Thanks Mr. Hayward, I started home gym very recently and recently working upon my shoulder seeing your shoulder workout. I must applause you for the post as I could see the effects within a week. Thanks a lot. Love you...
Thanks Lee for all these great videos! I'm definitely incorporating these into my workouts! I'm 20 and 145lbs right now and am hoping to gain as much muscle as possible over the next year. These workouts are gonna help!
What's good Lee, would you suggest completing one exercise (e.g biceps curl with a 15pound weight, then 20, then 25 etc, then move on to inclined dumbbell curl etc) as opposed to (biceps curl with 15 pound, then an inclined curl with a 15 etc)?
Good video, Lee. Just happened on it looking for a shoulder routine. Been lifting for about a year and trying to get some new ideas for a routine. Keep up the good work!
I've been doing this same shoulder workout for 2 years it's so addictive shoulders are now my favourite day do you think I should do a new routine?? I've been training properly 2 years thanks to signing up to your emails with videos I look amazing compared to my former self all thanks to your help with So many self proclaimed experts on youtube it's baffling to know who's advice is best so glad I found yours makes it easy on the novice beginer bodybuilder Thanks mate
Hi Lee. Great video! Nice and short with no waffle. And it's so straightforward that I won't have problems remembering all the exercises when I get to the gym or having to review the vid when I'm there. Awesome.
I do this routine with lighter weights due to a botched rotator cuff repair. I add a few other exercises that work the shoulders too. High reps help tone without the pain. I love doing the flys. Excellent vid.
.. can't thank you enuff for this basic shoulder workout... I've had a few different surgeries of the past few years and as I was getting back into the gym , I was at a loss for exercises that wouldn't cause pain or another issue... the bent over lateral raises are great but I started using the " plate raise " and have had no pain during the movement... thanks again and i hope to pick your brain from time to time..
THIS WILL NOW BE MY NEW ROUTINE WORKOUT FOR MY DELTS. THE QUESTION I HAVE IS DO U DO ALL 5 WORKOUTS (move from one workout directly to another) FOR 1 SET AND HOW MANY SECONDS REST?? IF SO, SHOULD START OFF HEAVY TO LIGHT OR LIGHT TO HEAVY??
looking good lee. thanks for uploading this i've been trying to find a good workout for shoulders bc i've been neglecting them thinking i was getting enough through back and chest exercises. good video...keep em coming.
thanks ,I have only been working out the front of my shoulders , I wanted to know how to work out the back and side of my shoulders this video did the job, thanks again for the video
Nice workout, Lee! Too many guys fail to mention that it takes covering ALL THREE areas of the shoulder! If you don't muscular imbalances are the result!
Hi Lee, I've been doing Standing Shoulder Press for about 7 months, and I have seen quite of an improvement in my front deltoids. Now my problem is my Side and Rear delts. They aren't as big as my front delts. I have been doing Lateral Raises and Rear Deltoid Rows, but I don't feel any improvements with those exercises. I use half of the weights I use in Shoulder Press for my Lateral Raises. For my rear delts, I'm going to try your exercise. Thanks :)
Do you combine shoulder workouts with other body parts or do you find it better to have one single shoulder workout? You're videos are great Lee! I am REALLY learning alot from them, thanks
Lee, thanks so much for making these videos. Very informative. I find that a lot of it just confirms what I'm already doing which is in and of itself extremely helpful and I also find excellent new things to add in that I never thought of. I had never heard of the Bradford press until you just showed it in your video. I'm doing shoulders tonight and that's going to be a great finisher! Thanks a bunch!
