I recently stumbled upon the cornette omnibus collection after hearing some of his other clips. Ended up listening to all the AEW related episodes l, and just finished the 2020 recap last night. Seeing this pop up just now is a late Christmas present!!
It’s sad that I had Jericho in my all time top 10 until he joined this company All he’s done is do damage to his legacy, reputation, character, and integrity in the last 3 years.
Sebastian Bach is a legend! I've been listening to this in chunks and it took me days to figure out who Sebatian Bach was. I thought he was a wrestler with a name like that. The Skid Row reference went right over my head. It's so much funnier now that I know he's just a musician, LOL!
I'd just like to thank Jim and Brian for this important historical document recounting one man's head first descent into his own arse. My favourite story? The one about the UK doctor telling him to stop singing. I'm a Brit myself and we always refer to our NHS staff as heroes (it would be lovely if the current Conservative govt would pay them as such but that's a different issue) and this is just more evidence to support our case. Happy new year to Jim, Brian and all the cult x
@@patrickwilliams6143 I'm. Talking about the contract that's been in force for the majority of the last 2 Conservative governments. The Cotract signed by blairs government which handed over almost total Control of NHS region funding to Consultants and Doctors. The NHS regions all have independent funding control, so if a service is underfunded in a region there's fuck all national gov can do about it. Same reason we can't get GP's to work nights, same reason we can't get enough doctors trained in the UK and rely on poorly trained poor English speaking foreign import GPs that actively fuck over the disabled and the trans community when it comes to funding allocations for those services due to religion. The GMC controls the number of places for doctors the government can fund in unis each year, meaning it's in GPS interest to keep numbers low as it allows them. To squeeze more. Money out each contract. It's also the reason that the national NHS computer system was a shitshow because EACH Region bidded seoerately and Nobody in the regions thought to check could the other regions kit talk to them and national government TOLD THEM THIS but couldn't force the regions to accept one system.. None of these things can be renegotiate so we are stuck with them until someone breaks the NHS burns it to the ground and builds something new. The issues with the NHS are fuck all to do with money and mostly the blame can be laid at the feet of Labour for that bloody contract.
What makes me sad is that young Jericho was an awesome talent. He was great in the ring, great on the mic, funny as hell...he was a highlight of the sport in the 90's and early 2000's. The problem as I see it is that Jericho fought hard to secure his spot in the industry, and now that he has done it, he has turned into the same self-serving jerk he used to rebel against. Because he's willing to do the occasional job and because of the inherent self-parody of the JAS he thinks he's a stand-up guy, even as he passive-aggressively buries younger talent.
Also, when someone like Jericho loses it should help the career of the guy that beats him. Help him go to the next level. The only person that he really elevated was Orange Cassidy but that eventually fizzled. No one knows or cares about that action guy that he just lost to and Jericho knows it
Just wanted to say thanks for signing the figures I sent away for Jim. Got to be the best Xmas present I had since my Ljn figures as a kid. Always look forward to another episode of your podcast
I got nothing bad to say about Jericho, as a fan attending a house show at the richo coliseum during his entrance he was nice enough to read my sign laugh then decide to sign it. Probably the only sign that was signed during the event live, felt pretty good.
Shout out to these guys for their clips and how they chop them up and how they put them in a little section in his page where they'll just play back to back instead of you having to make your own playlist or something of that nature Jim and Conan have the top two best podcasts out there
I honestly dont mean this as much as a dig as it'll come off as but the more I hear and see from Jericho the more I equate him with Vince Russo. Ie great ideas mixed with a lot of crap but crap a VKM or equivalent can turn into something good. Now that the gaurdrails are off in AEW, we're seeing a lot of stuff that probably got turned down in WWE.
