The reason she did the whole alphabet is because Tim showed Sophia the riff and told her to copy it on vocals and the ending of the riff has 26 notes so Sophia thought to put the whole alphabet

Ooooohhhh that makes it a little more interesting.

this is true! He came in with the riff and asked me to match lyrics to every note. I figured the longer notes would be easier to write to, so I started with the riff and noticed 26 notes. Alphabet = 26 letters, wrote the song backwards from there once i figured it out! Thanks for the review :)

Just for the record, when she starts singing in Japanese, she actually is going through the Japanese Alphabet to go along side the English one lol.

The "singing the alphabet" part is basically her way of showing off her singing skills the same way Tim, Scott, and the Clays show off their skills going wild with their instruments. From what I heard, supposedly Tim jokingly told her to keep up with that crazy fast riff with her vocals and match the pitch of each note, and she came up with that since it was the same amount of syllables as notes.
I wasn't sure how I felt about the way it sounded at first either, but it grew on me, especially after multiple listens. If you really want to learn to appreciate the skill it takes to do that more, all you have to do is simply try saying the whole alphabet that fast... let alone singing it pitch for pitch on that crazy Tim Henson riff. I tried it for shits and giggles and yeah, it didn't work out too well lol.

I'm not gonna lie, after the video I tried seeing how fast I can sing it. The answer was, not fast at all. In fact I think I even skipped some by accident.

@@HeWentRogue Yeah it's like some Eminem Rap God tongue twister shit, but if you added in the extra difficulty of changing the singing pitch every single syllable lol. She's definitely got talent. But of course even if you appreciate the skill, it's not gonna be everyone's cup of tea.
Which is kind of a summary of Polyphia in a nutshell. I think everyone who gives them a listen can appreciate the talent they have, but since they switch up their sound and genres so much almost everyone can find at least 1 song from them that they really enjoy, but not everyone is gonna love every single song they put out. That's what I love about them though, they're so unique and innovative.
I'd love to hear her on a darker or more serious track with them to see what she'd come up with. From what I heard of skimming through her solo music, this super upbeat "hyperpop" style isn't how she usually sings.

As far as the guitar hero comment, funny enough there are a lot of polyphia songs that are covered onto clone hero (guitar hero) however I talked to another guitar hero charter chezy on another reaction video, currently another charter is in the process of making the full chart for the public

    • @HeWentRogue

I like the idea of that. Guitar Hero introduced me to a lot of music and bands that I didn't know of and everyone should at least hear a few songs from Polyphia.

Those are not unrealistic male body standards. The guy is an average physically fit man. He’s not on gear, he’s not carrying around loads of muscle mass and I’d say he’s likely double digit body fat (low obviously). This is very easily achievable. It’s not Calum Von Moger, it’s just an everyday dude.

@@HeWentRogue lol, to be fair, Calum is a genetic freak. Just don’t want some kid who might watch this thinking they can’t achieve a physique like his. I enjoyed your reaction nonetheless, and that’s a dope Polyphia shirt you’re wearing. 👍🏻

Maybe try reacting to their song Nighmare, it's basically the oposite of this one, but also great. It's actually one of their best songs.
