      Wow! Thank you! I've had a toe stop come off without me knowing and I slammed forward. Luckily I caught myself and didn't hurt my wrists but it sure gave me a huge scare. So maybe that conditioned me a little. 🤣🤣 Thank you for the compliment. 🦋💜🌌

    This was comforting to hear and see! I also just got the radar 57 for outdoor rink skating. I’ve heard some people say they use 90a and up for this same rink, but I felt kinda wobbly in 84a wheels. I got a bit nervous thinking I purchased the wrong durometer. Anywho, I’m excited to give these a shot!

    Should I get all new skates with 57mm wheels or switch out my current set (62mm)? I’m more of an outdoor skater but it’s usually on smoother pavement unless I’m skating to where I practice or on a mixed terrain boardwalk. I want to switch my wheels to see if the weight of them feels different than my current set, which are nice on all terrain but sticks a tad at rinks. I suspect they are also the reason I can’t fully execute some dance/rhythm moves since they make my skate clunky and I’m pumping more than gliding at times. Just sucks bc I recently bought Luminous black glitter wheels ✨ I’ll have a little collection of wheels soon lol

    • @Tani.Coy.RollerMama
      @Tani.Coy.RollerMama  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It just really depends. If your style of skating is different in the rink vs outdoors (you dance skate at rink but trail or park skate outdoors) then 2 different setups would be good. If you do the same style indoor and outdoor than just having different sets of wheels each that have their own bearings you don’t have to remove every time you change your wheels would probably suffice. I personally have trail, artistic and rhythm style skate setups and it does make life easier. Hope this helps. 💜

    • @Tani.Coy.RollerMama
      @Tani.Coy.RollerMama  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you! If you want to do more trail or path skating. Even rougher pavement you'll probably want to go with the 62 mm. If you are going to be on a smoother surface and want to do more dance style I think the 57 mm are better. I'm sure you could always reach out to them and they would probably help you. And yes this rink is perfection. I feel very fortunate. 🦋💜

    Curious if you noticed you skate slower/had more control with these vs the bigger 62-65mm wheels? I've got 62mm bpm atm and they're so fast and tall & im still very new (again) on skates. I was wondering if the smaller wheel would help me feel more in control/stable.

    • @Tani.Coy.RollerMama
      @Tani.Coy.RollerMama  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What surface are you skating on? You could maybe try slightly tightening your wheels so they don’t spin so freely. This might help you slow down a bit.

      @@Tani.Coy.RollerMama patio concrete. I'm gonna try a few things for sure. I'll see if my other wheels are any better. Maybe it's cause these are brand new and still a little slippery. I'll get eventually, just experimenting for now 😅

      @@Tiffany-Rose Okay. If your patio is smooth the Radar 57’s could possibly be better. Imo they are a great wheel to have and makes doing more dance type moves easier. On the rougher surfaces outdoor, like trails, I personally trip up a lot more with the 57’s. That’s when the 62-65mm wheel is much better.

    • @Tani.Coy.RollerMama
      @Tani.Coy.RollerMama  3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Jam plugs are useless on concrete. The whole point is it protect the wooden floor from the metal plate on your boot. On concrete, you'll just wear it down in 2 seconds.

    • @Tani.Coy.RollerMama
      @Tani.Coy.RollerMama  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They work great to keep Toe Covers on and mine are still holding up good 3 months later. Probably because I avoid dragging them on the concrete when I can. Lol!

    • @primrosedeluna
      @primrosedeluna 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well you can always do a Tstop to avoid shredding your plug. Mine is already getting messed up on my right foot but not exactly from stopping on it, more from a bad fall I had and tried to use it last minute 😂 I switched to plugs because my toe stop (sure grip fame boot) kept tripping me up and getting stuck when I was ready to do more rhythm skating. Also, I don’t really like how toe stops look lol