The next Omnibus should be Jim explaining wrestling history - not just his role in it, or booking, and show dates as in the JCP Omnibus etc. AEW dominates too much of the podcast as it is. We need an Omnibus with all the clips where Cornette explains what shoots are, where he speaks about WCCW and his dealings with the Von Erichs, his comments on Gary Hart, the concept of catch wrestling, all that type of stuff. That would be the best Omnibus ever. The "In the News" Omnibus is similar, but not really what I mean. Essentially: everything related to the territories, and wrestling terms, history, etc, outside of JCP, OVW, WCW, AEW, NXT, and WWE. I try to make such playlists myself but the clips are hard to search through. I would put this Omnibus together myself, if I had the time, and if I could get access to clips with metadata so they're searchable and can be categorised. But yeah, a history of wrestling terms, territories outside JCP, comments on historical figures, moves, moments. That would be the greatest of all the Omnibuses, in my opinion. It would be a product, a compilation, that nobody else could come close to making except Jim, and Brian. It would be the greatest audio compilation of wrestling history, in history.
"fuck your ass" is so insane to both jim and brian that they forget he's said it multiple times and lose it every time they hear it, it's so fucking funny to me. it's perfect.
Please, can we have a Russo Omnibus? I know some of the good rants were in the alternate universe of the Alice days, but for historical purposes they should be included in a Shitstain compilation.
For me, Jericho has a career that was one of the all time greats and was one of my all time favourites. But..... there is a huge dividing line of what came before and after 2019. As much as I enjoy AEW (mostly) Jericho's AEW run has in parts been awful. If I watch his early 2000s matches I remember how much I loved him and his matches back then, just makes the last couple of years more tragic
I can’t believe Im actually gonna finish this in one days time. It’s glorious. The pure disconnect from reality that Jericho has is something to behold.
I respect Chris Jericho a lot and was a fan of his for many years. I haven't liked a lot of what he has done in AEW. Some things have been absolutely appalling, like the ballroom dancing segment with MJF for example.... but it is the wrestling BUSINESS so even though he is self serving, he's doing well as far as his business is going, he's not going to miss a payment on his mortgage or anything like that, so kudos to him because despite the crappy stuff he has been doing in AEW, he has worked very hard in the wrestling business for a number of years.
@@GrahamLopezIV if you were Jericho though, why would you retire?? He's still doing what he loves doing and making a load of money at the same time. I don't think any of us would retire if we were in that position.
It always sucked because having a 50 year old WWE midcard guy as your champ made them look bush league. AEW was doomed from the start because there was no legitimate guys to take.

I got the "ipso fatso" part right before I fell asleep and it killed me too. How did I forget about this masterpiece?
I recently stumbled upon the cornette omnibus collection after hearing some of his other clips. Ended up listening to all the AEW related episodes l, and just finished the 2020 recap last night.
Seeing this pop up just now is a late Christmas present!!
It’s sad that I had Jericho in my all time top 10 until he joined this company
All he’s done is do damage to his legacy, reputation, character, and integrity in the last 3 years.
Is it because he voted for Trump or because of what he did in wrestling?
@@GrahamLopezIV the politicking burial and hating of people who get more over than he does
Sebastian Bach is a legend! I've been listening to this in chunks and it took me days to figure out who Sebatian Bach was. I thought he was a wrestler with a name like that. The Skid Row reference went right over my head. It's so much funnier now that I know he's just a musician, LOL!
I remember all of that. Bach can really go in on a guy.
Also, the only Fozzy song I've ever liked was Enemy.
@@Violent_Wolfenenemy and Judas slap.
Band has two good songs, wouldn’t matter if Jericho wasn’t a loon.
PERFECT DESCRIPTION. Fantastic choice for an omnibus by Jim and Brian.
The "Clap for the NHS" was just for them telling Jericho not to sing anymore.
The reason the NHS is fucked is the power of the consultants and Doctors sadly.
The contract gave them the power that allows them to fuck things.
@@jediknight1294 Are we talking about the contract the new government has negotiated?
No one knows or cares about that action guy that he just lost to and Jericho knows it
The best late Christmas gift we have ever received.
Last few years was better, when they did a "best of".
Just wanted to say thanks for signing the figures I sent away for Jim. Got to be the best Xmas present I had since my Ljn figures as a kid. Always look forward to another episode of your podcast
29:29 absolute best segment. jericho was buried hard here. id argue he was publically executed.
the real gimmick creator buries the impersonator
The Jericho vs Bach stuff is solid gold.
I got nothing bad to say about Jericho, as a fan attending a house show at the richo coliseum during his entrance he was nice enough to read my sign laugh then decide to sign it. Probably the only sign that was signed during the event live, felt pretty good.
