The thing about Donna to me that makes her so... SO important is her relationship with the Doctor. It's in no way romantic. The Doctor and Donna were something even more special. Best friends.
I love his friendship with Clara a lot more though. I think I can mention her by name, Brittany is far ahead on Patreon. I can't help it, but Donna somehow always annoyed me. And the Doctor Donna was the HUUUUUGEST Deus Ex Machina I have EVER seen....
1. Davros is totally insane. 2. The Daleks dont want to rule over anyone, they want to be the only lifeform in the universe. Whether they'd be happy with that, who knows.
Caan was sent back into the Time War, and he decreed "No More"......I wonder where he got that idea from, perhaps somone who left a message on a wall during the last day of the Time War
I think the doctor version is primarily time lord…he really is a sideways regeneration of the doctor, with some human thrown in to the physiology. Mostly time lord, including his brain. But Donna is primarily human, with some mental (not physical) time lord. And her human brain can’t contain it. Rose’s ending… I hated it.
This episode gets me every single time. Donna is my favorite companion and I honestly think she always will be. There have been some that have gotten close but Donna is just on another level for me. She has been since The Runaway Bride and I love her so much. In my clearly very biased opinion 😅 Donna’s goodbye was the saddest. I was bawling with Rose sure, but in the series 2 finale she did get to be with her family and now she got a human version of The Doctor she can have a life with. Martha left willingly and built a whole life for herself. But Donna?? Donna was willing to DIE if the alternative was erasing her memories. But because The Doctor didn’t want her to be dead, he erased her memories even with her begging him not to. I cry every single time because there is literally no bright side to this. Donna is right back where she started not thinking she’s special or clever or important. She lost something so valuable even if she doesn’t know what it is. And The Doctor…he has to go on traveling having lost his best friend knowing he can never see her again in order to keep her alive. Every part of Donna’s story just kills me every single time and I will never get over it.
Yeah, I was always pretty upset with how her story ended because she had such amazing growth and then we went seemingly right back to square one. I think that's part of why I was so thrilled to see her come back in the 60th specials. I know a lot of people were unhappy about it, but it righted a big wrong for me.

"Journey's End"--STARRING: EVERYBODY :) FEATURING: Almost EVERYTHING mentioned since the pilot :) Until the coming of the MCU (The Doctor's world was my *second* love growing up, with Marvel and DC being first), this was the ultimate!!!
I love pretty much all the companions to one degree or another, and Rose and Martha are definitely up there. But Donna will always be Number 1 for me, hands down. Her ending here was so heartbreaking. And in my opinion, she ended her run with what was truly the most tragic arc of any companion. 😭

I think Rose got a better deal. He’s the Doctor but having a finite human life he doesn’t have to worry about living forever after she’s gone. He can have a fully healthy human relationship with her. It’s freeing for him and makes him less guarded about his feelings. So the fact that it’s “not him” probably makes it better in those ways.
I still can't decide what would have been worse... Donna being dead having experienced everything.. Or donna having to forget everything and go back to who she was..
The part with The Doctor leaving Rose with the human Doctor was also meant to include them giving her a piece of the Tardis so they could grow their own, but it was removed because they thought people would want a spin off, but I still keep it as part of my head cannon

Consolation prize? He's the Doctor in every way that matters, except that he won't outlast Rose, they can actually have a life together, rather than him having to watch her wither away and she having to grow old watching him remain ageless.
Rose will have that life. Not the original Doctor that walks away. He continues to live the life he's been living. So it sort of is a consolation prize, because it would never have worked otherwise.
@@altinaykor364 First, that's far too many question marks. As Sir Terry Pratchett once so wisely stated, “Multiple exclamation marks,' he went on, shaking his head, 'are a sure sign of a diseased mind.” - the same can be said of Question Marks. Second, It's literally the best thing Rose (and the 'human' Doctor) could have hoped for, being able to live an actual life together. This isn't a comment on how 'good' it is for The Doctor himself.
The fourth Doctor (Tom Baker) was sent back by the time lords to stop the Darlaks from being created Sarah Jane Smith and Harry Sullivan. The three of them met Davros when he first created the Darlaks.
Fortunately, my Patrons had me jump ahead to watch that specific story, but I would ask that you refrain from sharing details about Classic Doctor Who as I am reacting to it as well and I'm only in the final story of season 10.
17:22 That would never work. The gravity of the planet would pull the pieces of earth together. Meaning the shell of the earth would melt, and a few hundred years later, then cool and reform. No oceans anymore. Just a rocky earth.
Sure the gravity will pull it back together, but it would still get ripped apart which is the point. And it would probably take more like a millennia than 100 years lol

Technically, Rose was declared dead in the one dimension. It's my guess that's the death to which Dalek Caan was referring.

I think he mean Donna. True she didn't physically die but she everything she grew to become, all the personal growth... erased. The new Donna, dead.
