    Thank you for mentioning the thing about the need for shorter toe stops! Helps me a lot I just ordered the wheels and now I can order that too :D

      My pleasure! Though ideally if you are ok with jam plugs (dance/toe plugs) those would work best. But if you still use toe stops then I definitely recommended the Suregrip Carrera as the thinnest I've found so far. It's not 100% but it's better than anything else as far as using toe stops with those wheels go. And you also want to check if your plates allow for such a small size in wheels, fyi!

    Supper helpful for new skater like me, I like how you describe the toe stop progression is required :)

      Thank you. But I do want to note that toe stop progression is NOT required. Such things are super personal to each individual skater and, honestly, my advice to anyone who is starting out in rollerdancing would be to NOT use a toe stop and get used to toe plugs from the get go because then you don't have this habit of using toe stops to break away from in the future, which is what I'm dealing with. I only used toe stops because I started out street skating and then switched to rollerdancing and that's all I do now. I am dealing with looming hand surgery so it's not the time for me to go away from toe stops but when my hand heals etc. I will be trying to leave toe stops behind. I hope that makes sense. But if roller dancing isn't your focus and you are street or park skating, then you def need toe stops.

    Thanks so for this.I’m looking for a wheel to replace my moxi gummies. I just started skating a couple of weeks ago (after 30 years) and yesterday I took my new skates to the rink but had problems with manoevering due to the size and stickiness. Would you suggest to try a bigger wheel than the radar Crush or go ahead with these and a smaller toe stop?

      My pleasure and I appreciate your tuning in, thank you!
      So here's my convoluted two cents... a lot of it depends on your current level, skate style, goals etc. What type of skating are you mainly doing?
      I am a middle skater/rollerdancer both at the rink and outdoors. I LOVE these wheels but because I'm not off toe stops yet, and won't even try to be until my hand surgeries are behind me, I have stopped using them because the toe stop gets in the way. The thinnest stops I have found are the Suregrip Carrera toe stops and they aren't thin enough and have been irritating me to no end. So if you are good with toe plugs, then these wheels are great both indoors and outdoors and I'd recommend the seafoam ones as they have a slighlty higher durometer for that slip without being very slippery. But if you are still on toe stops and you want to get into footwork, the combo of toe stops and these wheels isn't great.
      Most of my mentors and skate OGs I know love and swear by Rollerbones, namely 57mm 98a durometer wheels. That's next on my list of wheels to try when I decide to buy more wheels but for now, I have been using the Suregrip Artistic Fame wheels in a 57mm 95a durometer and have been surprised at how much I love them. I have a video I shot for them but I don't like it so I have to redo it. They are interesting because I thought that at 95a durometer they'd be crazy slippery and they aren't. They even have a slight stickiness that needs to be worn down and I even am comfortable skating outdoors with them, which is HUGE for me because I am annoyingly delicate and complicated and such a creature of habit that for outdoors my Radar Energy 57mm 78a durometer wheels have been my go to so the fact that I am enjoying my Fames is huge. On rougher terrain I still opt for my Radar Energy wheels but since I don't really skate around like mad nor at high speeds and mainly focus on dancing, the Fames are amazing pretty much everywhere for me, including at the rink, and I think they'd be great for the rink for you too. I have been using them with the Suregrip Carrera toe stops and they are fab. I still need to eventually get off toe stops because they DO get in the way of footwork but the combo of toe stops and these wheels is easier to handle than the Radar Crush wheels.
      I hope this helps!

      Thanks again! I’m definitely not ready for toe jams. The rollerbones were on my list but I’ll have a look at the fames as well.
      I’m not a beginner beginner and I like dancing in general so roller dance is the direction I want to go.
      As well as some cruising around town. I’ll let you what I choose and how they feel! Also Ill go to smaller toe stop to start getting used to that as well.
      Keep up the great content!

      @@MizBoheMia Looks like I'll have to go for the Radar Energy 57mm because I can't find the Roller bones or the Sure Grip Fame here in the Netherlands... It seems that the later is out of stock almost everywhere at the moment... Im just a little concerned that the Radar at 78a will be sticky at the indoor rink. What is your take on that?

    • @MizBoheMia
      @MizBoheMia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sribecco Ah, that sucks! Honestly, I wouldn't get the Radar Energy wheels for indoors. At 78a they are the same durometer as your gummies so you'll have the same issues. Can you maybe find either the Fames or the Rollerbones wheels on eBay if they can't be found anywhere else? Or if you know of anyone traveling to the Netherlands from the US maybe they can get some for you?

    If you dance, have you considered jam plugs?

    • @MizBoheMia
      @MizBoheMia  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have juuuuust now switched to them. I haven't been able to before because I had to hold off until after my hand surgery. I injured myself back in 2021 and toe stops have helped me steer clear of many a fall, even when dancing, But I am healing well now (2 months post op) so I finally switched.

    On wheels that are so small, maybe you're ready for jam plugs...?

    • @MizBoheMia
      @MizBoheMia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Back then I wasn't AT ALL which is why I stopped using them because they don't gel with toe stops... at least for me given that I rollerdance. But it's been a long while now that I'm on toe plugs and though my go to wheel are my rollerbones, I DO use my 88a Radar Crush wheels at home on my extra slippery floors. It's making me itch to try their new 98a Radar Domino Wheels! 🤪
