From 29th November 1986, actress Jennifer Connelly and the monster Ludo from the film LABYRINTH appear on the BBC's Saturday Superstore show to promote the film.
i was a projectionist for this movie as well, it was a scary movie for the kids and a really great extension of the muppets for the adults, jennifer connelly, was a relatively unknown actress at the time, only made famous by the movie, and the abstractness of david bowie, and jim henson, it has stood as a classic movie just as i said it would at the time.
@@yosefdemby8792 Actually it is a Jim Henson film, Most if not all of the characters were made by Jim Henson's Creature company: "Jim Henson's Creature Shop," The film was also written by a british writer called Terry Jones of Monty Python fame. It was a collaboration between Jim Henson (the director) and Brian Froud after the success of Dark crystal. The production companies were Henson associates, and Lucas film.
Thank-you so much for uploading this - it's a really fantastic clip! There's nothing else like this on youtube so I really appreciate your taking the time and effort to upload it :). You've made this Labyrinth geek's day!
Thank you for posting this. Love it, but man it annoys me how they keep grabbing at the costume. Maybe it was rehearsed that way, but every time I watch I'm all "Get off him, geez!"
Jennifer was a sweetheart then and still is.
She is such a true beauty, I love her so much.
Agreed! Evn 2day she looks so gorgeous!
OMG She's gorgeous. And she can act.
You know she went to both Yale and Stanford. She quit for a lucrative movie career before graduating.
Awww love Ludo, he was my favorite!!🤗🥰
"Ludo! Call the rocks!" Hehe. I love this movie.
How those kids are just sitting there after just meeting Ludo is next to impressive. I would had gone absolutely bananas as a kid🤣
That one lady leading him was over the moon and I love it!
This made me smile

It's not a Muppet movie.

@@thetruthhurts7675 I knew that.
@@yosefdemby8792 So technically because Jim Henson owned the Muppets. It is, in fact, a Muppet film.
@@thetruthhurts7675 No, it's not! He made it especially clear that these creations are _not_ Muppets!
Ludo looks very real, their movements are quite good too.
Jennifer: so much concentration of beauty.
"his" movements. There wasn't gender fascism back then.
I love ludo

0:22 Thank goodness David Bow-wie was able to step in for David Bowie.
My mums favourite is Hoggle
the child in the background fills me with murderous rage - they should of told it to sit down and stop with the attention-seeking.
This goddess proves chubby cheeks are beautiful.
where is ludo now ?
+No One Well, strangely, I've seen the costume at some Comic-Con-like events, so it still exists! Not sure who owns it though ...
lucky ! Wow . Lucky who ever owns it !
David Howe woah seriously??
Costume? Are you trying to tell me he's not real?
Daisy Chain Of course he's real.
The host doesn't know how to pronounce David Bowie? ha
"The Blonde broad talks too much!"
Jennifer would have been 15/16 at the time.
This is 2 weeks before her 16th birthday.
She was 14 when she filmed the movie.
Time never say sorry to your youth.