Monday- Triceps/Chest Tuesday - Legs/Shoulders Wednesday - Biceps/Back Thursday- Triceps/Chest Friday - Legs/Shoulders Saturday - Biceps/Back Sunday - Off OR HIIT, depending on goals. That's mine, like above^ you need the 2 days rest
howt31 u should do monday:legs/shoulder tuesday:chest/tris wednesday:back/bis thursday:legs/shoulder friday:chest/tris saturday:back/bis sunday:rest this works best for me, and i get enough rest for each muscle
awesome explaination and a great video. There r a lot of videos on shoulder workout but urs is the best with easy and fewer exercises and a great explaination
Hi Lee, I am impressed with this workout and doing this shoulder work out since three weeks. i have seen change in my shoulder muscles. i have two questions. 1) can i do the side lateral raise , rear deltoid raise on machines. 2) i am working out 2 days a week for shoulders, is it really good. thanks..teja
Absolutely AWESOME!!!!! You da man Lee. Thank you for this vid because my shoulders are doing great and it will help me get up on stage one day. Thanks again, Gino.
Hey Lee thanks a lot for an excellent workout for complete shoulder development!! I think your an excellent bodybuilder and fitness expert! keep coming with the great instructional videos:)
Are 5 Exercises enough for a good MASS workout ? I am just curious.I generally do like , 6,7 or even 8 Exercises for shoulders. My take on this is that i am only hitting shoulder once a week. So,why not hammer it as hard as possible & let it recover for 6 days until my next shoulder day.
Hey Lee i've been told that doing your workout slower is better, but seems that all these videos i watch everyone always does them a steady quick pace. Not too fast of course. Is there really a difference? Is it safe to assume that you would recommend to do them at the speed you show in this video? Because I do my workouts way slower than this and i don't even know if it works lol i mean i've seen results but maybe if i did it at your pace i will see more result?
Exactly Lee, people need to understand that these demos are for tuition purposes, I like to use them and modify them to what is comfortable for me, if you prefer 8-10 do that, 4-6 do that, as for his form, he must be doing something right to be that big
hey lee ive been follwing u for like 2 years im 44..i lost alot of weight and gained alot by u keeping things simple.im doing alot of home workouts particulay shoulders arms. ive been following a guy called buff dude. i feel like im taking to long of breaks in between reps and sets but i am going kinda heavy. usualy 1 min between reps and 2min in between sets/next exercise should i cut that down ?hanks ur great!
Thank you Lee -- I will start doing this workout for shoulders. It's not complicated. I've had rotator cuff problems & I went to therapy and I'm 99.9% strong and I really want decent shoulders. Thanx !
Thank you for the great video, any advice on how to progress with weight? I do a certain weight for full 3 sets, next week I increase the weight for the last set, then 3 with the new weight the week after. Is it too fast of weight progression?
Awesome stuff, Lee. Just curious, my workout is very similar to your routine but when I do the lateral raises, I bend my elbows at 90 degrees. Is it just as effective or is your way of slightly bending it make a whole lot of difference?
For awhile now I have been getting pain in my shoulders from lateral raises and bench press. What exercises would you recommend so I may continue with weight training?
My trainer told me that when you do side lateral raise, you dont have to bend in order to lift s the weight sideways. you are slightly bending cos you are doing this with heavy dumbell? my trainer told me, take light weight and dont bend, do the lateral raise straight. which is correct?
Lee this is the exact routine I use and I learned right here watching your vid. thnx. On the bent over dumbbell flies your using a natural grip. Wouldn't a pronated grip target the rear delt more or is there more risk of injury using a pronated grip for that exercise?
Dear Leemhayward, I am 6'3 and 204 libs. I want to work on my back muscles more but when I try to do pull ups I can only get around 3 at a time. I have no one to partner pullup with me. I do have a barbell bench and up to 50 lbs of changeable dumbell. I want to be able to do like 20 reps at a time. Thanks for reading and I hope to read a message back from you.
hey man i just did this workout today and they burned like hell, i love the pain tho you get addicted to that dont you ha. do you do this much??? and how long do you tink i should do tis work out for like 5 weeks??? i started on the steds 6 weeks now decca and susaton its working wonders :)

Great video, favorited it!
My friend keeps telling than doing more than 12 reps won't do any good, and it doesn't give any strength, how is it really?
My trainer told me that when you do side lateral raise, you dont have to bend in order to lift s the weight sideways. you are slightly bending cos you are doing this with heavy dumbell? my trainer told me, take light weight and dont bend, do the lateral raise straight. which is correct?
