and places to help them addiction is not a mental health problem it’s a bad decision and parenting problem