"...Bryan, we're not being positive."
😂😂😂
My favorite omnibus. I've been falling asleep to it for a few nights now. Goodnight everybody!
God Sebastian Bach owned Jericho so hard lol
Sebastian Bach is the kind of person you aren’t going to win an argument with. You just shut up. 😂
Just listened to the first hour and this is gold. Thanks for this, it's going to be my companion for the holiday weekend.
5:15:41 is beautiful. Sounds like a lost Leonard Cohen lyric. "You can melt down just from everybody loving ya...if ya doin' too much..."
Jericho MUST never see this. If he finds out there is over 6+ hours devoted to him. That’s all we will here in 2023. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
*Hear not here.
Jericho saying that he’s a better singer then the lead singer of skid row is pretty wild💀
The Ayatolla of Rock n Rona still makes me chuckle.
Hmm maybe the Ayatollah of Rice a Roni (the San Francisco treat)😂🦃 Gobbledygook!!
Thats always gonna be Van Peebles for me
Find someone who pleases you as much as Chris Jericho pleases himself.
I really hope we get the Jelly Nutella omnibus I've been asking for 🤞🤞
Yes please. That would rock.
It would remind people of his existence which I don't think is a good thing lol
Superb content! Had me in tears of laughter. Cornette is god
Hey shrimp 🦐
Damn I love these omnibus episodes as I could listen to James E Cornett and the great Brian Last all day long but have heard all the shoots.
Jericho literally did the “your dads a drunk” storyline with Punk in WWE 🤣 bruhs actually insane
Shout out to these guys for their clips and how they chop them up and how they put them in a little section in his page where they'll just play back to back instead of you having to make your own playlist or something of that nature Jim and Conan have the top two best podcasts out there
Brian said that trailer park boys is one of the best shows ever and I fully support that statement💯
I love the clip with the high-pitched sigh where Brian makes fun of Jim that was gold
I would love this.
❤
"fuck your ass" is so insane to both jim and brian that they forget he's said it multiple times and lose it every time they hear it, it's so fucking funny to me. it's perfect.
It should become a traditional greeting.
Please, can we have a Russo Omnibus? I know some of the good rants were in the alternate universe of the Alice days, but for historical purposes they should be included in a Shitstain compilation.
Who's Alice? Was she another cohost? I've been listening for about 2 years I think and I don't remember a female cohost.
@@SpiralPoli Alice was indeed the first co-host before she quit and Brian Last took over. She is not fondly remembered.
@@chriswhite82 She wasn't the first co-host, but apart from that you're right.
@@candidfrost4138 Oh. I don't remember whoever came before Alice, I didn't listen that far back.
Yes please. I love listening to him verbally dismember Russo
Honestly if Jericho had just retired after he dropped the AEW title he would have been goated.
This is over 6 hours of pure golden wrestling commentary, thank god for Jim cornette
There has GOT TO BE a part two
I had forgotten about the Sebastian Bach stuff. Hilarious!
I've been waiting for this omnibus for at least 2 years
5:22:10 🤣 The moment Jim just loses control
Thank you!! I was rewatching just to find this
Jericho rabbiting on in the background as Jim loses control makes it even funnier.
Jim Cornette is my fucking spirit animal
Took me a few days at a time but I finally listened to the entire omnibus
I can’t believe Im actually gonna finish this in one days time. It’s glorious. The pure disconnect from reality that Jericho has is something to behold.
@freespeechordie2252tbf I listened to this in one long fuckin car ride lol
I've listened to this about 3 times since the start of the new year....it's so good.
This is like a documentary of Chris Jericho's descent to madness.
I’ve got my Friday plans settled, thanks Great Brian
Do you think Tony Khan uses the pseudonym "Mark Booker" when he's trying to be incognito when signing into a hotel?
I'm glad Jericho never made Corny sign an NDA.
He's totally gonna bury Ricky Starks.
@manchujw22 It's 90% because he's a Trump supporter, 10% because he didn't retire 10 years ago.
@@GrahamLopezIV if you were Jericho though, why would you retire?? He's still doing what he loves doing and making a load of money at the same time. I don't think any of us would retire if we were in that position.
