You’re getting better with your videos, I like them. Simple direct and REAL! Not “ fluffed” up like some! Keep up the good work, you’ll get it dialed in.
A late model racer I helped used Fel-Pro header gaskets at the cylinder heads, he always used high temperature silicone between the headers and the gaskets, no silicone between the cylinder head and the header gasket. It worked really good, that silicone took a lot of heat and prevent a lot of gasket blowouts.
I normally sub channels to follow the builder. This is the first sub I've ever done following... a car. Well done young sir, my hat is off to you and your parental units. ( Coneheads ) I was 10 years old and plotting my first Chevy when your Biscayne was built new so I'm antique as well .😆
@@RustyEast I’m going back and forth on it, I need to do some research on it because I had it set up sort of like that at one point and it kept breaking up and sputtering
@lucky_jack_racing I was thinking that when you first got the car from D.D.ss you had plans to use it as a race car but if you are just cruising the drag I would say do it the factory way. Either way I still think the right guy got that car.
@@RustyEast thank you sir, I’m going back and forth on turning into a street legal drag car, but I kinda wanna keep it as a cruiser and rebuild the engine to be about 500 hp
Dude, you check and adjust timing at 3K or above rpm. Shoot for your desired advance say 32-36 degrees at rpm. Initial timing falls where it is after adjusting all in timing at rpm. In other words dont adjust timing at idle speeds. If you dont understand, TH-cam it!
Sorry, but that header gasket leak totally ruins the debut of your new exhaust system. Which I think would sound great once all the other leaks are fixed.
There's nothing like the sound of a Big Block Chevy!
I agree
I come for your mom, the car content is a bonus 😂, seriously though, love this. Wish my son was as into car stuff as you are
My mom says thank you. I’m glad you love this, I hope he gets into cars soon. My dad got me into them and I love them.
Hey is this the car from DD Speed Shop? Sure looks like it from the trunk marking!!!?
@@luperodriguez8203 yes it is, I own it now
@lucky_jack_racing very cool, I'm glad you do. Have fun..fix that blown gasket and it'll sound and perform lots better.

Thank you!! That means a lot, I get really nervous when making them. I try to be real with everyone

@@dand3975 I have some new aluminum gaskets that don’t need the silicone, so I’ll swap them on soon

Thank you sir. This means a lot. I hope you will still check out some of my other hot rods that come up.
@lucky_jack_racing You are very welcome. and worry not... that's the plan.😁
@ thank you
That header gasket would drive nuts
Don’t worry, it does bother me.
That's all I hear. 😬
Sounds awesome!
Thanks! I know, sounds like a beast!
Sounds really good
Thanks
Sounds damn good
Thank you!!!
Sounds good!
Thank you!!
Have you thought about locking the distributor around 34-36°at around 3000 RPM and ditching the vacuum advance?
@@RustyEast I’m going back and forth on it, I need to do some research on it because I had it set up sort of like that at one point and it kept breaking up and sputtering
Depends on the cam

For ur better cold starts get a fuel regulator and a gas check valve it will keep gas up to the carb or a electric fuel pump love ur videos bud
Thank you!! I’ll look into it.
Gotta fix that exhaust leak.Could be the header gasket.
It is the header gasket, I have the parts but I need it.

Is that the DD Speed shop Biscayne? Get the header sealed up and you're rockin'! Keep at it....
Yes it is DD Speed Shop Biscayne! I will get it sealed soon!
Any progress with the green truck?
Yes, a lot actually. I’ll do a video catching everyone up to speed on it. Do you want to see more of it?
Change header gaskets and ditch the 3 bolt collector flanges for ball and socket connection.
Sounds like poop with all the leaks.
Other wise nice.job
Thank you. I agree, it sounds mean when the hood is closed though and you can’t hear the leaks
Do you have a sway bar in this car because it was an option to get one on the biscayne and belair.
I have a very small one on the front. I would like to put a larger one on it because it is less than 1/2in thick.
Sounds like you might need a header gasket. It sounds good when you get on it.
I do, I have a set, I just need to swap them. Thank you!!!
If you use exuast manifold gaskets at the head to headers the dont burn out
Thank you
Sounds like a header leak
Yep, there is on
You need copper header gaskets as it sounds like you have a leak.
I have a set of them at the house, I just need to swap them in.
Sorry, but that header gasket leak totally ruins the debut of your new exhaust system. Which I think would sound great once all the other leaks are fixed.
You are right. I have new ones, I just haven’t installed them yet
You need a 3 spoke steering wheel. The 2 spoke was the bottom of the line wheel and unsafe.
Don’t worry, one is coming soon. I want to install a gold moon eyes one in it.
Is that C10 yours too? Or your Mom's
It’s my c10. It’s a 1964 C10. I’ll have some videos coming out about it soon! So stay tuned!
Sounds like a dodge when you try to start it
@@albertorodriguez6661 haha, I need noticed that till you said it
13:18 a little noisy... not in the good way
Exhaust leak at the head, I need to put on a new set of gaskets.
Motor has a serious miss. Get some new exhaust manifold gaskets now! Doesnt sound good at all. Doent look like your Pop knows much.
It’s just a leaking gasket. There’s no miss because before the gasket blew it was just fine. I do need to check plugs.
