as an entitled brat disguised as a youtuber who wants to test products, I always ask the attendants to do it for me, worst they can say is no and kick me off the plane midair, so why not? 😜

I truly appreciate your sense of humor! Hopefully, you are trying to be funny! I had a quick question about your seat in 21k in the separate small business class cabin. What are your thoughts on that cabin. I am flying to Hong Kong in a couple of months and was torn between that seat and a seat in the main business class cabin. The "complaints" online are that the small business class cabin seats see a lot of traffic from Premium Economy passengers using the lavatories - did you experience this? Otherwise, I really like the idea of being in a quiet little cocoon. thanks!
there are a few people who did go through, but the traffic is still significantly less than all the business class poeple going to lavatory and also flight attendants walking around. I would recommend the small cabin if you do not mind a tiny chance they may take your meal order last and thus may not have all the options.

oh hey thank you so much for watching and your kind words! if you have very high status with oneworld, especially cathay pacific, I am talking about Emerald level. you have a decent chance of getting automatically upgraded. I reckon it is around 20% or so. But YMMV. asking by arriving early makes little difference.
There was a CX lounge @YVR (guess it’s closed now?) and STAR passengers can use the AC lounge. Just flew CX A350 and found the J seats horrendous and IFE virtually impossible to navigate. Fortunately this was only a 4-1/2 hour flight to CGK…return of the same fare you bought albeit did the first part back in November.

this grading is only for business class. not all airlines have or take pride in business class. but that video surely deserves a sequel for all the other airlines.

Well. I like your videos. I'll watch them either way. But for the algorithm maybe set up a flight review channel, so people interested in that content can go there. Look at Nonstop Dan... he has flight reviews on one and then when he visits a place he has a channel for for that which is far less popular. I enjoy all your content but you have a lot of different things going on. If you're not subscribed with alerts it would be difficult for TH-cam to recommend a video of yours to someone who likes flight reviews. Or someone looking for videos if a specific city. Just something to think about.

I already have a headache large enough for one channel, starting a different one should be necessary but I am not sure if I can do both at the same time since it is just a fun thing for me to do. You could have actually done SkyTeam Alliance all the way from Vancouver to Bali this requires a DL🇺🇲 KE 🇰🇷KL🇳🇱AF🇫🇷 MU🇨🇳 frequent flyer mileage which you can use on your Korean Air Vancouver to Seoul and Garuda Indonesia/Korean Air Seoul to Bali. AS milage is part of Oneworld which allowed you to get milage on CX QR flights. You could have actually done it using Air Canada Canada Star Alliance milage Vancouver to Bali via Singapore Tokyo and Seoul. YVR to CEB CX & KE are better than PR via MNL
yes. on their own program, very consistently within 15 days. on partner program, AA seems to get it semi-consistently within a week. while AS gets it in 3 days.
smaller is generally better. quieter, less foot traffic, and more intimate. However, it has a small chance of: rare case of screaming baby in the front of premium economy, some silly economy passenger who breaks the curtain barrier and wander around to stretch in the galley, also a potential of not having your preferred meal option.
I took Cathay business from HKG to JFK in november..The food was horrible as it was in 2019. They changed the menu and quality back then. Those new seats on A350 aren't made for large shoulder anymore. Back pain and shoulder pain. I prefer old EVA airways plane or air Canada.

Well they didn't have to construct it. They just updated an existing space. So it's not as expensive probably. .. that is a weird place to start though.
I dont like that the lounge is not 24/7 especially given the current limited flights and overnight layovers. We could not even leave the airport to check into a hotel because of current quarantine regulations. While I cannot wait for Cathay to fully claim its former glory, currently QR is at least slightly ahead in terms of long haul J class product in my opinion.
there is no more quarantine restrictions, you can overnight at an airport hotel now. but I just flew through HKG yesterday and they basically eliminated all first class lounges and only had 2 business class lounges operating limited hours. The Wing used to be first, but now it is open for business too.
@@beyounged Good to hear no more restrictions, no more swabs as well? Yes, when we were there last December only Wing and Pier were open. Wing for mainland and red zone passengers if I am not mistaken. Pier for everyone else.
yes no more of any restriction in place, I guess after the sudden opening they cannot cope with the two zones mingling so they just decide to accommodate business passenger in Wing
man. cant believe the garbage and mask from the previous passenger are still there and u dare to touch the mask yourself. did the garbage got cleaned up right away? the garbage and the mask will drive me nuts and would have spoiled the mood of my flight by 2/3 already. u have been lucky to have the flight attendant to come to set the bed for u. i didn't have the same service when flying from toronto to hong kong in 2019. i am feeling so jealous. anyway. very good video. keep going man.

Lost confidence in Cathay when they Cancelled flights on numerous occasions. Once not even telling me. I fly with anyone but them now. Their prices are crazy expensive now.
Sorry to hear about that. That must be disappointing. Yeah prices are quite high now from my perspective as a HK citizen as well - hopefully they can ramp up capacity sooner rather than later.

yes. but this was shot October 2022, most airlines have not resumed DPS yet, such as MU. also transiting in China was prohibited.

not sure if I get you. I think for their fleet, this one on A350 is the best business product.
