  • Canadian opposition leader Pierre Poilievre has been captured nonchalantly eating an apple while taking down a reporter’s questions.
Sky News host Liz Storer says there “may be hope” for Canada yet after watching the Conservative Party leader’s response to the journalist comparing him to former US president Donald Trump.
“Somebody help that journo - you are out of your depth,” Ms Storer said.
“Is it any wonder this man is actually leading in the polls to be the next Canadian prime minister.
“Oh, I hope to high heaven this happens - imagine that guy instead of Justin Trudeau.”

Yes that was a journalist. If you see the entire interview. (can be found by searching Pierre Poilievre ). You will see a leader who answers poignant questions with facts and commen sense solutions! It's not until the journalist tries to spin a liberal narrative on his question that he messed up the interview. I'm sure he is regretting that decision as he made himself look the fool.

I listened to both sides I tried to watch independent news and learn on my own who “I”as an individual feels is best to lead. That’s democracy….friend. IMHO, when they say populist, they actually mean, us stupid peasants instead of us "enlightened" corporate media representing the global elites. The logic gene must be affected for these pathetic useful idiots because the very word, populist means lots of people agree with what the Conservative leader is saying and doing. So "they" (useful idiots) are obviously working against the people and they either can't understand/see that or they are too stupid. I would go with the latter.

Little PP is not a good choice either, he is just as corrupt. Just as likely being bought by corporations, companies. I guarantee it.
People get so brainwashed just because they hear a politician talk about something they care about, and then they claim it''s because they're 'conservative'. It's literally playing with your emotions, manipulation. It's all charm right now too, soon as they're in office they always show the other side of their face.
Happens time and time again. Instead of voting for a party, Take your vote and spoil your ballot. Write the reason why on it, and ask for our country to adopt a multi-party coalition governments. The 1 party system we have in Canada and the US is HIGHLY corruptable. A coalition government is better representing your vote, and because they have to work together to pass stuff, there's much less chance we're going to get screwed over.
If you take a look at Europe, Most of the governments over there are multi-party, coalition. You can see how much better life is for people, how much less expensive, how much healthier the food is. They do still face some similar issues that we do here(some are global issues really), but it's largely a better option, especially if we're voting in the right parties.

@@vividly94 This is actually why our country is going down the drain.
Because people don't do their homework. They vote in the first person who says some things that they agree with, and bam we're right in the same spot. You're getting played.
You'd be naive to think that Pierre isn't as corrupted, or as bad as Trudeau is. The media only shows you what they want you to see of him. They paint him in such a great light, THE SAVIOR OF CANADA! And literally everyone is falling for it.
No one person at this point is going to save Canada. The people we keep voting in keep running it into the ground. There's a reason our healthcare systems are failing. There's a reason our HOUSING MINISTER was also controlling the market supply, investing in the companies that built houses. He was making bank off us. There's a reason nothing has been done regarding groceries, or energy costs in many of the provinces, insurance.
But of course, people love to ignore everything, because there's a charming individual on the news. Then they'll vote him in, and we fall further down the hole.
You realize our country has healthcare worse than the states now? Yeah.. and we used to be top 7. The country in which most people can't even get care unless they spend literally thousands of dollars, and we're worse than that.
Keep kneejerk voting in people into the office. When you start complaining in a few years. Remember, you got played, manipulated. The major media companies in Canada are all highly influenced from the outside.
Our basic government setup is highly corruptable, and the same thing is happening in the States, with politicians taking bribe money from oil companies, from coal companies, even from food companies(take a look at Lunchables making a deal to supply schools with 'food'.
The exact same thing is happening here. We need a multi-party coalition government in place to help fix this. Out of the 100 countries with democratic governments, There are only 5 countries that have our largely, single/two party government system, and they're all having similar issues. Surprise surprise, Australia is one of them. Canada another, and the USA another. Odd how that works, and ODD how australian news is now painting the next savior of canada in the media too.
