Not anything better than what the public has, that's for sure. The lie about the military having this crazy advanced tech that the public doesn't have is a myth that started like 50 years ago to keep people from going crazy thinking they were at risk of dying by nuclear fire. Now the military uses old garbage so that the military industrial complex can pocket all the money and get filthy rich now with no regulations thanks to reagan, bush, bush jr, obama, and now trump. The best drone tech the military has is not anything different from what you can buy in a standard DJI, just scaled up and over special RF (radio frequency) that no one could possibly buy or use unless you were military (for obvious national security reasons). Same thermal tech, same laser tech, same optical tech, same flight design and the same gps tech you would find at a store at a smaller scale. It's pretty sad when you see the outdated worthless garbage our military uses these days when lots of consumer off-the-self stuff is commonly better.

I hope the phantom 5 has at least 50 minutes of fly time, with the bigger fdorm factor compared to the mavic air 2 they could easly reach 50 minutes. DJI really doesn't want to release a phantom.
Until the batteries die or fall out and then it crashes. Getting NFZ clearance is still a problem so sorry, not for pro's.

@@akaredcrossbow I'm not sure exactly, but I heard it was supposed to be about 30% more than the m210 which is about a $10,000 drone, so realistically it's going to be $13-15,000
While that may sound like a lot, this is meant for industrial/commercial use, and when you are considering that a helicopter costs $1000-2000+ PER HOUR. If you are going to be doing any significant amount of aerial surveying or footage, it really makes sense to use a UAS if possible
@Al Castill name other commercial drones with a longer flight time im curious. The alta 8 certainly doesnt have anywhere near that flight time