@@GrahamLopezIVnah his politics makes him a moron it's his work that makes him now a shit wrestler
All this omnibus stuff is absolute top tier but we need a Charlie from stockvile omnibus
who'd of thought sebastian bach would wind up being the jim cornette of rock and roll.
Kicking down the door with the insurrection observation! Way to set the tone for the ensuing insanity!
Parlay in pirate speak is a phrase meaning to negotiate or come to a deal (especially with an opponent).
The beginning of Jerichos AEW run was so perfect. What happened
He became what he despised in WCW without realizing it. He’s gone from Jericho to Jerichogan.
It always sucked because having a 50 year old WWE midcard guy as your champ made them look bush league. AEW was doomed from the start because there was no legitimate guys to take.
@@zlinedavid Don't insult Hogan like that.
Started with the Matt Hardy thing and ever since he’s been on one of the worst prominently featured runs in wrestling history. Just shit upon shit upon shit. And he was the only reason to watch a lot of the time in the early days
I think Tony worships him and Jericho let it go to his head.
The transition from Y2J into I2J... Insurrection is Jericho.
He took “Break The Walls Down” too literally.
@DillyDilly13 cool story lady. Tell that to all of the people who’ve been jailed behind it so far.

The Rise and Fall of Chris Jericho
AEWs Hulk Hogan
You either die Monday Night Jericho in WCW, or live long enough to become Hollywood Hogan in AEW.
When it comes crashing down and it hurts inside…
The big difference being, of course, that Hogan is one of the biggest stars in the history of wrestling, and Jericho thinks he's a megastar, but in reality, was never a big draw.
Imagine making the easiest 5 plus million a year, from a mark, while in your 50s, after having put years of quality work in and having destroyed your body… wouldn’t you jack off too? Piss in Khan and the Elite face for all I care.
Oh Jesus Christ... The rise and downfall of the Mid Life Crisis known as Chris Jericho, also going by Jerichud, Jeridolt, Jeribloat, Jerifat and soon Jeribalding
Oh, I've been reminded of the touch screen airbrushing. Forget politics, government, locker room or otherwise. That's tell for narcissism, or insecurity, some kind of complex a health professional should probably diagnose and treat. I chose to forget that and just cling to my good memories of Jericho, let's see if I can forget it again.
Yeah, I remember Jericho listing Ring Of Honor first among "shitty indies", later he's ROH champion and "always" a fan of Colt Cabana's work. This guy is something else.
Holy shit. Nearly 7 hours of Jericho. This is gonna be interesting
As far as future Omnibus collections are concerned, it feels a little criminal that we don’t have one with all of the song submissions yet lol
That would be great! There are some TH-cam channels with partial collections in the meantime (and in-between time)
They can't clear the copyrights. That's why they cut them out of the TH-cam full podcasts.

Me too.
Oh my god. Welp, fuck working today.
It’s Friday, December 30th. You should be thinking that anyway. 🤣
There should be a Daria credits style video where we see all the Travis Heckel Jims from throughout the year.

Chris Jericho is what happens when a video vixen from 1988 becomes a professional wrestler. Like one of those MARVEL 'WHAT IF..." comics. Lol
I compare Chris Jericho in AEW to Triple H in WWE during The Reign of Terror....a pretty decently built and established star left to his own devices because there are no other big stars to divide the spotlight
My gosh this is like a new Ken Burns documentary dropping. Happy New Years to all.
6:11:52 "we don't want guy going into business for themselves or girls" - Tony Kahn 💀💀💀💀
Sure hope Brian addresses Jerichos tweets at him earlier in the week when they get back!
That would be awesome
So that's where the sudden influx of "say it to Jericho's face" comments are coming from.
This is a masterpiece “WHO IS THIS WEASEL!?”
In Jericho's defense, I recently watched King Of The Ring 2002, he did have the best match on that show.
Somebody called him “Thick Jericho” on some other comment section. Needless to say, that stuck with me.
Ipso Fatso got me lol
Since Chris had been my favorite wrestler since his WCW days, this makes me really sad more than anything else.
Same, but it's just opinions Dude. At the end of the day who cares what others believe?
