Rex, just want to say I love your videos. You have helped me with a lot of questions i have had about trucking and specifically driving with Prime. Spoke with my recruiter today should be going to start training in a couple of weeks with Prime.
I love how they said wait till prime fires you…I believe I heard Robert and the safety department say that they appreciate the drivers doing that to get the prime name out there as long as you do it safely and not holding the camera or phone while driving. The trolls are really jealous of what you have been doing and wish that they can do it

Next time you’re up that way hit up Osseo. I believe the exit is 88, it’s now a TA unfortunately but they have an excellent restaurant there. Great food and great service with reasonable prices. I think one of the smartest moves I made here at prime was moving from Florida to Springfield. The goal is to get out of this truck and move into dispatch in the next two years.

If you want ease of finding parts... definitely go with Freightliner. No X15 Cummins Freightliner option? My last two have had this engine.. the 100yr edition. Been solid for me.
Options are DD15 Detroit in the freightliner or the Paccar MX-13 in the Peterbilt. Definitely leaning towards the DD15 Freightliner

Every time after you unload or get unloaded by the receiver your tanker must be washed out before getting loaded. Hope this helps! ✌️🤙

Listen, the only one who we know, who you really know is real is you. You're the guy on the screen. We're looking at you and your operation. Nobody knows anyone else on the channel. Maybe a few people know each other because they're going to school together. So, just do what you do. I looked at the comments. I was happy to see other older guys backing you up. I'm 62 and have been driving trucks for 38 years. Everyone screws up sometimes. I remember the episode. Big whoop! Little speedy dry and it's good. Glad you're getting back to work. How's the new place? Wife and daughter like that? Super singles? I've already commented. Our company, which is 250 trucks ( tractors) plus O.O's tried stupid singles on half the trucks and after a year went back to duals. Not worth it. I’m currently in a standard lease. Didn’t want to jump straight into a lease purchase. I wanted to learn most of the customers, see how my home time is OTR with prime, see if this could be a long term gig. Now I’ll be working on getting the 💰 for a lease purchase 🤙✌️
Rex have you thought about just going outside and buying the tractor? Seems Prime has only a few requirements when leasing on with them...... 244" and 18,200 lb and 2021 or newer. With your LLC and the cash you have to put down (-$2000 for your years of service you wont be able to use). You might be able to find everything you want on your tractor, engine, rims, ultraloft, cable tv, sauna, ... etc lol just throwing it out there.

I don’t know all the answers but watching your videos and others on running a trucking business you should be able to get equipment from your LLC EIN. I am still trying to figure all this out so I can retire next year from my current job and start a one man band trucking jig.

FWIW (full disclosure I am thinking about joining prime on the tanker (inedible side)) when I got my CDL w/ TMC back in Jan of 2019 as a company driver I avg for the year between $1500-1700/wk (33% of rev to the truck...my largest check was $3300 and my lowest week was a holiday week for $800) for that entire year, BUT...I did live in the truck that year, so I never was routed home on weekends. Was always given long runs over the weekend. I went on to drive Linehaul as a company driver for XPO making $34.15/hr for all non-driving functions and .741cpm for all driving functions or ~$2500/week gross with full benefits. My point being, is $1900/wk before retirement/insurance deductions, etc as a L/O in nearly 2024 has me a bit concerned.
Completely understand, XPO sounds like a good option also R&L team drivers makes 110k +benefits and home every weekend. My current YTD average is $2,084 per week after expenses. I’m home at least every other weekend, prime isn’t for everyone but it works for me. My home time is good. Biggest check a little over $6200, my smallest check was NEGATIVE -$1200 for taking a week off (truck payment still has to be paid). Hope this helps! 🤙✌️
@@truckingwithrex If I could do it all over again, I would have got out of the Army and started Linehaul immediately. Home every morning, off every weekend/holiday (holidays paid). ~130k + benefits as a company driver is a damn good living (I'm single no wife/kids and I own my home outright), even in today's inflated economy...but I have a dog and there's very few GOOD OTR options (ZERO local options) that will afford me the option to take him with me....and me being back OTR requires a pupper.

A few guy's have told me that the Paccar motor is more reliable than the Cummins.
Just love the Paccar. Really have been impressed with its economy and reliability.
My first truck was a 2022 Peterbilt 579 with a PACCAR from prime a standard lease. I had a lot of breakdowns (maybe I got a bad truck built on Sunday?) 🤔
turbo went out at 23k miles- 10days down special order part
Next week passenger led headlight went out 3 days down
Next week digital dash kept freezing, I can keep going 😂

My doctor told me that I was color blind and that I was born with no cells that can distinguish between green and red, But that doesn't mean you can't tell the difference at all. I understand the color of the traffic light. However, it can be difficult to distinguish which are dull reds and which are green. Is it possible to obtain an A-class license?

Not sure who you talked to but I made $115K net that’s after all my expenses as a lease driver. I would’ve returned this truck long ago if I could only make $1300 a week. I can flip burgers for $20 an hour lol.. my YTD average is 2,211 per week 💪
That’s what prime recruiting told me but I’m averaging 2700 a week were I’m at trying to improve that grind where I don’t have to work 14 hrs everyday it wears on ya after a while

Inedible tanker is all OTR, I don’t personally talk to any trainers so I couldn’t say this or that person would be a good trainer! I have 1 buddy who work’s basically regional food grade home every weekend making $1900-$2000 per week pretty solid gig if you ask me! ✌️🤙

For this week it was 2K after expenses before taxes. Last year I paid 9% taxes based on my deductions.

@@MikeOzmun abacus does my taxes, write everything off you can, if you have an extra room in your house or apartment deduct this as your business office, deduct your home internet etc… every little bit helps. At the end of the year abacus has forms you fill out online to do the above I mentioned! 🤙✌️

Lease purchase
Man I was looking to go do the lease purchase but I will not be now since I can’t even get the Cummins engine. No chance I’m driving a peterbuilt with a paccar. You also didn’t answer the question of if you could do dual tires instead of the horrible super singles
They don't let you do duels, there are benefits to the the super single. The Pete's are fine.

@@Gravxhity Sorry Dude but you are wrong. The Paccar is a great engine great economy and very reliable. Personally I would never go back to a Cummins my second choice would be the Detroit.
@anthony1636 everyone is entitled to their own opinion, however, I have a few friends that despise the engine and wish they could go back to the Cummins. Numerous shops I've talked to as well say that they're not as reliable as a Cummins. The dd15 is okay but has zero power compared to the Cummins. I'd rather have a cat over everything but they don't exist in DEF trucks

Not sure why your trying to sell PRIME on others seems like all you do is travel around lookin for a clean trailer or waitin om 1 to get cleaned company that size should have an overstock of cleaned units ready to go also seems theirs a few unhappy drivers out there leaving PRIME good luck it's not DOT legal to drive with flip flops on also enough with brushing your teeth and how your showers look
