Folks, open your dome or at least a 3" up top before offloading a gravity drop. On a blow off, open your discharge valves BEFORE pressurizing your tank. Why? Your compressor will reach unloading pressure just fine. You want to catch leaks before they spray. You want a high cfm air compressor on your truck. It doesn't need to be higher pressure than 40 psi.

That's a hard one. I know I'm not doing too bad here at C Three Logistics but I would look for some small carriers with direct customers. A lot of the MEGA carriers have slashed the rates so bad that it's hard to make money. I've heard from several big tanker outfits that have cut the pay to the trucks and charging crazy fuel card fees and such trying to be more profitable. Usually the smaller companies care more about their drivers. And will work with you more than a mega carrier.
Yes sir but on some of these loads that require LOW psi sometime you won't see it. I had that happen before and my guage said I should've been empty but never jumped. I waited for probably 20 more minutes before I closed it off and checked bleed off.
for the most part, yes. The trailers may have a little different set up depending on what you are hauling but generally the unloading process is the same for hazmat / non hazmat chemicals. Of course with hazmat there is more safety gear and such but for general liquids its all the same way.
Extremely bad idea. The liquid surge in the trailer while driving actually causes back problems. There are many who get out of tanking because of this alone.
I honestly like rand better but they have had charging Issues after 1 year and would stop working even if plugged in. They supposedly fixed that so I'm trying them again. They have more info on them but I do however like the route shaping feature on the Garmin.

Yes sir but on some of these loads that require LOW psi sometime you won't see it. I had that happen before and my guage said I should've been empty but never jumped. I waited for probably 20 more minutes before I closed it off and checked bleed off.
How do you secure the ears on the hose to keep the hose from coming off under pressure
Velcro straps are the easiest way. I have a bunch of orange Velcro straps.
Great video
@@davidsyked9420 thank you.
got new job hazmat tankers are they all the same process unloading?
for the most part, yes. The trailers may have a little different set up depending on what you are hauling but generally the unloading process is the same for hazmat / non hazmat chemicals. Of course with hazmat there is more safety gear and such but for general liquids its all the same way.
@@TheTourettesTrucker thanks for the info!
Does the tank unloading valve have a excess flow valve that shuts off if you open the valve to fast?
No sir. Our trailers don't have any valve like that.
is that air or n2 being put into the tanker?
@@stephanietadlock3437 straight plant air 😀
No sight glass on a chemical truck is crazy bad design call
Text book delivery man.
Would it be a bad idea for someone with a fragile spine to work a job like this ?
Extremely bad idea. The liquid surge in the trailer while driving actually causes back problems. There are many who get out of tanking because of this alone.
in the gps world, which would you think is best, Rand McNally or Garmin?
I honestly like rand better but they have had charging Issues after 1 year and would stop working even if plugged in. They supposedly fixed that so I'm trying them again. They have more info on them but I do however like the route shaping feature on the Garmin.
I have the Rand McNally 750 and a Garmin 785 which can go to Mexico. Which is better
@@benjaminschill2258 not sure as I have never been into Mexico but I personally prefer Rand McNally since they are the ones who make the road maps and atlas
Need help , would I get hired from a tanker hazmat company , I have like 2 minor accidents on my record , I just bumped my corner trailer on another trailer while backing was really tight and i pumped another driver when turning , but it was basically at like 2 mph on both our side, mind you this my first year happned in like 5th month into this , and bumping the driver while turning was in a parking lot , very busy and I had my hazards on was making u turn , bro creeped up on me didn’t see him
It may be very difficult with a smaller company but you may have better luck with a mega carrier that is self insured. They have more relaxed hiring requirements since they don't run through the typical insurance company.
Might not be the best place for that bike now that the hoserack's there, eh?
Absolutely. I need to figure something out
@@TheTourettesTrucker I love that you actually reply to your fans, man.
Gonna miss seein ol thorbug in your videos, tho. Lol.
