Bro thank you so so much. I went to the dealership changed out the brake harness, battery and brake light switch, even had to leave my car there for a day. This morning I look at this video and ran outside to try this. My man you are a true champ thank you so much!
Thank you so much. My brother call me about starting issue of his Hyundai sonata 2012 model, then on my research I found your video. It works like magic. Everyone is saying I am an expert. ☺️
Thank you had this problem this morning with my car didn't go to work cuz I couldn't start my Hyundai sonata until I looked up the problem and found your video and did what you said and my car started right up thank you so much ❤for helping me out with finding out that it wasn't something else wrong with it thank you 🙂
Lol, this was good! I was watching my guy trying to figure out fuses and disconnecting the battery and then I just saw your video and it was like magic! He Keeps saying Thank you Thank you and wonders wth I did lol! Thank you
I am having same problem with hyundai sonata 2013, so I tried to shift gear to N and back P couple of times and it worked, and thanks for 10sec tricked it worked aswell, but what's the cause? Weak break sensor?
You’re the absolute best . Thank you thank you thank you was about to walk a mile to get a fucking brake pedal sensor …. That’s what the problem is by the way. The brake sensor locaster on the brake pedal brakes off
I was so frustrated with my vehicle cuz I replaced the battery in my key fob, and made sure that my shift lever was in park and turned blue instead of white. I tried several different troubleshooting videos that I was looking at. But I think I'm going to try that and see if that works
Did the brake pedal stay where you had pressed it when it wouldn't start? Mine turned over just a bit, like a quarter second then - nothing. The brake pedal was just stuck there. If I tried pressing the start button with the pedal stuck where it was the dash told me to press the brake pedal? I tried holding down the start button for 30 seconds that I had seen someone do in another video, but had no luck with that. Called my mechanic and explained the problem, and it started right up (of course). I ended up driving it to the dealer for a diagnostic. They said it might be a problem that's covered under the 15 year unlimited mile warranty, but we'll see. In the meantime if anyone has seen this before please let me know what the fix was - Thank you!
I have this same issue. I try to start the car but can’t as the brake pedal is so stiff, that I can’t press the pedal to push button start it. It’s a 2021, taking it to Hyundai Tuesday to be fixed, no clue what could be wrong
When you push on the brake too much you get brake fluid in there and it doesnt need all of it so what u do is take off brake fluid cap and it will relieve pressure
For anyone wondering what the root of the problem is… check your brake sensor above your brake pedal its a black and grey piece connected to a white sensor it might need to be replaced due to a recall.
Was your brake pedal hard when you tried to start your car? My pedal is hard and it does not engage so when I press the starter button, it does not start. I tried pressing the starter button for 10 seconds with my foot off the brake and the car tries to start and then dies. I have a new battery that AAA tested and they say that it is good with an 87% charge.
@@RajeshLama101 Thanks for the reply to my question. My brake pedal is hard and my car does not start when I press the starter button for 10 seconds or longer with my foot off the brake. Somebody just told me if the car starts, like it did for you and other people, it means that you need a new brake pedal switch. Starting the car, pressing the starter button for 10 seconds, without touching the brake bypasses the brake pedal switch. If the car starts you need to replace the brake pedal switch. If it does not start, it is something else. I am still trying to figure out what my problem is.
@@mamabear3988 after your question I tried to remember what dealership told me. . They said it was break pad switch was not functioning well on my case. I hope it will help you.
Mi sonata 2011 ase exactamente lo mismo ya use el truco de los 10 segundos pero no aranco creo que mi arancador no está bueno pero mill gracias por el truco lo are cuando cambie el estarter
tldr just push start button for 10sec when it asks you to push brake pedal. Our issue seems to be electrical, after plugging in a trailer. It also turned on the shift lock, display flashes when indicating, and shift lock turned on.
So why does it happen, did you ever figure that out, also thank you mine did this last night and this video got me going again, I couldn't be more thankful to you
My 2013 sonata won't start i tried this and it start but why do i hVe to suddenly start my car like this do you ever get the problem fixed? I had my starter replaced, battery replaced, key reprogramed and i'm dealing with the same no start issues.
