Thank you so much for the inspiring story about the "Golden Tarot of Klimt"! I think this deep deck is undeservedly rarely talked about on the modern tarot internet. And I empathise with you about the challenging year of 2023! My year was one of the worst years of my life. Lots of bad events and incomprehensible physical health problems. I hope 2024 will be a brighter, kinder year for us and bring many wonderful days!
It is so strange how so many people had weird illnesses pop up. I'm hoping 2024 will be better right along with you. Golden Tarot of Klimt is one of my favs! Such a great deck! I agree it's not talked about enough for sure!
The Solara Occulto Meliora Tarot deck has deeply impressed me! I really love illustrations in this style. Thank you for the wonderful discovery! It is a pity that these cards cannot be ordered to my country
Hello! Happy New Year! 🎄 Thank you so much for your sincere story about the decks. I still have a very warm feeling. I am in another hemisphere, I found your channel for the first time, but it was like talking to a good friend. It's so beautiful! ❤ "The Citadel" is a strange instrument. It seems to me that his time must come. In my case, the oracle exceeded expectations. I didn't want to buy it out of the store for three months, I thought about canceling the order altogether. I bought the cards at the very last moment and was surprised by their accuracy in solving problems of any nature. I didn't expect it at all! I was preparing to buy just a beautiful shiny thing like a souvenir. P.S. Sorry for my terrible English.
Hi NiVinny! Thanks for following me, and I'm glad you're enjoying my content. 🥰 I totally agree with you. I feel that the time for The Citadel has not come for me yet. I feel that there's a lot of knowledge that can come through them, and that's why I haven't been able to bring myself to move them on. There are some extremely powerful images in it that really resonate with me. So I think I just have to wait till our time comes. I think your English is amazing! : )
The Solara Occulto Meliora Tarot is absolutely stunning. I also really enjoy Lo Scarabeo decks and purchased the Edmund Dulac Tarot a few months ago and immediately fell in love and forged such a strong connection instantly. The Arthur Rackham Tarot (and oracle deck as well) is also wonderful. Wanting to explore Bauer as well (this is purely cosmetic aesthetics but I just love the backs on Bauer Tarot lol.) What is your opinion on The unfolding path tarot? It reminds me of light seers (which I do own and although Strength is a repeater for me in many different decks and I tend to love many variations of that Major, the one is LS is really disappointing and a bit uncanny valley.) I’ve been practicing tarot/divination for about a year and a half and still consider myself an enthusiastic student, but I remember when I attempted to learn to riffle shuffle back then not really realizing certain card stock qualities and how that does affect shuffling. Well, let’s just say that deck got mangled, lol. Now I realize the error because of its thickness (I also have small hands) but it’s just a funny little tidbit that I am reminded by when I hear about that deck. Mangled is actually putting it mildly. Lol. So, just a PSA to anyone wanting to learn riffle shuffling, maybe don’t use Light Seers. Enough rambling, lol. Great video!
I haven't worked with the Unfolding Path Tarot yet, but it definitely gives me Lightseer vibes. Lol learning to riffle shuffle is always doom for a deck. I learned on a plain old casino deck, but even now, after many years, I still chip and catch my cards. I have trouble with my hands sometimes, so I tend to just overhand shuffle. I try to consider damage to my decks as they are well loved and used. : )
We have similar tastes/vibes. Thanks for this. Fellow Canadian here. I'd love to pick up the moonchild and she wolfe decks...can I ask where you ordered from? And does your shop ship out?
I got all of my Danielle Noel decks from her site. I bring in her stuff for my shop and add in an extra for me once in awhile. She-Wolf I bought from the creators' site as well. I do ship! As you know, it's hard to get these things (indie decks) in Canada, so I work to bring them into the country. My shop only ships in Canada, keeping them here. : ) Here's my website: www.myindigomoon.com
Quite interesting decks. While I generally don't like the art style, I do quite like the artwork of the decks by Rebecca Campbell. However ... I'm convinced they wouldn't work for me either. The Wayhome Tarot ... seems like a mismatch tarot to me. It's probably a great 2nd or 3rd deck for exploring different tarot approaches after having learned the tarot system with another deck. It's not a deck for me, I guess. However, when it comes to the fly agaric as hierophant: Choosing the most prominent and ancient shaman's plant in EurAsia ... is certainly not a bad choice for spirituality & tradition. The Calaca: Hmm ... the RWS doesn't work for me too well - so why should this one. And yes: That background blue is not a nice colour. The Citadel Oracle isn't a game piece. Yet - besides being strongly influencend by CG Jung's archetypes ... it is also heavily inspired by D&D or tabletop RPGs in general. I guess without a bit of an affinity for both ... the deck won't work. I'm not sure if I'll get a copy ... for I already do have a deck that functions in similar ways. This is a game piece. The D&D - Castle Ravenloft Tarokka. 1/2
I agree with your point about the fly agaric as the Hierophant and didn't quite think of it in that way. It's the colour of the card that throws me off the most. The whole card is bright red and white and doesn't match the decks' colour palette at all. It sticks out like a sore thumb. As for the Citadel, there is a special edition of it that comes as a game from what I understand. But I think how you said it was heavily inspired by D&D is where I get the game feel from. I'm not a gamer of any sorts.

Interesting choices and really appreciate the details about why you did/n't get on with a deck! Thanks for sharing your POV!
Thank you : )

Oh no! That's too bad. It's a good one.
You might like diary of a skeleton, that is one of my favourites for the year
I just check it out. Its cute and is definitely more of my colours. I might just have to pick it up! Thanks for the suggestion : )
That moonchild deck is beautiful. I totally forgot about that Shadow edition.
It really is! ♡