@@FRDRC_2192 I miss him everyday as well. I would fuss at him wanting to be in my lap 90%+ of the time I'm driving but it was nice to see his face when I left the truck and had him greet me back.
Sure beats waiting at a dock for hours.
It sure does. And over here we get good detention pay
How long does it usually take to unload/load a trailer?
It can range from 30 minutes to 4 hours. The average is around 1 hour
That air line probably clogged from lazy azz driver riding with the top valve open. We have some of those same peeps. That air line set up is nice when it works properly. Be safe.
That's exactly what I think. Ughhhh
So how do u unclog a clogged line?
Are y'all hiring ?
Im in houston tx
I am looking for a driver for one my trucks and I believe C Three Logistics where I contract is also looking for drivers.
I want to pull takers but i dont know any brokers ...Do u used brokers for your loads?
No. I'm contacted with M. Gibson Trucking and he has direct chemical company contracts.
@@TheTourettesTrucker ooh ok i got u thanks for the inf help alot
Mr. Sanchez we protect our industry from brokers and double dipping and rate cuts
Did you used to be that wild beard trucker guy?
Lol. That guy is the bomb bro. We are actually friends. Here is his channel. youtube.com/@WildBeardTrucking
@@TheTourettesTrucker Yeah, that's him
So do you empty the whole tank at one delivery point?
Generally we do. We do have one account where we deliver bleach to 4 separate locations in a papermill.
Oh ok. I applied with Schneider for their tanker position. So im just trying to learn as much as I can before putting my foot in the door. I have all the creds so they offered me the job.
i wanna pull tanker im owner operator idk who to pull for
M. Gibson out of Macon GA is looking for O/O's. We have excellent mileage rate.
GOOD VIDEO, LIKE THE CROSS ON THE GRILL, ONE MISTAKE , I DIDN T LIKE THE WAY HE EXHAUSTED THE TRAILER IN THE END, PEOPLE HAVE BEEN KILLED DOING IT THAT WAY , HE WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER OFF EXHAUSTING HIS PRESSURE INTO THE CUSTOMERS TANKS THRU HIS PRODUCT HOSE, ALSO ALOT OF RECIEVERS DON T LIKE TO SEE THE VAPORS RELEASED TO THE OPEN AIR , BUT GOOD JOB OVERALL
They prefer not to exhaust in their tanks as all of the 5 product tanks are in the building.
@@TheTourettesTrucker OK
Thank you 🙏
Your welcome. Hopefully this video helps out
Starting out trucking better to stay cargo, no tankers, too much for cargo, driving change required for TYPE OF TANKER.. OR CRASH IT.. NO BAFFLES FOR FOOD GRADE, MILK, HAVE TO BE EASY STERILIZE.. WHY NO BAFFLES, BUT WILL ROLL BY EXIT RAMP BY SLOSH SIDEWAYS. HAVE TO GO WAY SLOWER. THIS WHEN NON FOOD GRADE TANKER CAN BE CORRECTED BY HYDRAULICS DESIGN, EXAMPLE, FOOT SQUARE FUNNEL TO A 2 INCH DELIVERY BACK LOW ON OTHER SIDE SAME FUNNEL WITH SAY 4 INCH EDGE CAN'T SLOSH UP TO GO HIGH TILT/ROLL TANKER..
What psi do you unload at?
We normally start around 25
Just not the same when you open the door and no Thor bummer
I do miss him always looking for me when he heard me disarm the alarm. He always got in the window of the dash looking for me. ❤️🐈
No chock no ground ?
No ground needed for non flammable. Have trailer and tractor brakes set as well
Placards?
No sir. This stuff is a paper bonding agent and isn't hazardous.
On the dome lid don’t take off the front 2 hinges. Also, why not open your vapor instead of the bleeders up top.
I normally will open vapor recovery if the trailer has one. Only a few of those trailers had them.
No placards eh?
Nope. Luckily the 4 chemicals we bring here are all non hazmat. Be safe out there 😎✌️
