It is truly incredible all that they have done for this game. I think another mind-blowing fact is that they somehow found a way to make this game more balanced than its predecessors despite having the most fighters in it by far.
live support played a big hand in that, especially live support that balanced buffs with nerfs, rather than heavily emphasize the latter like Smash 4 did.
Steve's reveal was the best part of 2020 for me. As a member of Gen Z, Minecraft was basically my entire childhood so to see it given so much love in Smash Bros made me kind of emotional.

I was actually more hyped about Vol 2 Fighter Pass than vol 1, only because they were more surprising additions, I wouldn't expect Sora or Steve to make it into smash, I would only think of them as a Mii fighter costume or some kind of spirit event

I wish the smash community had more respect for Byleth and FE in general. It's a really good strategy franchise with even better stories to tell.
@SharinganSakura I wholeheartedly agree. And the only games I've played are 3H and FE Heroes. And a demo of Awakening. Even so I know it's probably a pipe dream, but I'm hoping we'll get more new FE games on the switch since we got 3 on the 3ds.
I have tried Fire Emblem, and the series is just not for me. It's fine if you like it, though.
Right? People try and use the excuse of, too many sword fighters, and it’s just, we all know that’s not it. Just say you don’t like Fire Emblem and move on with your life. Hell… Most of the sword fighters, and some of the fire emblem characters, don’t even play the same as the other characters. Sea robin, Korin, and Bylith. Hell… Even Ike doesn’t play the same as the rest of them. The only ones that are technically the same character, are Marth, and Lucina. But, to be fair, there’s actually a good reason for that.

4:33 actually imo the best way to do those is going Medusa upgraded form, trade off attacks, and victini with ganondorf and then just walk in and spam smash attacks. A safer option but slower is going a strong 3 slot with gold Mario

You missed the part that Sephiroth's victory screen is really darn awesome and is probably the only character that has a unique victory screen! Wait, actually Joker has a unique victory screen as well.

If I had to change one thing about smash, I wish characters like Steve and the villager had customisable costumes. That way we could do things like play as our villager from new horizons or play as our favourite minecraft youtubers.

This is the greatest smash game. Change my mind
Maybe it is, but it is far from perfect. Single player content is lacking, online is awful for a game released in 2018, some characters have really outdated movesets (Ganondorf, DK, Sonic, Samus...). Not to mention the input delay the game has. Sometimes I feel like Ultimate is way more about quantity than quality
@@caioleite5579 I mean quality over quantity is pretty much a stretch because they take a lot of time polishing every characters movesets (as in how they function and how they’re balanced even though some are pretty uncreative) plus saying Single Player is lacking is kind of stretching it considering how long the world of light mode is but I see your point even if we do have Classic mode Home Run Contest, and Stage builder. The online I can kinda see but that’s kinda the internets fault sometimes for something like quick play. Playing Battle Arenas fine but quick play is pretty eh

I generally use a Super Incineroar strat for Spirit fights: I outfit him with a Level 99 Zacian and Zamazenta Spirit, gaining significant offense and defense and a series bonus due to being a Pokémon.
However, that strategy for Pyra/Mythra sounds good. I'll try it sometime.

Since wasn't much said about Byleth and Pyra/Mythra, I'll add my own comments.
I love how Byleth has all three weapons of the main lords: Edelgard's Axe, Claude's Bow, and Dimitri's Lance.
Which also means FE"s signature weapon triangle is represented with this moveset.
The voice acting on both Byleth's is amazing and shows that their VAs do an amazing job when Byleth gets to speak.
One of their victory screens represents 3H's game over screen.
Pretty much every one of Byleth's moves can break shields and I love it.
Having the 3H music in Smash is amazing because its one of the best OSTs in any game I've ever played.
The fact that there's so many characters from 3H on Garreg Mach's background is awesome. You can even see Pegasus Knights flying around in the background!
No God Shattering Star sucks, but we have Apex Of The World which is just as good.

I love how Pyra is made the stronger one while Mythra is the faster of the two--which is somewhat similar to how they function in game with Mythra moving quickly in cutscenes (though she is the stronger of the two.)
All of their specials are animated directly after their Blade Combo Attacks and are recreated flawlessly.
Mythra's down taunt is "Think you can take me?" which is an iconic meme-y line said by the Ardanian Soliders that you fight in game.
While it sucks we didn't get Rex, the fact that he shows up for their final smashes is cool.
The fact that Gramps speaks and comments on the battle as well as the Titans that appear in the background of the Alrest stage is nostalgic af.
Seeing the other XC2 party members in the background of this stage is also awesome.
Torna's battle theme is in smash. Nuff said.
