This is really nice learning video - more insight ... I have done this practice - I am stuck on two problems: finding a reason. The module is talent management . 1. I have hired an employee from Curtis Feitty. From person management, I could view that employee's talent profile, but when I searched for the same employee in talent profiles under profile-Talent Profiles, then I couldn't view it. Why couldn’t I view it? Where did I go wrong? 2. Under profile, I gave access to the employee for visible only this content Employee engagement level, and I did regenerate the security policy for the particular role -Employee Abstract (PER_EMPLOYEE), which is auto-provisioned to the employee, but the employee couldn't view it from the employee work area " Career and performance " Where can employees view it? CAN YOU GIVE INSIGHT ?
Dear Sir, In the "Manage Person Security Profile" page, I am not able to find the "Workforce Structures" section as shown in 9:56 Could you pls guide how to check and include this section?
Hello If I need to use the hiring manager role which would be an abstract role, can I assign the security profile directly to a hiring manager custom role for example? thanks
Hi team, this is such an amazing video which you have clearly explained each and every steps and is such a life saviour, but i have a doubt here , if we go ahead with specific set of departments or LE in the person security profile by Workforce structures then this data role has to be made multiple times for various other LE or departments right ? Rather why dont we go ahead with Area of responsibility or custom criteria SQL ? If my assumption is wrong can you explain me what would cause the difference ? Also it will be very very useful if you could make a video on assignment level security which is coming in as a new feature. Thank you
Hi Anusha, thank you so much for taking your valuable time to write the review. I am glad that this content has added value for your learning...! Sure, will add assignment level security into the topic list. Following are my thoughts on your queries. You're most welcome to add further if you feel some of these are not correct! Happy Learning :-) Person Management: The requirement that we have in this Video uses the generic organization hierarchy (consist of Legal Employer, Business Unit & Department). But the scope of Areas of Responsibility in Person Security Profile related to Organization hierarchy is one among "Organization Hierarchy for Legal Employer","Organization Hierarchy for Department" or "Organization Hierarchy for Business Unit". So i really wonder leveraging AOR for this specific requirement. But yes, custom criteria is definitely an option. New Hire: As you know, the organization fields such as Legal Employer, Business Unit & Department in "New Hire" requires Organization Security Profile to secure the values in these LOVs. Luck doesn't favor us using Areas of Responsibility in Organization Security Profile. Hence, there is room for inconsistency when the Job Role has got both Person Management & New Hire.
Excellent no better video available on this topic, keep up the good work
