Love you guys and think Ben's an awesome mechanic, but come on, disappointed to see used pads on brand new rotors. Should of also cleaned up behind the rotors with a little spray paint. #NotCool #AttentionToDetailMatters 😤🔧

I would have died in the first video attempting to do anything on the original tires. So then I’d have to modify it to not die and it wouldn’t be a true before after
If you buy VLEDS LED lighting you will not be disappointed. They are not cheap but the build quality is phenomenal. VLEDS V6 Extremes for the tail lights are amazing. The lights are super bright and the contrast when braking or turn signalling is like no other aftermarket LEDs.
You must have that IRS bushing kit in there i suppose. You should do the head cooling mod on both heads in the future too. Its finny how i know so much about these cars but never owned one(maybe 1 day) but i been around mustangs almost of my life and i owned 5 and possibly counting. That cap for piouring and bleeing the coolant system is the same on all cobra starting from 96,my cobras had the same issue and it was a pita to get it to take off but i got it dont, messed up one of my ratches, lol. Always use anti-seize on that piece. Cant wait for the next video, the first mod i had ever do when i got a new mustang was a short shifter,i cant stand the stock ones. Ive used 5.0,steeda triax and upr blue thunder. MGW makes a good one too that i hear is best for terminators with tons of adjustability.
Hey if you’re looking for a colder plug you can run NGK Part # BR7EF that’s probably the best plug you can run on a mod motor that you can get in store. And they are pre-gapped to .030-.028”. Also try to find yourself a 13/14 GT500 IC pump to really see a difference in IAT temps!
Would love a list of parts in description, or a video listing all the cool parts and changes you make! Buying a cobra soon going to need to do some of my own upgrading, I been looking at builds all over, comparing, and I like yours too!
All 99-04 Cobras came with C heads. 96-98 Cobras came with B heads. The Aviators, Marauders and Mach 1's also used C heads and are directly compatible with the Cobra engine. I believe 05 and up engines in the Aviators all have 9 thread spark plug holes.
04 model year started the 9 thread heads. “DC” head casting iirc. The triton issue is a completely different issue due to design of the extended spark plug.
Enjoying your content. It would have been nice to see the old and new parts side by side. Especially the heat exchanger. The new one looks twice as thick as the old one.
Make triple sure that is the correct torque spec in 2024. In the 2v engines they shot the spark plugs out because the torque spec was too low from the factory. They revised the torque spec 3 or so times since production.
VLEDS are by far the best. They are not cheap but the build quality is amazing and for the tail lights when braking or signalling the contrast is like no other. Many LED tail lights don’t show enough difference when you brake or signal.
I highly recommend replacing the coolant crossover tube plug with one that you can use a socket to remove. Absolute made it easier to fill coolant since the upgrade
The triton 5.4 3v in 04 had the thread issues with the spark plugs breaking off in the combustion chamber. They corrected it in 05 to keep from raising a stink and issuing a recall. Guess who owned one with the defective heads 🥴
lmaoo "You know what I like more than Materialistic things? Knowledge" Starts flexing bookshelves .I forgot about that video going deep into the archives for that reference. Cobra coming together quick can't wait to see the new wheels.
The IC coolant runs significantly colder than the engine coolant. Running 180 degree plus coolant through the intercooler would heat up the air charge. Always trying to get charge air well under 150 degrees.
That’s exactly why you should run an oil separator ! I ran JLT’s on my 97 Cobra, 02 Lightning, 16 F150 Coyote, and 19 Mustang GT and they ALWAYS pulled the oil from the PCV system and kept it from being fed back into the engine through the intake. Keep your valves, plugs, and combustion WAY cleaner and much less chance of detonation. I add them to my cars the day I purchase the car…
@@skipgumphrey9579 All those you listed aren’t 03/04 cobras. You will have oil in the intake, and intercooler with catch cans and the pcv still in tact.
Seems funny that you’re getting rid of the special edition wheels for your Cobra. Then again, I COULD be biased because I bought a set of them almost 20 years ago for one of my Foxbody Mustangs and I still have them lol 😝
The catch can wont get capture any oil on the passenger side. Really need one on the drivers side. Mine was about 1/2 full after 2,500 miles. It will fit fine with the snub idler, but get a 90MM just in case. I have a snub idler on mine with that same catch can
And I'm sure you learned you cannot bleed coolant at the tank. It's all gotta be done at the crossover plug. Do not add coolant to tank, it'll just keep creating air pockets in the system. The 4v is a different animal.
@@itsreallyjakubmany many years ago, back in 2011 when I got my first terminator, I made the mistake of adding a splash of coolant at the tank. Car instantly overheated when I left home, total pain in the ass figuring out why lol

vibrations are going to cause those steel brackets to chew right through the shiny new aluminum heat-exchanger without some sort of rubber isolation between them if you put any real mileage on it. thankfully, you'll have the car back on the lift in six months to replace the brakes again since drilled rotors are only good for cracking and prematurely wearing pads.
