I have a 1998 ZXI 1100 and the electrical box issue. I can bypass the electrical box and it will start. Before removing the replacing the solenoid I would hear one click when i turned it to "ON" after replacing the solenoid I NO longer get the click. What did I break to stop the one click.
@mark8038 check out my videos on how to test a solenoid. Also have a short on testing the stop button. I would try jumping the solenoid. If you watch my jet ski videos you should be able to troubleshoot it. Might need to test the wires from your start switch. They are different on the ZXIs. Might be a wire is unhooked or wired up wrong.
The start circuit should be open until you press the start button. The stop circuit is open if it has a lanyard and is in place. If ot doesn't have the lanyard style it's an open circuit until you press the stop button.
@@JetSkiBuyFixPlaySellChannel Do you have a black and orange wire that comes out of the junction box at the top? If so where do those connect? I have a orange and white connecting to the relay but then have a black and orange still.
Just what I needed to diagnose my X2's 750 Big Pin starter, stop/start issues thanks!!

Should my switch should have continuity even there's no battery connected to it I can just wire and check for continuity

If you look at my shorts videos there's one on doing a continuity test on the stop button.
Where are the stop wires from the button connecting to?
They go to the cdi box to kill the spark. Not used in this video to simplify it.

@@gavinvezendy7493 you might check out the Kawasaki X2 group on Facebook. You can get answers a lot quicker.
Did you have to take the motor out to get at that starter?
What ski are you working on? I can get the starter out on most Kawis with the engine still in. On some the exhaust needs to come out.
