The people at the top know exactly what they're doing. It's the oldest sales trick in the book. If you want to make $150 you say the price is $200 and you take off $50 on a sale and then all of a sudden everybody wants it. They know the amount of money they have to bring in to make the company profitable. So they're saying everything is worth x amount of dollars higher than what it's actually worth so when they're giving away incentives they're getting what they actually want. Like a pawn shop. They have crazy high prices knowing that you're supposed to talk them down to what they need to actually sell it for. They're never going to price it for what they need to sell it for.
