Could be either the drive is no longer working, or something has stopped your OS from working. You could see whether it's detected in any Windows recovery installer, or replace it. (also keep in mind some 9550's have a hard drive, so in that case, it might be a larger 2.5" drive)
I found a Dell charger, a 90W model that can power the laptop. The original charger is a 19.5V/6.67A (so 130W) charger, I managed to find a USB-C charger that was 20V/4.5A (so 90W). It does give an error on bootup, but I haven't managed to get it to drop any battery life when under usage plugged in. You *can* get higher wattage chargers that should work, but the reason I went for the one I did was because it also gives you 15W (5V/3A) fast charging on other USB-C devices such as phones and tablets, and also can charge my camera batteries via 15W fast charging. So, I only have to carry around one plug with me, which is this charger, and it works with all my devices.
The actual hardware of the computer is fast enough, but whilst using it for video editing or animation, I very often run out of file storage, and memory, so upgrading those two items make a slightly older laptop run like new again! I don't really want to spend a grand on a new laptop when I have this laptop still, that works flawlessly lol
Link to the WiFi card? Thanks for the video, I bought a 9550 for 80usd and I’m thinking of upgrading it to its max potential.
I am receiving harddrive not detected error in my XPS 15 9550 , should i need to replace the ssd or is there any work around

@@plutotech3141 Thanks for the quick reply , will try to solve it and let you know : )
@@suryamunirathinam4513 Did you solve it?
Why a 1TB and not a 2TB?
It costs money!
How do you use usb c in 9550 for charging?

What’s the point of upgrading a laptop ?

Hi.. just a quick question, can I put wifi 6 card on this device?
Not a clue. If it fits into the port, and is supported under whatever OS you use, probably? But I can't say I've done that.
no. not supported
